Celebrating its 15th year, The Swedes Bar and Bistro opened its doors in 2009. Since then, it's become a go-to spot for people from all over the world. We are a 2024 TripAdvisor Travelers choice award winner, given to the top 10% of restaurants based on guest experience.

Great food, friendly service, and a fun vibe at the corner of Olas Altas and Calle Pulpito just one block from the famous Los Muertos beach make The Swedes a must-visit on any trip to Puerto Vallarta. Many people head straight to The Swedes after a long day of travel; or as the farewell meal before heading home.

    The Swedes was great, as always. Good food and service. It’s frustrating that they seem to randomly only take cash. Every few days they just don’t take card. Which seems a bit too often for it to be random. That’s my only complaint.

    Swede’s is our go to pre-show dinner location. The food is solid, the drinks are good and the service is great. It’s only 2 minutes yo the Palm Cabaret!

    Food is pretty good, ex soups which were salty and bland. Service is inattentive and some times poor. Perhaps a language barrier. Setting is convenient with a nice street view.

    Absolutely a great experience. The staff, food, and ambiance were outstanding. The third time eating there, the Swedes never disappoints.
