For a true “vaga”, the journey is never-ending; the spirit and palate, always curious. Drawing ingredients and inspiration from near and far, VAGA explores San Diego’s ever-changing confluence of culture and wanderlust. From its perch on a coastal bluff in Encinitas, California, VAGA keeps one hand in the ocean, one hand in the farm, and both eyes on the horizon.

VAGA Restaurant & Bar is located on Level 2 of Alila Marea Beach Resort. Valet parking is available through the resort for $5.00 per car before 5 pm with validation only. After 5 pm, valet parking is $10.00 per car with no validation required. Self-parking is not available.

Waited 15 minutes before we saw our server. Food was good, not great. I had asked the hostess to send a manager to our table but that never happened. Too many great restaurants in the area…I won’t be back.

Absolutely loved the ambiance and food presentation here. Really wish we could have been seated near the window to see the sunset, but nonetheless so beautiful. I’ll be back, perhaps to sit outside near the fire to hear the waves crashing while drinking wine. The best views!

Great Views, great Vibe, great Food! We always enjoy sitting at the bar, taking in the view. The bar tenders are always fun and engaging. The burger and roasted sweet potatoes are a must!
