Established in 1984, the Signal Restaurant has drawn praise from critics, guests and multiple award judges, as well as people from the surrounding area. Its menu focuses on seasonal local Boyne Valley produce and ingredients from other parts of Ireland, cooked with fine dining flair, combined with an extensive wine offering carefully selected by our in-house sommelier.

    The evening begins at 6.30pm with a pre-dinner cocktail or glass of our Prosecco Frizzante. At 7pm you will be brought in to the Signal Restaurant for the seven courses which are carefully curated and prepared by our head chef. It’s an opportunity for us to share our passion for good food and fine wine – and to show off our pride in the locality. Join us as your tastebuds wander from flavour to flavour and from wine to wine, experiencing combinations that may surprise you – but will not disappoint.

    Excellent service from start to finish very friendly staff and attention to detail recommendations from waiters was very helpful. Overall it couldn’t be better 👍

    Wonderful friendly welcome from all the staff. Lovely atmosphere in the dining room very pleasant staff cheerfully and helpful. A big compliment to the manager Alex and Tabas so helpfull and attentive. Food and presentation excellent the Roast Potatoes the best I've ever tasted in a hotel. Excellent experience we will be back.

    We've eaten in the platform bar many times and have never been disappointed. The food is always excellent, tasty and good value. The staff are always so friendly and the ambience is beautiful. Always happy to recommend and return.

    My wife and I (in our mid 50s) booked the restaurant to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We arrived ahead of schedule and were accomodated in a lovely friendly manner in the bar. All the staff have been well tutored in customer care and they each make it a very comfortable, pleasant experience. It was our first time at The Station House but we have already spoken of returning. The food was exceptional and the care from the attending lady was excellent and attentive while affording us the time as a couple to interact and hold a proper conversation. Truly lovely experiance and we’ll be back.

    We would visit quite frequently and always get a good meal.In our case it is normally on a Sunday for a late lunch.The menu suits us all.

    A lovely evening at the station house Signal restaurant, staff and ambience were lovely, 3 of us were vegetarian and I am giving it 3 stars for the quality of the vegetarian food. It was bland and boring beetroot Wellington was supposed to come with feta cheese and mushrooms, all I could see was beetroot and no flavor the Wellington was dry. The vegetables and potatoes shared by the table were lovely as were the 2 main courses that were fish and meat. I have been many times to this restaurant and the quality of the vegetarian food always lets it down which is a problem for us as my family are mainly vegetarian. Just a little thought some flavor and options other than risotto and vegetable curry would be nice. Staff as always were lovely and it’s a beautiful peaceful setting it wouldn’t take much to make this 5 stars for everyone

    Food was excellent but table service has room for improvement. When paying the bill our change was not returned to our table.
