The Statler is an American Bistro and Cocktail Bar nestled into the heart of Downtown Detroit's Entertainment District. The Statler offers classic cuisine with a slightly modern twist, catering to both adventurous and traditional diners alike. Our menu was created by Certified Master Chef Daniel Scannell, modeling a French Bistro. The Statler delivers a world class Gastro and Mixology Bar and Formal Dining Room Experiences. Enjoy a Smoked Old Fashioned with Suntory Japanese Whiskey and Crispy Calamari, and Friends during Happy Hour, then a Bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon with Braised Short Ribs and Family in our Dining Room. The Statler is within walking distance from venues like Comerica Park, Ford Field, Detroit Opera House, Fox Theatre, Little Caesar’s Arena, and more. The Statler offers FREE PARKING for 3 hours while dining in the restaurant which is located underground and inside (call for instructions or ask the Valet attendant for directions).

    We had a wonderful experience. When our party grew from 4 to 6 at the last minute, the restaurant staff found a solution quickly and were extremely understanding. The food was outstanding, as was the service. We will definitely return any time we are in Detroit. If you are looking for a great place to have a business meal, date night, birthday, or anything else, this is it.

    Staff took very good care of our party, checking in regularly and making sure our needs were met. The main course was delicious as well as the appetizers. The tomato soup was on point, and the dessert presentation was excellent. Looking forward to my next dining experience here.

    Drinks were slow. Bottle of wine sat on table without ice for a long time. “Rare” was closer to medium and quality was just okay for the price

    Great meal of short ribs and scallops. Loved the portions and how it was presented as well as the taste. The chocolate cake dessert was enough for three so maybe they need to work on those portions. Service was impeccable.

    The whole experience was wonderful. We were asked if we were headed to an event in the area as soon as we walked in and then the waiter asked again to ensure we would be done in time. It was really nice of them to ensure we did not miss our evening plans. The food was wonderful and the staff were very friendly.

    Menu was very limited Food was horrible and not as described on menu $26 for a plain hamburger grilled outside on patio. Ran out of 3 tap beers shown on menu so I asked for a Stella, they were out of that too and gave me a two hearted and said it was a Stella. Will not be returning

    The restaurant was out of the specials they offered and out of bread. Food service was very slow. The bartender made drinks that were less than desirable. I mentioned the issues when he came to the table.

    We had an admittedly large group, but despite notifying the restaurant that we were heading to a show, waited 90 minutes before food was served, and barely had time to eat. Several items that we ordered were not available (they'd run out). The food, despite the short time allotted to eat it, was delicious, however.
