Good food, wine and music! What more can you ask for.
The ambiance was nice and relaxing. The young man singing made it fun. The service and the food need improvement. My sister and I ordered the burger. My meat came very well done and burnt. I ordered it medium. My sisters burger came with tomato slices and the menu does not describe the burger with tomatoes (she can’t eat tomatoes due to health issues). Then we asked if we can order something else. We ordered the chicken. My mom, two of my sisters, and I had the chicken. All of us noticed that it was very salty. One of my sisters did not finish her plate due to the tremendous amount of salt in it. We didn’t say anything because it took almost 45 minutes to make our chicken after our burgers came out wrong and we were just very disappointed.
The setting is nice, Food and service great, but they had a band playing which was way too loud for the space and thus spoiling the atmosphere for enjoying the wine ( which was also good!)
Everything was excellent!!
Good, but next time I'll make sure to buy two bottles of wine separately from the lunch bill, we had a party of 6 and the tip was automatically added to the whole bill all together.
Wonderful way to spend the New Years! Thank you
The food was excellent. Our waiter was wonderful. He adjusted the fans and put on the heat when we mentioned we were chilly. Everyone was very accommodating and so nice. Loved it!!
The food was excellent. A step above the food served in most neighboring wineries. The grounds are nice with a separate area for wine tasting and the restaurant.
The restaurant tables outside are not looking over a field of vineyards but rather to an area of dirt being remodeled. That was the only disappointment.
Service was slow and it was not a busy afternoon.
There was live music playing for lunch. They were able to accommodate our group of 6 adults and 3 kids and have a kids menu. The Cab Franc is very good and all of the food we ate was delicious.
A great place to catch up with old friends over good food and drink
Friendly staff, quick service, delicious food, relaxing ambiance, will definitely visit again. Love my Cioppino !! Delightfully Delicious !!
Service was poor. We were seated right on the misters. I pointed out that this will get us wet. She told us that it was the only table available although there were several tables that were empty for the rest of the time we were there. It took another 30 minutes for somebody to take our order. The food was mediocre at best. The salad was salty. I don’t know how you can manage to make salads salty but it was. This was my second attempt of coming to this restaurant. Two months ago when I made a reservation for four, when we showed up they told us that the restaurant was closed for the day because of some problem in the kitchen, but nobody notified us.
Terribly slow service and food was mediocre.
Upon checking in, being seated was prompt and quick. The staff was courteous. As for the menu, it wasn’t big, but had a nice selection. The food was delicious with pleasant, live music from a guitarist while dining.
I always love Mount Palomar! Their food is delicious and the service is wonderful.
Music was fun to listen to, but it was definitely to loud. We had to yell to talk to each other. The food took a little long to come out, but they were busy. Other then that great food and wine, staff was friendly.
Finally, a real menu😊. I have patiently awaited the return of a menu that would allow me to invite folks to drink and dine.
I ordered the New York steak and found it to be tender and tasty. I’m looking forward to trying both the Salmon and Sea Bass. The strawberry gelato was an excellent addition to my meal.
This is my 20th year as a member because of the atmosphere and the best reds in the valley. Now I won’t have to go to another winery that had a better menu, but poor wine.
Never been and pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the grounds were. Food and service was excellent and the live music was entertaining.
Food was cold on my sandwich. Limited menu
Great food and service, and a killer view. Always a great time here
The food was good, not extraordinary. Beautiful place but currently currently the vineyard is under construction I recommend visiting
We had a great time! They only thing is that my guest wanted milk/cream for her coffee and we were told there wasn’t any until we pressed and our server had to go to the kitchen to find cream. FYi - when you serve coffee always offer cream and sugar. We did get cream but the flavored kind. They said that’s all they had until we said “ we can’t believe you don’t have any milk or cream”. Other than that we had an amazing experience. It was a beautiful day as well!😊
Great food and wine. Most of all service was outstanding. Our server Brock was helpful in making selections and has a great personality. Ambiance was amazing
The beet salad and the creme brulee was delicious. Just the right size! Prices are reasonable for a winery. Friendly staff. You can have lunch or dinner and have a wine tasting! Great petite sirah and the port style wine.
Restaurant closes at 6pm.
Food and atmosphere is beautiful, but wish we had known about the early closing before going.
Best time ever! The food, wine, and service was great. The music topped off the entire experience. Thank you!
Perfect lunch with friends on a Sunday afternoon. Live music. Great food. Perfect weather.
Weekday lunch with my hubby and my son. Food service and location was excellent.
There was no service. We waited 20 minutes at our table and no one approached us to offer water or take our orders. The restaurant was not busy. About 20% full with plenty of staff. We got up and walked out. We went down the street to Avensole where we had a tasty meal and superb service.
This was my first visit to this winery and I was nicely surprised. The grounds are impressive, organised and very clean. There was a live music which was also very good and created perfect atmosphere and made the lunch that much more enjoyable. The food was tasty and fresh. We accompanied the food with bottle of rose the was good and refreshing. I will be coming back.
This was a very disappointing experience. Our server, "Alec Baldwin", was awesome, however, some of the other tables in my area were not treated as well. The two tables next to me were told that their two hours were up & that they needed to leave the tables for other guests. They still had wine in their bottle & food on their plates. Once they left (& sat in a different area of the winery), their table was not cleared for almost an hour & nobody was EVER seated there (I was there until closing). I understand the need/want to "turn tables", but to kick people out (that were eating & drinking!) when there was nobody waiting to be seated is ridiculous. That is horrible customer service to people that have been loyal to the winery. The policy was not universally enforced, making some guests feeling discriminated against. Every time we go to Mount Palomar, things/policies are changed - and not for the better.
We went to this winery to enjoy the time with friends and listen to great music but were told we had to order food (not just drinks) every 2 hours or we would have to be moved to another part of the winery. The musician was playing for 3 hours and we planned to stay while he played. But this rule put a damper on our time there. They would not take separate orders for those at the table but were only allowed 2 checks per table. They ran out of paper menus and those at each table had to share. Sitting in different areas of the winery changed what you could order on the menu. I had been to this winery before and had a great time and would have given it 5 stars but this time was very disappointing. The only part that deserves 5 stars is the waiter, Tristan. He was the best part of our dining experience. He was kind, quick, accommodating and friendly!
First time in Temecula valley and tried this restaurant based on its good reviews. The Chardonnay we had was very good for around $30 bucks. Had the Sea Bass fish special which was a little over cooked and bland.
Mussels and calamari appetizer were good. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor patio vibe, they had live music on a Sunday afternoon.
The food was horrible and extremely pricy. A turkey wrap was $20, it was processed turkey, the tortilla was stale, and just overall not with it. We would not go back.
Pretty cool place to go drink some wine!
We had a reservation at 5 and on our way to Mt. Paloma we had hit a bit of unexpected accident traffic. We realized we were going to be a few minutes late due to traffic. We called Mt. Palomar to inform them of the delay. And they had told us that if we didn’t make it by our reservation time at 5oclock, they would have to give our table away and wouldn’t be able to seat us because last seat time was at 5.
I am very disappointed that I wasn’t able to enjoy a birthday celebration at Mt. Palomar. We couldn’t control the traffic or help the fact that we would be a few minutes late. We had the courtesy to notify them but they didn’t have the courtesy to hold our table for a few extra minutes.
My first trip to this place was on April 3,2021 and I wasn’t that impressed, but thought it could have been an off day for them. So we made reservations for August 1 at 11:30 for lunch. We were shocked to see the restaurant door locked, dark, no one in sight at the restaurant . We asked the bartender what is going on with the restaurant and he said they closed it that day due to “kitchen issues” whatever that meant. He asked if I got a phone call or email and I said no. Obviously I wasn’t notified since I showed up expecting to eat! There wasn’t even a sign or notice on the door letting people know it was closed. With it being g a Sunday afternoon, it’s tough to get a place to eat at the last minute.
But thanks to Leonesse they saved the day and made room for us! And now we are going to become club members at Leonesse for stepping up.
Another great time at Mount Palomar. Music (sax player) is great. Lots of dancing. Too bad the sax player is only there once next month & then done. Not sure I'll be back if he's not there - he creates a great energy.
