We absolutely love the Sunset dip here...it's the best! Chips are light and the menu is fantastic. And the margaritas are dangerous!

Awful food.

Delicious food, small plates, good margaritas, the place is big but we weren’t able to get more than a tiny table with chairs about to break, other than the food the restaurant is not authentic Mexican, the atmosphere is like an American restaurant.

Great service. BBQ Chicken quesadilla very good. Marg pitchers a little pricey for $20 at happy hour when it's loaded with ice.

Great robust menu, appreciated during the crisis, with flavorful selections served by a friendly staff. Some outdoor seating, and widely-spaced tables inside.

Great service! They accomodated to our few requests without a problem, and they were very understanding the entire time. Good churros too.

Tortilla Coast is a Capitol Hill institution and is always great! Many memories here and will treasure this restaurant forever! Good food, great happy hour, awesome staff, fun atmosphere - everyone should go at least once if they’re in DC!

Had to wait a while for a table (over 20 minutes), despiser having reservations. So grabbed an open table at the bar. Chips were also very stale.

The restaurant was closed - why was I able to make a reservation if they weren’t open?

Great evening. Was bummed cos due to COVID-19 they didn't have their regular happy hour menu. Overall great though.

If you want cheap on Capitol Hill, this is fine. Kind of like a college town dive. Not bad, but just ok. But, not costly either.

Always a great time! Great prices the hostess that greats you at the door pleasant all the time and remembers us each time. The waiter always provide great service and delicious food!

A fun place near the Folger Theater. Food is ok but not special. Enjoyed the $3 tacos (which is still rather spendy for what you get) and the margarita was tasty (but also spendy).

This restaurant is slowly unraveling before our eyes. Ever since the new menu’s arrival, the kitchen has slowed to a crawl.

Given its location, speed and reliability were always its strong points - a place to fuel up in a perfect respite between Hill meetings. They used to strike a unique balance - you could either spend a full lunch enjoying a productive 90 minutes, or you could spend 25 minutes, if you had to run.

Now, it is a solid half hour to deliver nachos and a Caesar salad to the table, on a slow, rainy Monday.

In realize it’s not fast food; but TC needs to remember its roots and what got it to this point.

We were having a goodbye party for a friend. This was a great place to do it. Plenty of room and very reasonable.

This is a very pleasant place for lunch. Service is excellent and quick. Great iced tea. Great salsa. I am vegetarian, so I have only had the veggie combo, which is good. It's not too noisy, so you can talk to your companions and actually hear each other. Easy to get to from Metro S. Capitol stop.

For years, Tortilla Coast has been my go-to lunch choice on Capitol Hill, known for its reliable service, good traditional Mexican dishes, and quick service - it's not uncommon for me to eat here more than once in a week. However, since the arrival of the new menus, something in the kitchen has broken down. Gone are the "how'd-they-make-it-so-quick?" delivery of my Sunset Burrito, allowing me a sit-down meal between Hill meetings. The new menu has brought long waits and staring nervously at the clock. How many bowls of chips & salsa can I eat? It was four, apparently, while we waited...and waited. I suspect I'm not the first person to notice this sudden departure - I urge the management to pay special attention to keep this special delivering what its customers want.

This Capitol Hill institution is a reliable source of good, reasonably priced Mexican food. Being open for brunch on weekends is a bonus.

One particular man dining alone had a lengthy and loud conversation with someone 2 tables away.... I’m in DC so they were discussing differing political opinions but it was overpowering & ruined my meal.

The food was great as usual but the service was just the best. Edwin waited on us and he's terrific.

We had 8 people in our party and they were able to seat us right away and immediately brought water and homemade chips and salsa! They were delicious!! The wait staff was very attentive and the food was plentiful and great!

Food used to be great, just sub-par on this visit. Service was soooo slow, had to wait ages for our food.

Went because I wanted tacos and they had hard shell ones, wasn’t disappointed.

My boyfriend and I stopped in for lunch after touring the Capitol Building. We could immediately tell that we chose a good spot because we could see plenty of locals on lunch break from working on Capitol Hill. We weren’t wrong. I ordered the Coast Tacos with ground beef and my boyfriend ordered the Blanca’s Tacos al Carbon with chicken. The tacos were amazing! They come with rice and beans, and the rice was to die for!

From out of town and wanted to try something local. Great food and prices, attentive server, quirky fun atmosphere. One of our best overall dining experiences during this trip.
