Hicieron que mi cumpleaños fuera muy especial, la comida es deliciosa, la atención del Staff es increíble, son muy amables. Definitivamente si buscan un lugar especial esta es una gran opción. (Pidan el esquite, está de 100)
Just amazing! Great food, excellent service, and stunning location. What else could you ask for? One of the best meals I’ve had in years.
Bad menu. Flavorless and cold. And the prices don’t match the quality of the food.
Hands down, this was our best meal over our five days in PV. Had the tasting menu which was extremely creative.
Tintoque is Mexico City fine dining on the river in Vallarta. Creative, beautiful, delicious food. It has catapulted to the top of our list for special nights in Vallarta.
Wonderful experience! We were there on Valentine’s Day so it was a fixed menu, but very unusual and delicious flavors! Both the patio and the indoors is gorgeous.
Set up menu on Valentines Day was very bad, just one dish was good and tasty. A very bad experience. We used to love it when they were at La
Marina but it looks something changed with this new location.
The location is pretty and to be next to the river was something great.
Service was impeccable.
Overall it was an enjoyable evening. The service was great, the ambiance was relaxing, and the music was on point. The food, however, wasn’t the most balanced. We had the 36 hour tomato which was almost too dessert like, the prawns which had little taste, the pork belly which was really flavorful (best dish), and the octopus which could have been cooked longer and left more to be desired. I really wanted to love this place but left feeling a bit meh.
We have traveled the world and Tintoque is one of the top 10 restaurants we have eaten at in the world. It was an amazing surprise in PV. The food explodes with favor, excellent service and understated elegant atmosphere. A 10++. A must visit restaurant in PV.
Excepcional!!!
Pricey but delish
Deserves a standing ovation.
Our hats off the chef and his team
All the servers were excellent in every facet of customer service
Great food!
Increíble experiencia definitivamente un imperdible en Puerto Vallarta
Really great experience. Wonderful tasting menu with 6 courses and a wine pairing that was of great value. Nice to try varietals from Mexico—recommend opting in and adding it to your dining experience. Beautifully set on the river with a beautiful interior. Only cons are the bugs, however, they can’t change that and do have bug spray for use. I have dined all over the world and was in awe by the creativity of each dish. A must eat!
I rarely write reviews, but Tintoque deserves to be talked about! The setting, service and food were all beyond my expectations. THE best food I've ever had in PV, will definitely be back!
Consistently excellent food and top notch service. A class of its own!
Everything was fabulous. We have dined at many of the chef-owned and classy restaurants in and near Puerto Vallarta. We did the chef’s tasting menu with the wine pairings. Every course was top notch, and the service was prompt and elegant from arrival to departure. We will most certainly be back again and again.
Comida muy rica ! Todo ejelente. Lugar muy lindo. Experiencia memorable.
The service was great and the food was amazing, never disappoints! They welcomed us with a complimentary palate-cleansing drink (tuba), treated us to a mini appetizer (cuitlacoche quesadilla), we ordered salads and the 36 hour baked tomatoes (highly recommended), as well as the French hen, octopus, and truffled corn for mains. For dessert, they gifted us mini chocolate mouse confections which were a perfect close to the meal.
Creative and delicious food. Formidable setting. Do not walk there at night. Park close or take a cab.
The best restaurant in Mexico. Excellent food, service, attention.
What a wonderful gem. The tasting menu eas
Delicious and they easily accommodated one of our vegan diners. Highly recommended.
We loved it! The food and service are excellent!!!
Congratulations!
Thank you!
Overall great experience
One of the best meals I have every had, travelling all over the world. The food was exquisitely balanced and perfectly combined to create a whole evening of amazing food. Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Lovely restaurant space.
Top 5 meals ever!!!
Perfect celebratory spot!
Always superb. Chef Joel is a genius in the kitchen
Another outstanding meal. The terrace is a wonderful spot beside the river by which to enjoy an amazing meal. Service is very attentive!
Victor was impeccable with his service and finesse
We had the 5 course tasting menu which was creative, striking in culinary complexity, and gorgeously presented. It was also the only option as business has apparently been too slow to warrant a full
menu. Although the portions were smaller, as you’d expect from fine dining, we left feeling satisfied and much better for the experience. my one issue was the service - after stating 3 times in both Spanish and English that I don’t eat meat, and being verbally assured that they would modify one of the courses appropriately, they didn’t and I ended up with bacon and bone broth set in front of me. As a 30 year pescatarian/vegetation, I will usually forgive this but not here, not for these prices, and because a tasting menu absolutely requires all diners to get courses at the same time - my reworked course appeared after the others had finished theirs.
you may think I’m petty for the complaint but if a restaurant bills itself as having exemplary service, then I expect more - perhaps a brief table visit from the manager, perhaps an actual apology. We received neither.
We tipped well and enjoyed the experience but if you talk the talk, you better walk the walk and Tintoque needs to train the staff to walk better. We will be back only after the training wheels are removed.
Each course was disappointing. To the point that when the final snapper “entree” came out and it was overcooked, we finally had to say something. They were gracious and provided wine and remade fish - except this time it was raw. I literally had to discard it into a napkin and no one followed up to see how things tasted. Save your money and go to San hacienda de Angel or la iguana. Sometimes too many ingredients ends up resulting in unpleasant flavors. It was a cute restaurant at least!
Great night out. Nice tasting menu for Christmas.
Great dining experience in Emiliano Zapata! Perfect spot for a special occasion especially sitting on the terrace above the river.
Food was delicious with a nice presentation. The restaurant itself was a former house that was remodeled to perfection with a beautiful open kitchen!
I've been back a couple times in the last month and highly recommend it tourists and locals alike. Definitely one of the best if not the best restaurant in PV!
Michelle is an excellent hostess!
Only had the 6 course tasting menu on Christmas Day . The food was very tasty but the courses were so small they could have fit onto one plate and we were still hungry when we left. Each course cost the equivalent of $13.00 US so for three people it was almost $40.00 per course. I have been to many restaurants around the world and the cost for what we were served was ridiculous. We also had one glass of wine for myself and a cocktail each for my two guests and the bill was $340.00 US. The food was good but not worth nearly that much especially in Mexico. We will not be back.
Prix fixe menu for the holidays. Excellent culinary tour de force! Wine pairing was perfectly complimentary.
Birthday celebration
Todo excelente, lugar hermoso pero si comes en la terraza en época de invierno tienes que venir bien abrigado
Excellent food, ambiance and service!
Very nice greeting at the entrance by the hostess. Service staff very attentive and professional. Food was outstanding. We were a party of four and shared the appetizers - soft shelled crab, tuna sashimi, and large mesquite grilled shrimp - accompanying sauces were soo good. We then shared the short rib, pork belly, and duck breast, again, flavors were over the top. The restaurant is stunning inside as is the terrace where we sat over looking the river. It’s a bit cool later in the evening this time of year so dress appropriately.
