I’m going to save all of my complaints because maybe they just had an off night - but I have never been given a corkscrew at a restaurant and told to open my own bottles of wine.

Very good and interesting food. The service was good although the hostess seemed new. We will definitely go back.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary this past Monday. The staff took extra steps to make our night special. They were attentive to us all night. I ordered oysters, they were very fresh and well plated. I was hoping they would have been a bit cheaper for “happy hour” but none the less they were excellent. Our food was well prepared, steak was correct doneness. The chicken piccata could have had a bit more crispy breading. We followed it up with Maker’s cherry crème brûlée. I don’t know if it was just a Monday and they aren’t typically that busy. But we were the only ones dining. I would definitely like to return in the future.

Sweet Spot is a lovely west side, fine dining establishment. The menu is varied and the wine and liquor selection is good. The staff works together and a manager is on site checking in with diners.

I recommend the steak frittes for an appetizer and the trio tournedos for main course. I would pass on the crabcake. Everyone at the table was happy with their food!

Overall this was a wonderful experience. When we sat down, we noticed a table tent with happy birthday written on it. That was a nice opening touch. We celebrated with a very tasteful dinner and wine. The service was fantastic. The only disappointment, maybe disappoint is the wrong word, was the plate they brought out at the end of the dinner. The plate was huge and happy birthday was written in chocolate syrup with a small drop of whip cream in each corner topped with a blueberry and a strawberry on one corner. For the cost of this meal, this could have been a little more. Would I recommend it, absolutely!!

Wife and I were celebrating 21yrs anniversary. Our table ambiance was outstanding complete with candles, red rose petals, and a hand-painted sign that said, “Happy Anniversary from The Sweet Spot.” To top it off the Motown sounds were playing. Our waiter made us feel special!

The Sweet Spot is a hidden surprise. I never would have found it if it was not recommended by a friend. The impressive menu and delicious food are what make it worth the visit. The location is between sub par restaurants and businesses, and it doesn’t look like much from the outside. The atmosphere is nice, but could be better. The music was obnoxious - not my taste - and loud. Service was good.

We went for the brunch buffet on Sunday and the food was less than desirable. The eggs were wet and goopy, the gravy was dismal, and the bacon was floppy. The buffet did not have much to choose from unless you’re ok with copious amounts of burnt potatoes and burnt French toast. I wouldn’t trust the seafood so I didn’t touch it. We ordered one drink each and it took quite a bit for the waiter to bring them to us (we had already made it halfway through our first plate of food before receiving the drinks at our table). With the cost of the buffet (2x adult), one Bloody Mary, one mimosa, and tip, the total was roughly $94. Not worth the money in my opinion. Will not be going back for the buffet.
