   Overall the experience at The Reel was very good. We have eaten there a number of times over the last two or so years and will continue to do so. We were seated very promptly at a well situated table for 6. Everyone thought their food was good. I had my usual entree, the buttermilk fried oysters which are typically good. THis time they were a bit over-breaded but still tasty. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.

   We had another great dining experience at Reel! The trout was delicious as was the salmon. The service from Zander was impeccable. We adore Karen and so appreciate her engaging energy.

   Bryan provided quick and friendly service on a busy Saturday evening. Highly recommend the Poppyseed Salmon Salad!

   We (3) ordered lobster bisque soup and salad. The soup was barely warm. We summoned the waitress and she did take our bowls (one at a time) to be reheated. We were nearly finished with the salad before we got our soup back.

   The service was horrible! I was out of tea three different times. I wanted to get up and pour my own tea but didn’t know where it was at to say the least. All this while the staff congregated around the entry door to the kitchen. I finally got up to get to get my own ketchup. I got tired waiting for my server. Around 9 pm the the staff was happy they were getting ready to close. Waving their hands in the air. So my wife and I decided to close our tab so the staff could go home. Very disappointed overall since it was recommended by a friend so we drove in from San Antonio.

   Very good food and service. Bryan was a great server — very friendly and energetic. Food was excellently prepared and generous for the price point. For reference, we had the gulf coast and blue points oysters, Mahi Boudreaux, and Flounder and Scallops. Only complaint is the ratio of scallops in the latter dish (advertised as flounder AND scallops but only two small scallops included in dish).

    Reservation thru Open Table was quick and easy. Restaurant staff was very friendly and we were seated immediately. Food was outstanding but a little pricey. $85 for two without drinks (ordered water).
