The best in Puerto Vallarta !! Amazing I will always come back here and recommend it to friends and family
Service was mediocre, the menu is designed to have you spend $75 and up per person. The food is ok, the service was worth 10% tip, mainly because the hostess was considerate, otherwise <%10.
Yes but with I would advise them to ask you to take your time serving the food.
We were rushed by thé service. We had not finished our cocktails that our apetizers and our main course was served. To Quick!!!!
Realmente una excelente cena
The food is always amazing here. Dishes are well thought out with high quality ingredients and interesting presentation. Staff is courteous and friendly. The non-traditional cheesecake is amazing! They couldn't seem to get the recipe for a cosmopolitan cocktail correct... at least not the way one guest wanted it...but this is a very minor glitch.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had- highly recommend!
We always enjoy our meals here. Our out of town guests also really enjoyed it.
Deliciousness! A bit expensive! but worth every penny!
Tinoque continues to delight. My second dinner there in a week's time. Slight disappointment that they did not have duck or chicken on a Saturday night (and we were there early). Nonetheless, a superior dinner as well as excellent service. Can't say enough about the grilled shrimp and the 36 hr tomatoes.
Tintoque remains a breath of fresh air for diners here in Puerto Vallarta.
Excellent experience. The octopus entree was outstanding.
We were looking for an authentic fine dining experience and it was wonderful. Many layers of wonderful flavours in each dish. We had green salad and grilled shrimp for appetizers and lamb tamale and chicken for main course. All were great
Exceptional! Had the 12-course tasting menu with wine pairings -- made it to my "top 10" globally!
The chef is truly a food genius and master of his craft!
We were a group of 4 and everyone raved about their experience. From the food to the very experienced wait staff, we felt this was dining at a very high level. Would definitely go back.
Have been here several times and it has yet to disappoint. Returning this Saturday, again.
We Had the opportunity to visit twice within the past week. First time we’ve visited with our family including our 11 month old granddaughter. It was an early seating and the staff were absolutely wonderful with her. We had a spectacular dinner and an awesome bottle of wine.
We returned the following weekend with friends of ours and enjoyed the tasting menu paired with their wine suggestions. Again, the staff and food were outstanding! We even returned the next day to ask about some of the wines we had forgotten to take note of with our dinner. They were very accommodating in assisting us. In checking the wine selections, we discovered that the price points of the wine served, are certainly worth the price charged for the tasting. We will definitely be returning!
A perfect place to end a great vacation! Tintoque never disappoints!
Excelente lugar. La comida única y exquisita. Definitivamente, una de las mejores decisiones de esta visita a Puerto Vallarta. Vayan, de verdad no se van a arrepentir.
Service was horrific. Twelve plus tasting menu where it took 20 to 30 minutes per course to be served. Excruciatingly slow. No apologies or explanation. Painful. They should be embarrassed. We left early. Never again.
Food was interesting, but very limited menu. Heavy on seafood. Although few customers, we had to request water be refilled several times. Prices seemed high for the food.
Let me begin by stating our server Daniel was excellent. Spent time described the various selections and NEVER pressure us to order. We began with cocktails serving my wife a Margarita with Don Julio Silver... he could of sold us an expensive tequilas-as they have an expansive selection, but as he stated if your mixing it in a Margarita enjoy a nice but not overly expensive tequila...my wife thought it was excellent and enjoyed two of them. Boring me I did a Dirty Martini with Absolut. For an appetizer we enjoyed the special-Oysters(2) and two type of Clam preparations. The flavors combined were marvelous. For our entree we had the fish of the day -Mahi-mahi. Once again the flavors in the dish were excellent. It was eating French complexities without all the butter, cream, etc. Yes it was a truly wonderful dining experience without all the calories. We will be back. Thanks to the Chef and the Sous Chefs for an outstanding dining experience. Yes it’s much more than dinner...you can feel the LOVE on the plates. M
Mahi Mahi was the best I have ever tasted. The soft shell crab was very small, that appetizer was much larger the last time I had it at Tintoque. Very good food and drinks.
We really like the interesting food selections. The staff is very polite & accommodating . The ONLY aspect of the restaurant we don’t like is the noise level and the music which is non music just a constant annoying beating. Other friends have mentioned to me how much they like the food , wouldn’t return because of the noise level.
It is unfortunate the only solution seems to be to go to dinner early!
The menu had several items that we didn't want but there was a good variety of food to choose from. We enjoyed the dishes we ordered. The servers seemed a little confused at times and when the food came no plates were on the table, but it was quickly resolved. The flavors and quality of the food were excellent.
The tasting menu was just perfect. Each course was lovingly crafted, and thoroughly enjoyed.
Food just ok. We expected a fabulous meal with great service. We received neither. The portions were extremely small. The steak was recommended and it was not great. We asked for water , looking at the wine menu, and it took the longest time for us to get them to take a wine order. There were only 2 other tables occupied at the time. It was a disappointing an expensive evening evening.
Creative delicious food, attentive service. More of a fine dining restaurant than casual, both in price and attention to detail. But warm pretty place, not stuffy. Not very expensive
Enjoyed the chefs tasting menu. Locally sourced and fresh. Delicious start to finish. Wonderful and attentive service
At first glance the menu felt a little intimidating, offering unusual and interesting items, however there were many ingredients that were unfamiliar to me. I took a leap of faith and ordered items in the spirit of being adventuresome. And let me tell you, i am so glad I did. We had an an absolutely exquisite meal! Their creative combinations of ingredients and flavors, stunning, food presentations and plating, excellent, lovely wait staff made for an outstanding dining experience in every way. NO exaggeration. We can’t wait to go back.
I was expecting a lot more. The menu was not very inclusive and did not have any of the interesting items I had read about. It was OK, but certainly not a 5 STAR experience.
Really inventive preparations and presentation. Don’t let the location fool you. It’s great! And very accommodating to the vegan in our party. Appreciated.
Exceptional start to finish! Our top choice for a special PV dinner!
We found that the tasting menu was not offered the night of this visit. That was a disappointment. Otherwise, everything was excellent.
Another home run!! Second visit during our stay and I can not say enough about this wonderful restaurant! The Chef’s approach to food is so innovative but at the same time honouring authentic ingredients.
So happy they had the 36 hour roster tomatoes on the menu, One of my favourites!! The soft shell crab empanadas were so good! I had the pork belly as a main and it was so deelish! My husband is still raving about his steak!
I’d be amiss if I didn’t mention the bartender, my favourite cocktail is one that is prepared with passion fruit, not too sweet and not too sour, it’s perfect! The wine list is also very approachable.
Can’t wait to come back on my next visit. If you are a foodie be sure to add this restaurant to your list!!
I can honestly say it was the most progressive and different menu I have ever enjoyed. The food was outstanding even though the terminology needed interpretation for me. I would encourage any gourmet enthusiast to enjoy an evening of wonderful flavors. Kudos to Tintoque for a unique experience and look foward to our next trip to Vallarta to once again enjoy.
It was a nice and delightful night. The dinner and presentation of the dishes were awesome!
This was our second visit to Tintoque, and it was wonderful (again!). I was a teeny bit disappointed that they were not offering the tasting menu that night, but we still had an amazing meal. Service was outstanding. I highly recommend Tintoque to any friends that are visiting the PVR area.
Everything was excellent. Disappointed with the size of the food, main dish was still like an hors d’oeuvre
Food is exotic
We had an incredible dining experience at Tintoque in New Year’s Eve. We dine at this restaurant every time we are in PV and decided we would try it for NYE this year. We are so glad we did! They had a beautiful 9 course meal, with an option for wine pairings, which we went for! We opted for cocktails to begin, the Cadillac was terrific.
Now about the food, we have fined in many restaurants on NYE and been so disappointed with the quality of the food offered up at Rudy prices and poorly served. Last night was one of the best experiences we have ever had on NYE. The food was outstanding, wine pairing excellent and the service attentive. Hat’s off to the entire Tintoque team, you did not disappoint. Every course was a culinary adventure, and truly indicative of the talented chef at the helm.
We rushed back to the beach for fireworks to ring in the New Year, and end this magical evening.
Thanks to everyone at Tintoque for making our NYE so special. Can’t wait to come back later this week to order items off the traditional menu, especially those yummy tomatoes!!
Attaching a few pics of our special dinner!
So it was New Years. Very important factor. Place was packed and loud and everyone wanted to have a great time. Again packed and loud.
Nevertheless I had to give this place 5. You could tell that the effort was absolutely there. The quality is there. The open kitchen made us all appreciate the entire staff taking their time to prepare quality dishes. Usually prefixed is made in bulk. But here, although the dishes for the entire restaurant were the same, they were still prepared individually. That’s a great sign of quality. And the food was outstanding.
With caveat, the service was slow. But I know this was because of the quality and the fact that it was a holiday and not a seat to be had. I’m anxious to go back when the crowds die down to again appreciate the devotion of the staff. Maybe not the least expensive in PV, well definitely
not, but again, New Years.
It was $700 for five. Two wine pairings in that with several additional cocktails. Not a bad price for all you get considering the day. Especially with the time and care taken.
I’ve been visiting PV for 30+ years and this is definitely one of the better finds. Especially for a special night out.
