In the midst of our girls trip with two of my best friends, we veered off the the path to Chattanooga to try this restaurant in Jasper. And its name was very fitting as it was up a very steep incline and the view was beautiful! The food and service was great! My only complaint was the Maitre d'. We arrived an hour earlier than our reservation because we dropped a stop on our route. When we got there the place was not even at 25% capacity. She escorted us to the lower deck and went to seat us. I asked about a table which would give us a better view of the valley, and she said those are reserved. Oh really? They stayed empty the majority of the time we were there and even when we left, there was an empty table. There was a table of 4 that was seated next to us and they asked about the same seats and they were moved. There was a young couple that asked about the same seats and they were not moved. So the difference was, we didn’t look like the locals.

To start, there was no parking; however, restaurant was not full. Had to “make” a parking spot. Then, had to wait 30 minutes when we had a reservation and there were plenty of tables. View was amazing and the patio seating was perfect. Food was average at best. Chicken piccata was soggy. Service was extremely slow. Will probably not be back.

We had a change of plans and needed an earlier reservation. Online did not show any availability. Called the restaurant and they were happy to accommodate. We did wait a little while for food, but waitress apologized and stated the kitchen was a little backed up. Ordered a couple of the seasonal specials. Food was very good. They seems to have left one of the plates above a warmer too long as the arugula was all wilted upon arrival at the table. However, the taste was excellent on all three dishes. We ordered the elk burger, chicken schnitzel and sausage platter.

Overall not bad. The fish and chips were pretty good but the fries were a little squishy and not and crispy. Same for the chips my husband had. The service was pretty bad. Our waitress kept disappearing and forgetting items (like silverware) and we ended up cancelling dessert because it took so long to never show up… **But** the lower deck has a gorgeous view which makes it with it, and the staff is very polite, if not completely on the ball.

I loved this place and will definitely come back. The view was amazing. The deck is my ideal restaurant experience.

We were celebrating a birthday and EVERYONE loved their meal! Several had the filet and said you could cut it with a fork. My husband said his burger was the best he has had at a restaurant. The ribeye was fabulous. I had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious and I loved the veggies. It was so good that one in our group took her husband back the next day. We are all looking forward to returning and won’t wait for a special occasion! Kudos to the chef, management and service staff for a job that was beyond well done!

Great atmosphere and the food was outstanding. Everyone was friendly and excellent service. I definitely recommend trying

Always a pleasure going to Top of the Rock. View is spectacular , and service as well as food excellent. The Oktoberfest lager was superb!!
