Probably the most underrated restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. Oh yeah, and the best. Fresh catches, great wine, wonderful atmosphere. Likely having an engagement dinner here in the near future.
Wow....we’re we disappointed. This restaurant was highly recommended by a friend. Unfortunately we had one of the worst meals we’ve ever had in Puerto Vallarta. The service was great in the beginning. Once the order was placed and our wine was opened we never saw our server again. Not to offer water? Pour wine or to apologize for the painfully slow service.it took 35 minutes to be served our entree.
The food was a train wreck. We had their hen (poultry). When I say that it was the driest poultry that ever touched my lips I am understanding the issue. It was so dry that it had a chalky consistency , we also had the rib eye aged steak - it was extremely cold and not cooked to the right temp.
I unfortunately in good conscious I cannot recommend this restaurant
Absolutely delicious find in a beautifully kept historic building. Staff was knowledgeable, thoroughly explained the menu and the food and drinks were unique. A must try spot.
Best restaurant in PV! Ask for a table outside at the river!!
Tintoque has a great location along the river. The seats on the patio are wonderful. The inside dining room is beautiful.
The menu was eclectic and interesting. Many good choices. I had a unique appertize (tomato baked for 36 hours) that was terrific. The food was very flavorful and my entres was also great.
From the hostess greeting at the door to the service from the Maitre d’ and the staff on top of a beautiful setting and outstanding food...it was a perfect evening!
Amazing food, amazing scenery, amazing staff, amazing chef!
We found the service and atmosphere to be incredible. The food was not what we expected having been to the location in the marina. The gazpacho was too cold to drink and way too much in it. The fish was much better. Perhaps there are too many tastes going on at the same time.
Everything about this place is wonderful, words cannot describe some of the dishes they have. A must go to if your are in Puerto Vallarta
We are spoiled- but that was one of the most memorable fabulous meals of our life. The service was impeccable, the food - incredible burst of flavors. We had octopus and catch of the day as a main dish. The octopus was great , the fish was amazing- I would eat as my last meal on Earth.
We came for our anniversary meal having reasonable expectations- the Tintoque experience was fantastic from amuse bouche first bite to the dessert and our special anniversary unexpected treat.
We will definitely be back when next time in PV.
We loved it! The food and service are excellent! Thank you 🙏🏻
This was the highlight meal of our trip to PV. Delightful atmosphere and service.
Food was excellent! The octopus could be a bit more cooked but still we ate it along with some fresh tortilla and salsa and it was fine. Cocktails are just delightful! We were thinking about having some wine in the beginning when we sat but after looking around and seeing the cocktails we changed our mind. The passion fruit cocktail was amazing!
Would highly recommend this place! Super romantic!
Wonderful new location of Tintoque at Col. Emiliano Zapata. Large terrace with Rio Cuale views. Food and service and ambience has been as excellent as before.
Great food as always in a stunning new location!
Best of everything at this fabulous restaurant. Joel is so creative, and also a humble, special person
Great charming location, superb food, and friendly service. Vallarta's best!
Simply excellent. Service and food was exceptional
Every time I’m in PV I come to Tintoque (4th time last Saturday). I always have high expectations every time I visit. The vibes, energy, presentation of food, music and service was a little off. I guess maybe it’s because of the lock down and also it has moved to a new place. Don’t get me wrong Tintoque is still good but it can be fabulous again.
Food is still good and the staff are very accommodating and very nice. Service needs to be polished some more.
I hope when I come back next time that it will be back to being one of my favorite restaurant in PV.
Volveremos!
This is a hidden gem!
Food is excellent and will impress any foodie.
Classy atmosphere with excellent service. We were lucky to be seated on the terrace by the river. Very romantic setting.
Highly recommend for those looking for nouveau Mexican cuisine.
Some of the best food in town, excellent service and super cool ambiance
Excellent menu choices, great location and ambience, friendly eager to please service.
Was very disappointed I could not order the "Tasting menu" because of their policy that over 50% of the table has to order it. We were four, two of us wanted it but it had to be three to be over the percentage. If we had been three at the table, two could have ordered. Does this make any sense??? It cost the restaurant $2,000.00 and the server received $400.00 less gratuity because of the lower amount. Everyone was a loser, we did not get what we wanted for dinner, the business lost money (apparently they are successful enough they don't need it and can afford to treat customers this way) and the server lost income. I would think with the present pandemic every dollar would count. Vallarta has many restaurants of this quality to choose from and I will certainly consider that this week when we want an exceptional dinner.
Overall I applaud what they are trying to do. Potion sizes are very small. You really should order an appetizer and entree. I had the lamb tamale that was fabulous- a little salty but otherwise very well done. You only get one tamale on sauce- nothing accompanied it. My husband had the octopus- very good- a little over charred but otherwise very tender. Our one friend had the Mahi special and said it was ok- said the fish was a little dry and overcooked. His wife had the mushroom entree and it didn’t look very good. She ate about 2/3 of it. It looked like diced mushrooms in a sort of thickened broth. They split the cheesecake dessert and said it was very good. We split the coconut dessert- it was interesting and good. The wine selection is very good. I think the food overall is inventive but just needs a little more attention.
A little noisy & I didn't like everything on the tasting menu, but I'd still go back. It was $75 for a nine-course tasting menu without wine. You cannot beat that. I would order a la carte next time.
Excellent service, but the best is the food
I will recommend the octopus, the tamal de borrego and all is specially delightful
A unique place in the marina Vallarta
Great service as always and an amazing menu to enjoy
So noisy and loud we couldn’t even speak to our friends. They NEED to install noise proofing on their ceiling. Food unique but very limited menu.
We would not return.
Wonderful evening out with friends. Service was very good, not over attentive but just enough. Ordered the baked tomatoes....wow! So nice and full of flavour with the peanut mole sauce. Almost like having dessert before dinner! Main course was the lamb stew tamales. Never had a tamale with a grape leaf wrapper, until now. So tasty! Had to finish the sauce off with my spoon it was so good. Compliments to the chef and staff for a wonderful dining experience! Can’t wait to return next year!
The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Victor was our server and did a wonderful job. Highly recommend.
Tasting menu was delicious, interesting, and surprising. 12 courses, but only a few bites of each. Well paced.
Of all the restaurants we’ve tried in Puerto Vallarta (over 100], this is the most interesting. If you are adventurous, go here.
Total outstanding experience. Amazing food. Fun engaging people. Can’t wait to go back!!
Had a wonderful dinner last night as we celebrated our anniversary. David (and the team of other servers) took wonderful care of us. We tried the tasting menu and each bite was so different and prepared beautifully. The flavors all were distinct and delectable. We will be back. Thank you again!
We went to 4 fine dining establishments while in Puerto Vallarta and this one impressed us the most. Extremely thoughtful dishes, a culinary delight. Highly recommended.
The best in Puerto Vallarta !! Amazing I will always come back here and recommend it to friends and family
Service was mediocre, the menu is designed to have you spend $75 and up per person. The food is ok, the service was worth 10% tip, mainly because the hostess was considerate, otherwise <%10.
Yes but with I would advise them to ask you to take your time serving the food.
We were rushed by thé service. We had not finished our cocktails that our apetizers and our main course was served. To Quick!!!!
Realmente una excelente cena
The food is always amazing here. Dishes are well thought out with high quality ingredients and interesting presentation. Staff is courteous and friendly. The non-traditional cheesecake is amazing! They couldn't seem to get the recipe for a cosmopolitan cocktail correct... at least not the way one guest wanted it...but this is a very minor glitch.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had- highly recommend!
