Tupelo Honey is a revival of Southern food and traditions rooted in the Carolina Mountains we call home. We craft brunches, lunches and suppers that bring family and friends around the table and allow for conversations and cocktails to linger longer than usual. Please arrive on time with all members in your party present. We will cancel reservations 15 minutes after the scheduled time. The combining of separate reservations will not be honored. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Experience the magic of Appalachia through our Sorghum Pork Bowl and Apple-achian Shine-tini! With the help of culinary experts in the region, our executive chef has created the quintessential Appalachian dinner. The Sorghum Pork Bowl features pork confit wrapped in Benton’s Country Ham prosciutto, served over a bed of stone-ground goat cheese grits and a bean medley with spinach and bacon. Over top is a sweet-but-savory sorghum black pepper glaze, popped sorghum, and a sprinkle of chives. This dish will fill your belly and warm your spirit! Don't forget to wet your whistle with our Apple-achian Shine-tini, featuring Ole Smoky Apple Pie Moonshine. These Appalachian-inspired dishes are available for a limited time only.

The avocado toast was short on avocado and long on onions. The pecan pie for dessert was delicious but we asked for it to be warmed and it was not. They apologized but did not offer to replace it. We did love the mini dessert option. We also appreciated the many non-alcoholic cocktails.

Excellent food. Beautiful restaurant with a nice patio. Fun craft cocktails. Kids enjoyed the restaurant as well.

We sat for 18 minutes before any acknowledgement, and that was to tell us she would be back. Other tables near us who had the same waitress were waited on within 5 minutes (yes, I was watching and timing it). We tried getting her attention multiple times. When we were ordering, she told us to "stop" in a very rude manner. Apparently she was writing in long hand and couldn't keep up with the drink order which was ice tea, 'bees knees', and 2 chocolate milks. One glass of water was brought to the table for 5 people. Either this person needs more training, better training, or this isn't the job for her.

The food was superb!! Such a nice variety of meats, vegetarian, and gluten free foods. Everyone in the party was happy!!

Good location downtown Des Moines. Plenty and street parking nearby. Food is ok. Service is better than average. Ambiance is nice and kinda upscale. Be a nice place for a drink or happy hour with clients or before a show.

Waitress took drink order and was never seen again. We waited for 20 minutes and left for another restaurant.

Tupelo Honey is literally one of my favorite places to eat. My hubs brings me here when I need a pickup. I love the ambience. Great food and service!
