Everything was delicious.
Short rib tacos were more filling than I’d anticipated. Great blend of spices and textures.
Red Snapper with pumpkin sides was also cooked to perfection.
And the grilled Red snapper with a salad side was equally perfect.
Wait service very nice, very knowledgeable, almost too attentive.
Table bussing was annoying, made us feel rushed. The intent was well meant to provide prompt service but it killed the pace of the meal and we skipped desert.
Contrary to many other reviewers we both felt the price was reasonable for the dining experience overall.
Food was outstanding. Maybe the best food we ate in Cabo. We ate well might I add at places such as Manta and Cocina Del.
Views were very nice as well from any where in the restaurant.
Toro has consistently good service and great food. We can't say enough good things about the food, atmosphere and service.
While the food was great the building was beautiful the noise level made the experience not pleasant
From in to out the door, a memorable experience.
Great food presented with a flair!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Toro. We sat outside near the Whale Tail sculpture and it was beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend the short rib tacos and the tomato, watermelon and mozzarella salad. The sea bass was to die for also. I will definitely go back and highly recommend this wonderful restaurant.
We sat outside which was wonderful with the fountains, lights and band. It was a little cool but the heating lamps and blankets made up for that. The music was great and we loved it but was a little too loud to be able to have much conversation at the table. Food and drinks were great. We had the Peruvian ceviche and the shrimp and crab enchiladas. Both were very good. The house specialty margarita was great as was the flaming Mexican coffee. Our waiter, Octavio, was very attentive, delightful, and fun. Loved him! We would definitely go back!
This is my family's favorite spot in Los Cabos. I brought my visiting girlfriends from the UK and as usual, Toro delivered a memorable evening. From the valet that never let a door go unopened, to the smiling hostesses welcoming you back, to the management who always greets us, to the sommelier (Hector) who always has some special wines and great stories, and to all of the staff who clearly enjoy what they are doing, we are always impressed. Our favorite spot is at the bar and our friends away from home are Francisco, "Shorty", Joel and affectionately the "New Guy". The bartenders and sushi staff are always laughing, smiling and fun to observe and interact with. The food is beautifully presented, always fresh and amazing and the drinks are artfully prepared and great tasting. Can't recommend anything better in Cabo!
We each enjoyed our meal very much. All eight of us got different entrees and they were all excellent.
We loved the restaurant ambiance and the bar. The service was not in sync with appetizers that we ordered to have with champagne arriving before we got our champagne, no water service without asking, not letting us know that you were out of Tuna [?] prior to us ordering and then having to start over, etc...We will be back and hope for more experienced wait staff and a full larder of food available. We travel to Cabo about 6 times + per year so we could be very loyal customers...Thanks.
I am not even sure how to start this review. Three of us went on Feb 19, 2019 and had the most ridiculous dining experience ever. First, we went to order wine and both selections we requested were not available. So I asked the waiter for a recommendation for a bottle of wine around $100-$125 US dollars and he proceeded to tell me that he didn’t have anything he could recommend outside of $300-$500 US dollars?!!! Next, I went to order the Tuna and was told that they were completely out of tuna (keep in mind about 1/3 of the menu is tuna) Then we tried to order a salad and were told they were completely out of lettuce. The cherry on top though was when we asked for a side of potatoes and we were told they somehow were completely out of potatoes as well. Typically in a situation like this we would expect to hear from a manager, however this did not happen. The best we could get was a confession from the waiter that he was looking for a different job.
On the plus side the bread was outstanding.
Awesome restaurant. Great food. Fantastic service. Beautiful environment.
The food and service and ambiance were great, the music was deafening
Amazing as always! Our third visit and just as good as the first. Impressive food and service. We'll be back!
Excellent food and excellent waiter
We went to Toro on our last night in Cabo. It was by far the best food we had all week! The restaurant is absolutely stunning and the service was excellent. We had the watermelon salad, the ceviche, the soft shell crab tacos and the short rib tacos. All were beautifully prepared and delicious. There are many small plates that can be shared and a good selection of larger entrees too. We had a delightful Mexican rose with our meal and capped it off with the best churros I’ve ever had. It was a little pricy for Mexico but totally on par with a decent restaurant in any major city ($200 incl wine) highly recommmended!
The directions in Open Table are wrong by at least 1/2 a mile. They were out of Tuna! 1/3 of the dishes required Tuna! Food was ok but extremely overpriced! I won’t return and not recommend.
Third time dining here. Food is delicious and creative
One of the best food experiences in Cabo
Very interesting presentation for almost all the dishes
Sushi and soft crab taco were superb
What a lovely restaurant! Beautifully designed and decorated, excellent service nd delicious food. From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. The menu is diverse and innovative. The wine list is extensive and represents well the terrific wines of Mexico. The service staff is well trained and they make you feel welcome and well taken care of. This is in all dimensions a first rate restaurant.
This restaurant is outstanding! The service is great, food was delicious and the atmosphere was wonderful as well. I wish I could pack this rest up in my suitcase and take it back to SRB with me.
Wonderful service great atmospheres
Excelente comida, servicio, ambiente
Some of the menu items were not described well. But the food was delicious.
Great ambiance and really good food
Fantastic location, very rustic chic decor. Food was delicious and presentation was exceptional. Highly recommended and we will make this on our top 10 favorites in Cabo.
Toro was absolutely amazing! I’ve been coming to Cabo for more than 20 years now and this is our favorite restaurant. The bar is so cool and the tables and ambience were amazing as well. It definitely had a fun Vibe there with good music even prior to the band. There was a live band that started around 8/8:30 that was a lot of fun. Not too loud either, we really enjoyed it. We were there for 3 hours enjoying ourselves and were never rushed once. Service was excellent and I would 100% recommend again.
Food was excellent and I would absolutely recommend the steak or the Lomo. They were cooked perfectly and melted in your mouth. Also for dessert get the Mexican coffee. They make a show of it at your table and it was definitely an unexpected nice touch. I don’t have enough good things to say about it. It’s a little pricey compared to to your average downtown restaurant but it’s very much in line with other peers.
Maravilloso lugar! El restaurant es una belleza con una atmosfera muy cálida y la comida es deliciosa. No pude encontrar mejor lugar para festejar mi cumpleaños con mis mejores amigas.
The food is aways great at Toro. We like an early dinner at Tora so that we have the outside seating area almost ot ourselves. The service is great, and they serve at the pace that you want - not rushed or slow. I really appreciate the effort they made this time to accommodate my daughter that is Vegan. They had several unique options for her.
Thanks again for a wonderful dinner!
Not our first time here nor will it be the last. Food is creative, tasty and proportioned well. We did the watermelon salad and the tacos...both excellent. My wife did the sushi and thought it was excellent. We finished with a couple of treats...both of which were excellent.
We had a family of 4 and I felt the price was unbelievably high for the quality of the food. I would say the food had a beautiful presentation but was just average at best. For 4 people which included 2 children our bill was well over $400.
Cuisine was well created and designed by Richard Sandoval and well executed by the staff. Noise level and music was edgy and seemed to be in keeping with under 40 crowd. Everything was fast passed including service, while prompt gave the impression of wanting to turn our table. The experience was a little too trendy, scripted and choreographed to give it 5 stars.
I was impressed on every level! Food, service, ambience, drink menu, etc, etc, etc. Toro was a welcome destination away from the daily resort food! Amazing...
From the minute we got there the service was outstanding staff was well-trained and attentive.
The food was terrific would highly recommend!
Loved everything about our meal and experience. The only thing I didn’t like was trying to decide what to order! Everything on the menu sounded amazing. Can not wait to go back and try more dishes!
Amazing food and great service. Beautiful bar to have drinks at and outstanding patio with fire pits and couches!
Wonderful concept restaurant with interesting unusual menu. Ideal outdoor seating with cover, cozy indoor tables, and vast spread out bar seating.
Our waiter, Adriana, and his assistant were attentive and remembered our food allergies.
The signature Escobar fish was nicely cooked, but otherwise not inspired. The tuna chiccarones were delicious as was the beet tomato salad.
We will be back!
Overall a good experience, however I felt a little rushed. I like to enjoy a cocktail and chat for a few minutes before placing my dinner order, normally 15 or 20 minutes maximum. Appetizers were delicious and the wood fired shrimp was outstanding.
Dinner was superb possibly one of the best meals we have ever had in Cabo with one exception the cost of the bottled water was ridiculous at over $11 a bottle. Our party of 5 unknowingly drank close to $70 worth of water. They continued to refill the water not asking if we wanted another bottle so we naively though it was complimentary. I have never in my life either traveling abroad to almost 40 countries nor living in the states ever paid that much for water.
