Good food and good portion sizes. A cut above many Indian restaurants in that regard. However, the service was abject. Took about 3 attempts to get attention to simply order our mains and considering we were seated at 8pm, we didn't then get our mains until 9.40. Asking for simple things like water just never resulted in it actually coming. All of this is a shame as the actual food (when it eventually came) was really good.
I have dined at this restaurant on numerous occasisons, the food is excellent, staff friendly nothing to much trouble for them, give good advice if your not sure what to order, unlike me who always has the same dish (not very adventurous).Good for birthdays and they even give you a special candle on a pudding for the birthday Lady or Gentleman.
Have recommended to family, friends and colleagues.
Looking forward to my next visit, which wont be long, nothing bets a Tower tandoori Curry!
Good food and well spiced. The waiters were very helpful and keen to recommend dishes, check up with us all the time etc. Some people probably like that but since the restaurant was quite empty when we ate there, it was a bit awkward to have the waiters hover over us so much.
One of the best local Indian restaurants in Tower Bridge. Amazing food, great service, and a good value local restaurant.
We ate there with friends in the evening. Very good indian dishes, moderatley spicy, good beer, nice atmosphere and good service
The flavours, the ambience and the service are fantastic. Thoroughly recommended
Food was only average, was a little disappointing. Service was very attentive but no chocolates given with the bill
Lovely food I enjoyed the starter especially. Ordered the king prawns and squid but would like more in the form of quantity. The taste was delish! The mains were also very good. The staff are very friendly and helpful too. The fish curry was amazing. Thanks for a great meal.
The staff were ready when we arrived a little early and attentive with both food and drinks.
We all enjoyed a Thali selection and care was taken with one diner who dislikes coriander.
A great meal thanks
I love the Tower Tandoori have been a customer for years and would recommend to family and friends, food is delicious, staff are friendly and approachable they are always on hand to help, very accommodating, prices are reasonable and portion sizes are adequate.
We enjoyed our Xmas dinner at tower tandoori, the waiters were very welcoming and we're very good with our one year old. The food was good, but not amazing, however my wife is an Asian food connesiour so it takes a lot to impress her. It was reasonable value and I would recommend it as an unpretentious dining experience
Good quality Indian food and good service. Big thumbs up for me
Good tandoori dishes
Tower Tandoori is absolutely my favourite Indian restaurant in London. The staff are super friendly, the food is always great and the atmosphere is always fun. I really love it here and would recommend over and over.
Cosy feel, good service, good food especially the tandoori
A great local Indian restaurant with super service
Overall, everything was really great. The staff was attentive and friendly and the decor was quite nice. The food great authentic Tandoori.
We enjoyed a great meal at the Tower Tandoori - booked for 11 of us to share a meal at the end of an evening out celebrating our daughters' 21st birthdays. We had booked for 10.00 but were late arriving. This caused no problems. The staff were welcoming, the service was excellent - pitched at just the right speed. All the food was good quality and everyone enjoyed their chosen meals. The prices were a bit higher than we are used to, being out-of-towners, but probably reasonable considering the location, andthe number of us in the party. All in all it was a good experience and I would be happy to recommend this restaurant.
Great food and a great evening out. My girlfriend and i enjoyed the food very much.
Booked for quite a large group, coming from all over London, but the wait staff were very helpful and patient with us - especially as several people were late and I had to change numbers last minute as well, couldn't ask for better service in that respect!
The restaurant is very nicely done up, with a pleasant atmosphere, nothing too spectacular on that front but, for the price and location, still a step up from what I had hoped for.
Finally, of course, the food was exceptional. Again, for the price this was a great meal: not "budget", but better than your standard curry house fare but without any further premium. They have a very good range, with most "classic" dishes, but I would recommend eating solely from their chef's specials or house menu (not that the other dishes were bad, several friends chose those options and thoroughly enjoyed it). There are some very interesting taste mixtures and wonderful little dishes on the menu that you don't really see elsewhere. Particular thumbs up to the Rhubarb Prawns: delicious!
Would definitely recommend and will likely be back when I'm next in the area.
We arrived early and we were thankful to get a table earlier than booked, but the staff who greeted us on arrival could not speak english well, therefore did not understand what we were explaining. Whern we were seated we ordered biryani (chicken tikka and lamb). Chicken tikka tasted like it was from a packet with no taste to it at all. The amount of chicken tikka masala that we got for the price was ridiculous (few spoons), but it did taste fine. Probably the best thing that we ate there was the meat samosas. I understand that it was New Years Eve and i am not sure if the prices were higher than usual, but we paid £100 for two people to eat and we did not finish most of the food as it did not taste good. When paying such price we atleast expected a decent food, which unfortunately did not happen... would not recommend.
Loved the food and service here, reasonable priced too and very quick service.
We last went to the Tower several years ago so in suggesting it for a get together with relatives, we were concerned that standards might have changed (declined?).
Pleased to say that the food was very enjoyable, if a little hot for some - hopefully it has trained their taste buds. Compared with many Indian restaurants, the food seemed more authentic with clearly defined tastes from fresh whole spices. Each curry had its own character.
The staff were very friendly - ever so slightly pushy but nice with it. The chef even came out of the kitchen to ask how his special of the day tasted.
Service was good and efficient but we did get the feeling that they couldn't wait to clear the table once we had finished our sweels.
I love this place - excellent food and excellent service!
The food was reasonable, but the portion is really small that came with 5 pieces of meat and four pieces of king prawn
We booked to come here to try a different Indian and also to take advantage of the 50% off discount. The food was incredible, with service to match. Staff were friendly and attentive throughout, without being overbearing which can sometimes be the case. The food was brought out with sufficient waiting times between courses and the portion size for the mains were more then generous. Would highly recommend this restaurant with or without the discount applied.
Im mad for curry and have eaten in many restaurants and tower tandoori is up there with the best . Chicken madras cooked to perfection, service very good and staff very polite. Overall fantastic evening. .
Good food, good service - efficient, alert staff - a really enjoyable evening.
Five of us dined here on a Friday night. The restaurant seemed quite quiet for a Friday night, although livened up during the time we were there. The food was tasty and there were a lot of different Indian options on the menu. Service was good. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the food. I would definitely eat here again.
Went for a meal for mothers day. Everyone loved the meal and it was worth it. Fresh and tasty.
A traditional curry house menu with some interesting additions - especially the delicious lamb shank.
They charged me 7.90 for 2 large cokes that is ridiculous considering we heard them crack open the bottle. Personally I think they change their mind on soft drink pricing as they do not have a set menu on drink prices apart from Alcohol, hardly any meat in the food just loads of sauce and considering what you pay it is not worth the price. Food was ok just not worth the money. This was my first time having Indian and yeah the food was nice/decent but I wouldn't be back in a rush to try it again as this experience was a rip off.
Having not been for a few months it was great to find everything was up to usual high standard, we were given a very warm welcome at the door and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout the whole evening. We had the New Year Masti Plate which was great value and the food was as superb as ever. As always it was good to chat to the owners who always come to the table to ensure that everything ok with your meal. Will defiantly be returning soon.
Tower Tandoori happens to be the nearest curry house to me, so its selection was one of convenience more that a specific yearning. However, the food was consistently very good. I was with a big group, so we had a range of dishes, and as far as I can tell, pretty much everything was well-received. Certainly my meal was tasty and fresh and well-presented. A great place for groups, as they have long tables and two big dining areas. A good solid choice if you're craving curry!
Very nice food, great staff, friendly atmosphere ... enjoyed the experience a lot. Would return, would recommend.
Though we had to leave for work related reasons, it's always disconcerting being in a deserted restaurant that is also cold.
Always enjoy the food at Tower Tandori. Good quality and value.
i thought the service was very poor has we had so many people serving us that we did not know who or weather the order was beening put on the bill 2 or 3 times over, they did not like us saying the food was cold, we had to wait for ages to get our drinks and when we asked for a jug of water they brought us 3 pint glasses of water instead, the manager said if we were going to complain then we should leave, the starter was cold even the main was not hot really so i and my friends would not recemmend going there there at all
Really recommend it - lots of the basics done really well but also lots of really interesting dishes too. Really yummy and not all that pricey considering the setting and quality of the food.
The Buttjakola curry is amazing! Went back especially for it.
