This is my second time visiting. I must say the first time I came it was a weekday and the food and service was spot on.
This time the food was good but the service was horrendous. The gentleman was very rude.
Not sure I want to go again after being treated like that.
Delicious food and drinks with an amazing interior decor!
We made a reservation for a special occasion, the food arrived very late, it took a long time for them to come in and take our order and the staff were rude. The desert was also surprisingly greasy. Poor service .
Drinks came quickly.
Food was of poor quality.
20 minutes for our order to be taken.
Mix up with our food multiple times, receiving other tables orders and then it was realised that our order was forgotten and had to be made immediately so that when the food came it was too hot to eat straight away.
Food arrived almost an hour later.
Food was mediocre at best.
When the bill was requested, we were given another tables bill before getting our correct bill. Waiter forget to get me a takeaway box. Very poor service female manager at the till counting money and receipts seemed very unfriendly.
My experience of the cafe was OK. Starting with the seats - I did not like the how low the tables were because if you sat in the middle how will you eat the plated food they give you and thats what they gave us - a low table and then I had to ask them for a different table where it was high so we could eat the food well. We sat in the middle with 2 tables together - me and my friends did together. The food is very overpriced no matter what you buy and I am shocked they charge £5 for a glass of water! The food I ordered wasn't that good at all and I expected more but it didn't taste good at all.
The service was good because they came over to our table a couple of times asking are we ready to order etc etc and they were patient with that but that food we ate wasn't good. The turkish eggs had pomegranates in them and I would never come here again to be honest.
The food was amazing, interior was beautiful and staff were really polite- they delivered a good quality service.
The milkshakes were my favourite, probably one of the best milkshakes I’ve tasted.
Food was also good only thing was my shawarma wrap was too wet
Absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, very well seasoned and tasty. The french toast was amazing and was very well priced for what it was. Nice portion size aswell. Would deffo recommend and will definitely be back !
Food was amazing
Service was great
Just a very odd experience all-round. My friend and I arrived to a virtually empty restaurant (bar two small groups of diners) during the evening, and were ignored by two separate members of staff upon our arrival. We then had to beckon one of the waiters who sat us down without giving us a menu. The menu itself was inscrutable. The writing was so tiny that my friend had to get her glasses out to read it. The food itself was uninspiring, and consisted of very average all-day breakfast/brunch options, and zero appropriate options for an evening meal. After much deliberation, I went for the Turkish eggs while my friend opted for the shawarma wrap. Both meals were very lacklustre. Mine was two poached eggs floating in a sea of yoghurt, with some pomegranate seeds chucked in for good measure. My friend's wrap had very little filling inside and was bedded on a massive heap of greasy French fries and measly side salad. The waitress didn't even give us cutlery so I had to fish around an empty table to steal some knifes and forks. Unbelievably, our meal came to £50, which included a couple of coffees. Unsurpringly, we waited around ages for a waiter to come to our table once we'd finished, in a still virtually empty restaurant, so I had to go up to the counter and request the bill. The one redeeming feature of this restaurant is the stunning decor, but aside from that, I really wouldn't waste your time going there for an evening meal. Considering the location and extortionate prices, I would have expected a much higher level of food and customer service.
We had a lovely brunch with the grandparents and children. Gorgeous Interior, delicious food and very welcoming waiters
I enjoyed visiting l’opera cafe. The food was amazing (we ordered shawarmas) which filled us up with no leftovers (soooo yummy). I fell in love with the charcoal latte !! The staff were super friendly and the whole cafe/restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. As an interior designer my only regret was not taking enough pictures of the space !!
Absolutely beautiful place! The food is good and the staff are really friendly, even though they are only a few of them, they still managed to serve us promptly. Though the pricing is a bit steep.
Amazing place to go to
Great for picture
The food is 7/10
The toilet is clean
I would love to visit again
Service was good, friendly staff, the cheese burger was really nice and so was the elderflower lemonade. The chicken wrap was soggy and tasteless and the virgin mocktail wasn’t nice. Would still recommend for the burger and vibe. Everything is really pretty.
Good was ok, would come back again as service & ambience was nice.
The food is very tasty & well presented but unfortunately the day I visited the staff seemed very unenthusiastic, extremely slow and not particularly friendly. Everyone was pleasant but there just wasn’t that great kind of customer service where you leave feeling amazing about your experience. This made the atmosphere feel quite tense and not very welcoming.
Considering the hype of this place in the internet I had high expectations. The food was stone cold and by the time I received it we were starving so ate it anyway and to try and get hold of a member of staff seemed hard. Wouldn’t return.
Good food terrible service, not worth service charge
Lovely food and great location/decor
The atmosphere and decor created a chilled oasis in the business of the city.
All of the menu options were mouth watering and it was difficult to make a choice. My breakfast and chai latte was delicious. I'd highly recommend it and hope to go back soon.
Beautiful location and great service. Friendly staff members
Amazing food, great service. Will definitely be back again!
It’s a beautiful place to sit and eat. The staff were friendly but complained about being short of staff and warned us that the food might take a while. Food was nice apart from the burger that was very burnt I wouldn’t order that again. If I came here again I would definitely order the eggs again they were yum. The pistachio cake was amazing and portion was big. Shame about the burger maybe other things on the menu would be better.
The food was good but not all that was hyped up to be, service was a bit lacking as the server's weren't around most of the time, nevertheless a nice experience and welcome place to try atleast once
Loved the experience. Beautiful place with delicious food. I will definitely be visiting again and would recommend it to other. I loved the Shakshuka, that was my favourite.
Looks great and the food is good enough however I felt my expectations weren't met and it was a bit of a let down. The staff are half asleep, the same waiter had to take our order 3 times before remembering. Also, be warned! If you have allergies, their menu is not very flexible or adaptable and they lack 'good' allergen information. Also, no vegan friendly options available- not even one.
Very very rude staff unwelcoming service was absolutely terrible and very overpriced wouldn’t recommend going here.
Turkish Eggs and Lotus French Toast were delicious. The service was incredibly slow in terms of taking our order . However once food arrived they were more attentive.
Great interior and great food, we were seated quickly.
Lovely venue, nice options for brunch and speciality coffee also the salted caramel cheesecake was divine. Everything tasted great. Only issue I had was having to ask for tap water x3 times which was irritating and only recieving it on a 4th attempt at the end of the meal.
Food was amazing. Service was brilliant. Really enjoyed our visit!
Service very slow waiter not asking how food was burnt french toast and stack burger mojitos watery and bill over £50 for 2 desserts and a burger with cheap fries and watery drinks what a rip off AVOID AVOID AVOID
The restaurant looks very nice but I think it may be suited more for mocktails, breakfasts and desserts rather than dinner which is what we went for. The service was extremely slow and the karak chai we had was definitely not Karak chai so would not recommend that but the staff are very polite.
Lovely ambience and decor. Food was amazing, portions could have been slightly bigger for the price
Whilst this place is very pretty and Instagram worthy, the service is extremely slow. We waited over 5 minutes just for someone to notice us and wait to be seated but that was only because I had edged forward towards the till! The restaurant was not busy, yet service was slow. When our food eventually came, it was cold and looked a lot smaller. It tasted nice but needed some seasoning. When I asked the waitress for some salt and pepper I thought she would be back ASAP but that took AGES and I started to eat my already cold food in the hopes she would return quickly. I had finished one whole muffin before my sister had to go and ask where the salt was? This is not the service you expect when a restaurant is completely empty. The food was extremely over priced and I know we were in the heart of central London but £10 for a large bottle of water is ridiculous? I spent in excess of £70 for 4 inc. service charge, this is alot in my opinion! Fair to say I won’t be returning which is sad as I had high hopes.
The decor and desserts were the best thing about our visit. The major let down was the lack of service,
It was slow and unbothered from possible being understaffed? Although food was nice it came cold and we waited atleast 40 mins for it, it wasn’t even busy! Other than this I think it was a lovely place for date or with friends. Would go again for the desserts BUT service needs to improve!
Service was slow and the crepes were extremely hard not soft at all. Value isn’t worth it but staff are polite.
Every table is a good table! Very pretty inside and food was beautifully presented and tasted great!
Excellent service, brunch was fantastic! Had the chicken shawarma and English muffin with poached egg, avacado and spinach.
The lotus French bread was the best I’ve had, the bread so fresh like cake👌
