Toro Latin Kitchen & Bar by Richard Sandoval calificaciones y reseñas
Excellent food & service. We had a lovely table outdoors but could not enjoy the dinner because the music was so loud. We literally were screaming at each other across the table. The band was very good, just way too loud for a table so close to the band.
Hands down one of my top five meals of all time. Took my family out for dinner and we tried as much of the menu as we could. It was amazing from the appetizers to the desserts the menu is well thought out and executed. Would highly recommend giving Toro a try.
We dined here during our trip to Cabo and the food and drinks did not disappoint. We begin with the Acevichado Nikkei Roll and the Angry Tuna/Salmon Roll both were delicious!! Sometimes the rice on a sushi roll is packed too tightly and the rice vinegar is too strong, but these rolls were perfect. There was absolutely no need for the soy sauce because the sauce accompaniment was very flavorful. The drinks, chocolate martinis and the rum old fashioned were very good as well. The rum old fashioned arrived at the table with a smokiness very aromatic of grilled wood chips. Not only did the drink arrive with a flair and smokey it was very good and smooth. The other diners wanted to have a smell as the waiter was leaving. For our main course we both chose the Miso-Chipotle Escolar Fish and it was wonderful!! Excellent presentation, flavor and portion size. We will definitely return on our next trip!!
My wife and I decided to dine here after a recommendation from the concierge at our resort. Let me just tell you from beginning to end it was an excellent experience.
The hostess sat us at a very nice, romantic table outside with a great view. On the way to the table we passed by 4 or 5 staff members that all greeted us. Our server Bruno handed us the wine menu and explained it to us. He also guided us through the regular menu making a few suggestions.
For drinks we both got the first one on the specialty drink menu. My wife ordered the Peruvian ceviche and empenadas for us to share, tortilla soup for her and I ordered Argentinian skirt steak with Mexican rice.
Long story short the food was amazing, lots of flavor for everything, the steak was cooked just how I asked (medium well) and the service was great. We would definitely go back next time we're in Cabo and recommend that anyone looking for a great meal with great service at a good price check Toro out.
This was not our first time dining at this restaurant, but this time the service was lacking across the board. We brought in a bottle of wine, it was opened by the waiter, who put the bottle down and left. He did not present the cork, he took the cork with him and we never saw it again.
He did not pour the wine, in fact never touched the wine bottle again for the entire dinner! We poured our own wine all evening until the bottle was finished.
Our food was presented correctly and to be fair my wife's meal was delicious and although her NY strip was a bit over cooked, the meat was outstanding and the flavor was great.
My steak, a fillet that was asked for "medium" came well over cooked, between medium-well and well. It could have easily been fixed but it was 23 minutes after the placement of the food that we were again visited by the waiter to ask if everything was alright.
At this point in the meal, my wife and I were joking that, "perhaps there will be something nice with chocolate in it to help us finish out the bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon that we had brought, but before we were ever allowed to look, the waiter, having seen that I did not eat my steak, just decided to bring us a dessert. It was a sweet cornmeal with candied almonds and a Rompope liquor topping, just the opposite of the flavor profile that we wanted for the remaining wine. We were never asked if we wanted dessert or allowed to see a menu.
Suffice to say that the meal was a mess due to a lack of proper attention by the waiter, the support staff and the kitchen. It is unfortunate because we have been there a few times before and the experience was much better.
Food and service were excellent. Wait stafff was very attentive. Being familiar with wine from California and Italy we found the prices for wine on your wine list to be incredibly high. We brought our own bottle of wine and thought that the corkage fee of $45 was also outrageous. Overall, we loved your restaurant and will return often and we'll definitely recommend your restaurant to all of our out of town friends.
The food is creatively amazing. The service always exceeds our expectations. The view is out of this world! I would suggest starting with a cocktail on a gorgeous patio with a The beautiful views which makes for amazing photo opportunities.
Beautiful restaurant just off the highway a few miles east of Cabo San Lucas. The building is striking, a nice blend of modern and traditional decor. The staff was very attentive, friendly and welcoming.
The menu included a number of cuts of meat (as the name would imply) but also fresh seafood, beautiful fresh locally sourced salads and several traditional Mexican dishes. Toro had a nice wine list, both by the glass and the bottle.
We will gladly return to Toro the next time we are in Cabo. Highly recommended! A fine evening!
Toro was recommended to us by an acquaintance. We went and were so delightfully surprised. the restaurant is located in front of the Esperanza Resort and has some ocean views. If you're not viewing the ocean you are viewing a magnificent, large water fountain of whale tails.
The menu is so good that we had a hard time deciding what to order. The food is some of the very finest that we have ever experienced in our 13-years of visiting Cabo. We went back a second night with friends who were equally delighted.
A definite new favorite of ours in Cabo. We'll be back every time we're in Cabo.
Hands down, I received the best service that I have ever experienced at ANY restaurant thus far. The waiters were so very attentive, so attentive that my friends and I were surprised several times throughout the night. Meaning, they did things that we didn't even ask them to do, and were always close-by standing at attention. They were also very sweet & funny! This staff goes above an beyond for their guests. We were also the only group dining that late at night on the patio, but I could still tell that this was just how they are on a regular basis anyway.
We ate at a lot of great restaurants during our vacation in Cabo San Lucas and this was our favorite. The corn empanadas that we shared for an appetizer almost made me weep with joy. The environment here is a little more flashy and upscale than other places in Cabo but the service was still approachable. So put on a pretty dress and head over to this restaurant - you won't regret it!
