Everything was absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing.
Wife was very disappointed in the way her and her sister were treated. After being rushed by the waiter one too many times, the got up and left.
Amazing place, scenery, service and food impeccable!
we ordered the seafood tower ( $ 100 ) . Altho the oysters were very good they did have bits of shell in most. The crab legs were stringy ..........overall the dish was disappointing . The 3 clam bellies were nothing special either , especially for $ 16 . The stuffies were good . Ambience was fine but wouldnt rush back .
Lobster Roll was average at best. Basically served on a buttered top cut hot dog bun.
Clam “chowder” was soupy and lacked some of the basics.
Average to below average service.
Fantastic location and overall great restaurant setup. Food was underwhelming at best.
Our waiter was terrific. Friendly and fun but not intrusive.
We like the Salt Line ...... food is good but not as good as it has been. Service ALWAYS superb.
Great oysters and probably one of the best lobster rolls I have ever had.
Never disappoints! Service, food, and ambiance are always just what I expect it to be!
Awesome service, awesome food. They accommodated my S***head friends which is impressive!
Went for a 50th birthday and they made it amazing. Found out about the restaurant from coaching in the FlagStar Football league and it was everything it was hyped up to be and more. I will definitely be back.
Thank you for choosing The Salt Line for your celebration and sooo glad you all had a good time. Look forward to you joining us again soon!
Great service and amazing drinks, Javier was awesome
Our server took FOREVER and attended to other tables 3 times before checking on us.
Food was great and our service was terrific!
Terrible. Not good service and serving alcohol to clearly drunk patrons
Amazing location.. found hair in food .. manager was very apologetic.. staff should wear hair nets.. it’s still COVID-19, considering the open door that cause the restaurant to be extremely uncomfortable. I shall return on a 90 degree day.
Great food , cool setting . Fun place to watch the Nats game when you can’t get in the stadium!
Excellent oysters and an all-around delicious meal in a lovely setting. Service was great! Perfect spot to go before a Nats game
Cheryl is the best person on the planet
Good food and friendly staff. We had a great time!
We were late due to parking (our mistake for coming during a game!) but the greeter was understanding and still was able to seat us.
Food and service was excellent like usual. Definitely one of my favorite places in the area.
Crab dip was really good. I especially liked the airy crackers/vessel they provide to devour this delicious dip. They’re sprinkled with a hint of lime that hits just right.
Salt line was great and he service was even better.
Great seafood-and I am from New England!
The wait staff was chill and super friendly.
Dinner before soccer game. Repeat customer. The perfect venue for a meal before or after a soccer or baseball game. With reduced capacity at sporting events, the atmosphere remains lively and enjoyable and a little less frenetic. In either case, the dining experience at Salt Line is always a pleasure.
Great service and enjoyable views
Note: says open at noon but game days they open 2 hours before. Got there and got two seats at the bar! Great distancing. Had the oysters! Terrific! Had the roast beef on onion roll. OMG!!! Get that. Fries were delish as well.
Love this place! The smashburger (had previous visit) was off the hook!!!
We sat outside and the Salt Line provided great service and food while still making us feel safe. Definitely recommend.
Food was just okay - part of my fish was raw, and my oysters came out after the meal. The dessert was outstanding, and service was fantastic!
Just got drinks
Loved The Salt Line! Our outdoor dining was an excellent experience was enhanced by heaters the waterview and all the wonderful dogs being walked that evening.
The oyster selection has nice diversity, and our selections were wonderfully FRESH.
Our entrees were Very good oil poached black bass was superb, and the veal bolognese was gobbled up by my husband.
Though my husband did eat every bite, I was underwhelmed by the dessert milkshake with too much of, well everything.
Fabulous meal and great service! Wonderful place to celebrate a birthday. Great views of the river too!
Waitress Amy was incredibly kind and service was always prompt. Felt welcomed from the start and taken care of to the end.
I had such a fabulous experience for my birthday 💖 The food and the service were amazing, and the oysters are par none. Thanks for such an amazing time Xx
Pre-game dinner at Salt Line. Service very good. My main course was not worth the high price (swordfish) and was a small portion with minimal sides. The dessert was excellent. Nice view and nice vibe.
Amazing great food and drinks
Very nice place, great food, excellent service, courteous staff, we really enjoyed the entire time.
This was my third and last time trying to make this restaurant a worthy dining experience. First, the host took too long to check people in. He needed some help. The server seemed overworked too. He asked me to repeat our drink order (it was only two of us) at least three times after leaving the table supposedly to place the order. On top of that, he didn't know what type of vodka they offered other than Tito's. We asked for Grey Goose, nope. We asked for Kettle One, nope. My dinner partner finally said, "just tell me what you DO have". The only thing he could think of was Tito's. Once that ordeal was over and we thought we'd get our drinks, the bartender came over to verify the order! All I wanted was a glass of ginger ale and I got seltzer water. I was looking forward to some raw oysters. Of the seven or eight varieties offered, only three were available. My partner was looking forward to the fried Ipswich clams. One bite revealed an oversalted batter. He had to send them back and the server informed us that he had to ask the manager if he could take them off our bill. I don't care who you ask, that's not our problem. We're not paying for food that's not edible. Next, we ordered our entrees, baked cod for him and seared scallops for me. Unlike the clams, both dishes were absolutely tasteless. Not a drop of seasoning. My partner even suspected that his fish had been frozen. We picked around the dishes but they were not enjoyable at all. Finally, because we were still hungry, we asked for the dessert menu. It included some weird choices that were no more appealing than our entrees. By this time, we just wanted the check so we could go get something to eat! We ended up paying almost $150 (including tip) for that crap. I'm done with this restaurant. Next!
Great place for a casual and fun afternoon bite, drink and date. With the reality of moving to D.C. soon, we couldn’t have enjoyed a better atmosphere and welcoming level of hospitality. And afterwards, the joy of having such a cool walk with a view. Thanks again for a great time. Alex & Cindy
