Waited over 20 minutes to even see a wait staff last night. Only by flagging them down. We had a reservation we set earlier in the day. It was to celebrate just proposing to my finance. The waiter told us the reason it is taking so long is because the general manager decided to come in with a huge party and they feel pressured to serve only them right now. We told them we understood the situation but even getting somebody to talk to us or give us waters would be nice. After almost an hour of being there we finally were able to eat. They forgot our starters so we had to re-order those. The food was good but not worth the service or wait we had to ensure. Overall I felt very frustrated and embarrassed to take my new fiance to such a fine looking restaurant on a reservation only to be told we were not very important and to be treated dismissively to where we couldnt have more than a minute with our waiter to request ot be checked up on. We spent over 175 dollars for 4 people for a unimpressive experience all around. We left and went to the On The Bend bar down the riverwalk. It was cheaper, staff was happier and more attentive, and had live music that openly celebrated our proposal. Thank goodness they saved the night that your restaurant almost ruined. And I dont blame the wait staff. I blame the General Manager who put his own restaurant and team in this situation so selfishly. I hope they are treated better going forward or find a better place to work than this place.

Style over substance, sad to report. Love the vibes here. Located on the River Walk with an "underground" tiki bar. Unfortunately, the food did not match the ambiance. Service was fine at best. They were friendly, but took their time between dishes and refilling drinks. Nothing bad, but also nothing to write home about. The color scheme is all warm colors, from the neon pink sign outside to the yellowed lighting inside. Looks like a full bar, but not necessary when the tiki vibing The Hugman's Bar downstairs. Owned by the same peoples, but separate. Family style dining, maybe tapas, depending on your perspective. We ordered the Brisket Egg Roll (literally only one, could barely taste the brisket) & Musubi (fine, but difficult to screw up canned meat with rice wrapped with seaweed) for the appetizers. Main courses were the Dashi Waffle (bonito flakes are always fun, came with pork belly and shrimp; the waffle was pretty dry and a little tough, not as fluffy in the batter department) & Grilled Salmon (second best dish; crispy and tender with great flavor) & The Tokyo Cowboy Double Cheeseburger (was told that the meat was tasty, but unfortunately any sides like fries must be ordered separately). The sides were, interestingly, both better and larger than the entrees. Their spin on Macaroni & Cheese was the best "dish" tonight, course designation be damned! They used rice cakes, a popular Chinese and Korean alternative to noodles or rice, with a delicious blend of Mexican cheeses in sauce form, topped with bacon and kimchi. Great mix of savory flavors. Also had the green beans. (Like the other side we tried, excellent. Rounds out the top three things here). Desert was a shared Tres Leches cake. A suitable conclusion to the night, as it represented our dinner- good, but not great; fine and forgettable. This place has potential. Upgrading the menu to better reflect the ambiance and prices would be a must. Still a decent place to check out- maybe stick to sides?

Fun spin on Asian dishes infused with Tex Mex spice. Enjoyed the brisket egg rolls and chicken karaage.

Came on a Friday night about 6, before it got very busy. We were staying at the hotel next door for the night. The service was really good—all the servers around were attentive. Had a cocktail, appetizers and shared plates. Everything was very tasty. It started getting busier when we left, and I can see it probably will get pretty packed on weekend nights.
