Our pub & restaurant aims to showcase the best of Herefordshire food and drink in a unique and environmentally conscious way, supplemented by our own extensive kitchen gardens and foraged from the land surrounding our inn.

    An excellent meal in friendly and comfortable surroundings. My wife’s beetroot soup was the best she has tasted, and the mains of duck breast, imaginatively served with roast beetroot and elderberry jelly, and sea bass on a bed of cauliflower and hazelnut with parsley sauce, were really accomplished cooking. The quiche savarin, which we shared, was equally good. Highly recommended.

    We went to The Riverside for a birthday celebration. George was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. The food was so good, actually it was outstanding. We have booked to go there for our wedding anniversary as we know we will get the same exceptional service again.

    Excellent meal and service. Our meal was in the bar area as we had our small dog with us. Arrived on a cold wet evening and invited to have pre dinner drinks in front of an open fire. The food served was perfect. Duo of beef was delicious, and the sea bass perfectly cooked. All in all it was a lovely evening and we will return. Wonderful service from start to finish.

    Our meal out was extremely enjoyable The venue was fire lit and cosy Staff were helpful and friendly We felt well catered for but not hounded Our meal was attractively served and appetising We feasted and enjoyed the ambience and company and felt well hosted The Riverside offers a fantastic food experience and a lovely venue in which to relax and dine

    We have now been to The Riverside 5 times. We don’t live in the area but every time we come to the area we make sure we book to eat here. Dog friendly & always accommodate our Cairn Terrier with a pat on the head & a bowl of water The food, service & ambience is always first class & today didn’t disappoint We would highly recommend & will definitely return

    Food absolutely wonderful - beef cooked rare to perfection; melt in the mouth and the chicken dish was deliciously moist. Full marks to the chef for ingenuity , presentation and taste.

    The pub is cosy and relaxing. The food was delicious and fresh with interesting combinations which worked extremely well. Service was excellent. We will be bringing friends next time.

    The Riverside is outstanding on every level, food, staff, ambience, they always try to accommodate your every need, we tried to book half an hour earlier on a busy Saturday evening, but Open Table app could only give us the later booking. We contacted the restaurant direct and they managed to manoeuvre things to have the table ready for our earlier table request. This is a busy local restaurant, one we are very fortunate to have on our door step, but a place I know people will travel the distance to eat there.
