Weekday lunch with my hubby and my son. Food service and location was excellent.
There was no service. We waited 20 minutes at our table and no one approached us to offer water or take our orders. The restaurant was not busy. About 20% full with plenty of staff. We got up and walked out. We went down the street to Avensole where we had a tasty meal and superb service.
This was my first visit to this winery and I was nicely surprised. The grounds are impressive, organised and very clean. There was a live music which was also very good and created perfect atmosphere and made the lunch that much more enjoyable. The food was tasty and fresh. We accompanied the food with bottle of rose the was good and refreshing. I will be coming back.
This was a very disappointing experience. Our server, "Alec Baldwin", was awesome, however, some of the other tables in my area were not treated as well. The two tables next to me were told that their two hours were up & that they needed to leave the tables for other guests. They still had wine in their bottle & food on their plates. Once they left (& sat in a different area of the winery), their table was not cleared for almost an hour & nobody was EVER seated there (I was there until closing). I understand the need/want to "turn tables", but to kick people out (that were eating & drinking!) when there was nobody waiting to be seated is ridiculous. That is horrible customer service to people that have been loyal to the winery. The policy was not universally enforced, making some guests feeling discriminated against. Every time we go to Mount Palomar, things/policies are changed - and not for the better.
We went to this winery to enjoy the time with friends and listen to great music but were told we had to order food (not just drinks) every 2 hours or we would have to be moved to another part of the winery. The musician was playing for 3 hours and we planned to stay while he played. But this rule put a damper on our time there. They would not take separate orders for those at the table but were only allowed 2 checks per table. They ran out of paper menus and those at each table had to share. Sitting in different areas of the winery changed what you could order on the menu. I had been to this winery before and had a great time and would have given it 5 stars but this time was very disappointing. The only part that deserves 5 stars is the waiter, Tristan. He was the best part of our dining experience. He was kind, quick, accommodating and friendly!
First time in Temecula valley and tried this restaurant based on its good reviews. The Chardonnay we had was very good for around $30 bucks. Had the Sea Bass fish special which was a little over cooked and bland.
Mussels and calamari appetizer were good. Everyone enjoyed the outdoor patio vibe, they had live music on a Sunday afternoon.
The food was horrible and extremely pricy. A turkey wrap was $20, it was processed turkey, the tortilla was stale, and just overall not with it. We would not go back.
Pretty cool place to go drink some wine!
We had a reservation at 5 and on our way to Mt. Paloma we had hit a bit of unexpected accident traffic. We realized we were going to be a few minutes late due to traffic. We called Mt. Palomar to inform them of the delay. And they had told us that if we didn’t make it by our reservation time at 5oclock, they would have to give our table away and wouldn’t be able to seat us because last seat time was at 5.
I am very disappointed that I wasn’t able to enjoy a birthday celebration at Mt. Palomar. We couldn’t control the traffic or help the fact that we would be a few minutes late. We had the courtesy to notify them but they didn’t have the courtesy to hold our table for a few extra minutes.
My first trip to this place was on April 3,2021 and I wasn’t that impressed, but thought it could have been an off day for them. So we made reservations for August 1 at 11:30 for lunch. We were shocked to see the restaurant door locked, dark, no one in sight at the restaurant . We asked the bartender what is going on with the restaurant and he said they closed it that day due to “kitchen issues” whatever that meant. He asked if I got a phone call or email and I said no. Obviously I wasn’t notified since I showed up expecting to eat! There wasn’t even a sign or notice on the door letting people know it was closed. With it being g a Sunday afternoon, it’s tough to get a place to eat at the last minute.
But thanks to Leonesse they saved the day and made room for us! And now we are going to become club members at Leonesse for stepping up.
Another great time at Mount Palomar. Music (sax player) is great. Lots of dancing. Too bad the sax player is only there once next month & then done. Not sure I'll be back if he's not there - he creates a great energy.
Love everything about this winery! Great patio seating with misters cools it off wonderfully on a hot day! Love the port wine! Best in the region. Live music on Saturday’s makes for a lovely relaxing afternoon. Excellent experience.
Had a great time! We danced, we laughed, we drank & we ate. Great time!
I enjoyed the entire experience. Suggestion: Please have waiters tell us their names since none have on name tags knowing their name is a lot better than, "hey you or excuse me". Their courtesy and efficiency means bigger tips from me. I am also please to see your expanded menu. We have introduced many friends and family from all over SoCal to your beautiful facility. Good service and great entertainment is a win, win for me and my friends.
Service was good. Staff was a little confused about seating arrangement. After a lengthy discussion it was worked out. Overall a good experience at the winery.
It was our 1st time In Temecula for wine tasting so choosing this winery was a shot in the dark and I’m happy to say I it was an excellent decision. Great food. We had the lobster grilled cheese, Apple salad w/chicken , and the Italian burger. We all left full, fat and happy. Our server was outstanding. We’ll be back! We also joined the wine club!
Drinks a food took a long time , no checking on table to see if need anything else often we had to ask for a drink couple times several occasions
No main course menu available due to no chief, allowed to finish our wine from wine club
I split the sliders with a friend. The sweet potatoe fries were the best I've ever had!! The sliders we lacking in taste and substance. A friend had flat bread, she said it wasn't crispy. They used to have the BEST homemade Pita bread and hummus. I really wish they could bring that back.
Great service. Great music. Turkey wrap was great. Caesar salad was great. Chicken parmesan was *eh". Amazing drinks.
The ambiance, atmosphere, and food were all wonderful.
We ate on the patio on a warm summer day. The shade and misters made it very comfortable. The food was delicious and we we able to taste six wines while we ate lunch. They paired well.
Food not very flavorful. But, they have a great 2017 Chardonnay.
Had a great time celebrating Father's Day. Great staff, good food, great drinks (full bar!) & awesome music! Danced and made great memories.
Wonderful dinning experience. The food was delicious!
Wonderful experience , nice fathers day lunch, our waiter was awesome, definitely would go again
Once again, we had a blast at Mount Palomar. I still wish that they would sever food in the area across from the bistro, as I almost always have extra guests/friends show up that would LOVE to buy food & drinks (not just a charcuturie board - and go into the bar for drinks). I truly believe the restaurant is losing a LOT of money by not serving these guests.
We dined at the Mount Palomar restaurant in celebration of a teachers retirement and a fun filled girls day! The food was great, the service was awesome and the atmosphere was perfect for our celebratory lunch!!
Service was a bit slow and the food was not too bad. The atmosphere was chill.
Great lunch and a break between wine tastings!
we were there for an event that evening. We booked for the restaurant lunch a couple days before the event. On the day of the event the restaurant notified us that they were closing early for the event and that if we wanted to have the lunch we had to arrive earlier than our reservation. They said that if we arrive after that assigned time, there would be a buffet for $30 for those people that were ticketed for the event. The buffet was just meager for the $30 that they were charging. The food was very mediocre in the buffet. I wish they would have notified us at least 24 hrs ahead so that we could have left earlier and allowed for the traffic on a Friday afternoon. Instead they contacted us 5 hrs before our assigned reservation.
It was like dining at K-Mart (the now defunct retailer). The restaurant is a makeshift dome tent with cheap decor. The service is OK. The food and the prices are horrible. We were a party of 6 and walked out of there with a $250 bill including tip. The lobster grill cheese is $29 and it does not live up to the price or the hype. The rest of the food was mediocre at best and of low quality. The charcuterie board was four appetizer and it was not worth the $34, both by taste and presentation. We drank our water out of plastic cups. The food took forever to come out. The list goes on.
I will not return, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone.
Do yourself a favor and visit Ponte or any of the other dozens of wineries who really do try to present a wine country experience in their restaurant.
customer service was great. very attentive to us. The food we all felt was a bit to salty. we tried all main dishes, the cheese tablet was the best of all things ordered. We are trying as many wineries in the area and this one has a beautiful layout but food is just not quite there, at least for the value. But i will add that all taste buds are different so it is worth the try.
Beautiful view with great food and wine. Limited menu during these Covid-19 times, but still satisfying. Always my start to a wine tasting afternoon.
Pleasant location, but more shade needed. Also, loud construction noise periodically. View was limited. Service was outstanding. Food was great.
We had an amazing lunch on Monday (they are usually closed on Mondays, but it was Memorial Day) They had a special BBQ menu and the food was delicious. Our server was very friendly and great service.
Food was okay and not worth the price. Our cocktails were delicious and the service were great.
Great as always
Food and service was outstanding.
Really bad experience. Service was extremely slow. Out of a group of six, we were told that three of the items we ordered were not available. The food we did get wasn't very good.
