Third and Main is a top-of-the-line steak house and tavern in historic Aurora, IN. From in house dry aging our steaks to carrying the largest selection of wagyu beef in the Midwest, we have it all. If steak isn't your favorite we also have a fresh seafood selection weekly with a full sushi and raw bar.

Located in one of the oldest operating taverns in Indiana, Third and Main carries on the historic traditions with an upscale menu in a casual atmosphere. Just a short drive from Cincinnati along the Ohio River, this family-owned and operated restaurant is a great place to get away from the bustle of city living.

Been here many times and genuinely love it. This time though I have to give a shout out to our server. I dont remember his name but he had a flower shirt on and was serving our table by the stage outside . We ordered two rum punches and a jack and diet. It took 20 minutes to get them. That was ok cause they were busy. We drank them and they sat empty for another 20 minutes. He finally came back and asked if we wanted to order. We ordered appetizers and more drinks. 20 minutes passed and we just went to the bar to order more. The appetizers took 30 more minutes and he forgot our drinks that we ordered 50 minutes prior. By this point we were all kinda aggravated so we didn’t even order an entree because it would have taken at least another hour. Then we didn’t see him again for another 45 minutes so we just got up two more times to get more drinks from the bar. Once we were ready to leave he wasn’t anywhere to be found. Finally saw him and tried to wave him down and he just looked at us and walked by. I had to tell someone for him to come to our table. He missed out on at least $125 tip because there were 5 of us. Good food, great vibes but whoever the server was needs a new line of work because hospitality was not on his mind.

Had a 7pm reservation. Showed up at 7pm sharp. Waited a couple mins to be seated. We were seated by the restroom near several tables (one of which was still waiting on guests to arrive). Hostess filled our water glasses and let us know a server would be with us. We watched the server help every table around us, take drink orders from those tables, deliver drinks, then take food orders (all while accommodating other guests as they arrived at the previously mentioned table). THIRTY MINUTES went by before I visited the hostess stand asking if a server could be sent to our table. The server from the room was standing on his phone. The hostess seemed unphased that we hadn't been helped and said she'd send someone to help us. I sat back down and we continued to wait 5 more minutes before getting up to leave. Both my wife and I are in the service industry and I'd consider us VERY patient when it comes to dining at a restaurant. This experience was awful and our favorite date night restaurant has been ruined for us.

The food is superb. I never have had better. The service also was outstanding, just the right amount of attention. This is a dining experience usually found only in big cities - but without the traffic or hastle.

Everything about this place was great. The service, the food, and the atmosphere. Had a great wine, bourbon, and beer list. The oysters and crouching tiger roll were really good. As was the crab and corn chowder. I had the dry aged ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. My friend had the Australian Wagyu that melted in your mouth like butter. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten. If I am in the area again, I will definitely be back.

The salmon and mashed potatos were amazing! Best we have ever had! However, if you want half priced apps before 6, you can't rely on the waiter/waitress to come back in time to order before the cut off.

2nd time here. Had the mussels appetizer and the bread service. Both incredible. Ordered the 12 ounce Australian Wagyu ribeye. Cooked perfectly and very delicious. All other members of our group loved their food. My only complaint is they have an extensive bourbon list and the first 2 I ordered were out of stock. Would like to see them update their bourbon list to reflect what they have on hand. Birthday dinner so we had the lemon ricotta donuts for dessert. Fantastic. It takes us an hour to get to the restaurant but it is well worth it for us.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Third and Main due to their consistently excellent food and service. The Australian Wagyu steak was incredibly tender and flavorful. We also enjoyed a shrimp cocktail, which was delicious and accompanied by a tasty cocktail sauce. We started our meal inside and then moved outside to enjoy our our delicious drinks (Thirds Redemption and a Manhattan) Enjoyed the setting and music. A perfect date night!

Amazing experience! We love coming here and decided to bring my parents to see why we love it so much. Our server was Katya (aka Kat) and she was phenomenal. For our drinks, appetizer, mains and desserts everything was wonderful. My mom called me this morning to tell me thank you for showing us this place.
