If you're a foodie visiting PV, a dinner at Tintoque is A MUST! Every single bite was magic, and the service was top-notch. Be sure to ask for a table by the river, because the ambience was truly lovely. Instead of a wine pairing, my partner asked to substitute with tequila pairings and the staff was happy to accommodate. This was a meal for the ages! Such imaginative flavor combinations. I would eat here again and again.

Food was okay. A la carte menu is far superior to the tasting menu. Million peso ingredients for thousand peso plates. I was a little underwhelmed given the hype.
The soft shell crab was exceptional, may be one of the best tasting things I’ve ever had. Presentation was beautiful too!

All went well for a birthday supper for our friend who, alongside his wife, are vegetarians who make an exception very occasionally for fish. Both are usually disappointed in restaurant offerings that suit this choice they have made... so I was very relieved when all three dishes they ordered proved tasty! The salad with burrata felt like it needed better olive oil and some separation from the leaf salad but that was my take and it was not my dish. I also tasted the sardines and they seemed perfect. I was particularly impressed with their corn truffled with cuitlacoche - that dish is GENIUS. I love corn myself.... for me truly the sacred food of the gods of the Earth. Anyway, I had octopus and soft shell crab - both amazingly good. The wines were nice (I had red Fluxus) but the menu a little heavy on fruit, with a Cab Sab and Merlot bias, but perhaps that reflects Mexican wines? No Pinot grapes, not much Grenache, except in blends and the Nebbiolo rosado we had to start surprisingly sweet. Thank you for looking after us and complements to the chef.

Tintoque is much more gourmet than any other restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. The setting, along the river, is incredibly charming. The service members are very knowledgeable about food and wine. It is a food lovers experience.
One of the best new brunch spots in town. Quiet and away from the clamor of Zona Romantica and yet in the heart of it, with the same level of excellence and service they provide at dinner. The Chambord Mimosas are a must!
Tintoque is a favorite restaurant to take friends and family. I just had brunch for the first time and it was fabulous. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, it is just perfect for a setting along the river and for Vallarta.

Our third time at this amazing restaurant in its beautiful new location by the Rio Cuale. Third time also to enjoy the impressive tasting menu with wine pairing. As close to Michelin star quality as most of us will ever get, at a fraction of the price. Enjoy!
There isn’t enough space for me to write the spectacular experience we had at Tintoque. The burrata appetizer was amazing as was the duck and sea bass entrees. The service was impeccable. The setting is along the river with twinkle lights to add to the romance. We were there to celebrate my birthday, and the staff made it memorable.

This was definitely the top 2 restaurant experiences we had in our 6 weeks in Puerto Vallarta. Tops for service and food and wine. We loved what they did with their presentations and mixing different flavors and textures together. And the Sommelier is very good at his craft and is building the largest wine cellar in PV. We highly recommend this restaurant!

First, I made a reservation for my boyfriend’s birthday. I asked in my request to give us a birthday song as a surprise. When we came there, the receptionist asked if we have some special date today, and I had to repeat again, that “yes”, birthday. I wanted to keep it as a surprise for him , but it got spoiled. I put it in my request and the question is: “why there are not attentive with these things?!!!”
Second thing is that is when we came, we were not informed beforehand or before we took the drinks that they have only one special menu today and that is only our choice. I felt so bad, that nobody called me and we could have made a reservation to another place with a bigger variety of food for the birthday dinner!!!
We had no choice , but to stay in this place because I was in high heels and we didn’t know any place near by. It was Friday and lots of places are booked.
The place looks pretty Mexican style, but don’t expect some very highent class.

At the end we had a bill of 160$ with the drinks which I think didn't worth this place.
Absolutely fantastic. Get the tasting menu with the pairings. Service, presentation, quality all absolutely on point. I’ll be dreaming of the red snapper for months to come. Best restaurant in PVR as far as I am concerned.
Tintoque is a fantastic restaurant with outstanding food. The service is pretty good, however, it always seems disorganized and hectic. My biggest complaint is the bar; they couldn't make a decent cocktail if their lives depended on it. When the waiter comes to the table and suggests a Negroni, they should know how to make a Negroni. I've been going to Tintoque since they first opened in the Marina, where I eventually just learned to not have cocktails and stick to wine. I was hoping after they switched locations that I might be able to get a good cocktail. Nope. I feel that a restaurant at this level needs to have competent bar staff and at the bare minimum know how to make classic cocktails, which are the foundation for everything else.

Excellent place to try something truly different, the 36hr cooked tomato was excellent!! Pretty much everything was good, choose the pairing and thumbs up for the Baja wines. If you like to eat well and come to Vallarta make sure to try Tintoque
This was our best dining experience in PV and perhaps the best I’ve had since the pandemic started. Outstanding and innovative food without pretension. Very very good.
It was great choice - food was amazing. the mix of flavors where great. Most of the drinks where good and great wine collection. Not cheap but was definitely worth every penny!
Of the many restaurants we visited while on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, this was one of our top 3 with everything fabulous. The short ribs were spectacular.
