Lovely food, great service. Would visit again and recommend to others
Attentive staff, great menu, good food and the Manager even gave the Birthday girl a little gift! A very good experience and I shall definitely be going back there again!
We ate outside because the weather was so lovely. The garden area was well set and gave you the opportunity to immerse yourself into the village atmosphere. Service was great from the two young gentlemen who served us. We were given a warm welcome with friendly smiles. We had a lovely goats cheese salad. We’ll definitely be back
Had a quick meal on the way back from a weekend away. Food tast. Staff helpful. Would recommend
We loved the Queens Head pub… but this time it didn’t deliver and it was a huge disappointment. We booked a table for 17:15 only to find out the kitchen had just closed and we had to wait for food order and then it took well over one hour to have our food which was not great with a very hungry child… I would have expected a better service and offer snacks in between of at least a discount on the bill…
Great service and lovely location. Food was great and waiters very attentive
Very good - as always
Great food, service and atmosphere. Will be visiting again
The tables and chairs were not cleaned or wiped down fully , sticky surface.
We ordered several roast dinners but the vegetables were not fully cooked and we had to wait too long for a fresh supply.
Thank you for a lovely evening. We visited as were recommended the restaurant by a friend.
The food was delicious and good portions. The service was excellent too. Shall see you again soon!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice meal
Lovely food, and lovely staff.
Thank you to Daniel and staff for a lovely evening!
Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Great service. Excellent food.
Nice and local, good food, very popular as always seems to have no reservations when we want to book. I guess it shows the pub is busy
First lunch out for so long - food was fantastic and service great
We were in a section with only 2 tables so lovely and quiet. Superb food. Felt clean and safe.
First time back after over 20 years. Still an excellent eatery. Really enjoyed our meal. Food was of very high quality and plentiful. Service polite, if a little slow requesting our drinks orders. I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment and will be going back again as soon as permissible.
We are regular diners at the Queen’s Head. The food is always excellent and the staff are very nice.
Second time booked for a meal both times the food has been excellent comes to the table lovely & hot & delicious. Good choice on the menu.
Worth the drive to eat there.
First time here and it won’t be our last. Food was lovely and a friendly and professional service. The birthday Prosecco and dessert were a lovely surprise.... thank you
Great food as always, good service and lovely staff.
Always a good meal here.
First time eating here food was excellent had a lovely meal staff very good good choice on the menu would definitely book again to eat there lovely atmosphere we ate at the Ivy in London few weeks ago but eating at the Queens Head was better we thoroughly enjoyed our meal look forward to returning
Overall we were a bit disappointed. Having eaten at The Queen’s Head a number of times over the last 20 years we were basing our experience on past visits. Over the years the menu hasn’t changed much which is a good thing with Brie on the starters list and fillet steak and beef Wellington on the main course list. Unfortunately the deep fried Brie was old and dry. My son went for spicy chicken wings and they were too spicy to eat - and we love spicy food. The fillet steaks were dry and the beef Wellington had as much Pate in it as beef. The service was good and the ambiance ok but overall we were disappointed which was a shame as we were looking for something special for my birthday.
Varied menu, Great food, good atmosphere, pleasant staff
Lovely quaint and cosy pub with excellent food and great friendly service.
Lovely meal with the family. Sat by the open fire. Food was lovely. Risotto was still crunchy but tasty. Service was brilliant and very accommodating with our four children. Lovely afternoon
Just great. Really good food and excellent service. Cannot fault it
The Queens Head is our favourite pub for food. Warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very attentive service. Food was very good.
Met some friends for Sunday lunch. Everybody enjoyed their food. Nicely presented and plenty to eat. I had the vegetarian nut roast and it was probably one of the best I have tasted.
We were not rushed even though we had opted for early dinner and they were getting busy by the time we were finishing.
Friendly staff, very welcoming.
Most enjoyable sunday lunch for a long time, the Staff were very friendly and helpfull.
A lovely Pub which values food quality and a friendly welcome. The meals are consistently very good and we are never disappointed.
Another lovely visit to the Queens Head. We got greeted with smilies and handshakes. Staff all dressed smartly and all very polite. Food was delicious and plenty of it, I couldn’t finish eating my roast.
Highly recommended and will be back there again soon
This was our first visit to the Queens Head, we went for a surprise birthday meal for the daughter, the staff were very helpful and had set the table up very nice for us, the food was of very good quality and was well presented. We will definitely return again to this lovely village pub.
Absolutely beautiful pub, gorgeous location and staff who couldn’t do enough to make the experience lovely. The food was fantastic, absolutely gorgeous. The best local pub I’ve been to. Portions were large, maybe a little too big! Reasonable value for money but a little pricey, not a pub you could visit regularly but on a special occasion would be absolutely perfect.
Excellent food and service. Lovely old pub plenty of parking and space and garden.
I always enjoy coming to the Queen's Head. The food is great, the staff are helpful and friendly.Ehat more could you want?
We usually would recommend the Queens Head but we’re disappointed this time. The beef was very chewy and the Elton Mess was not up to standard. We will leave it a while before returning
Great staff who looked after us, great food which we all really enjoyed especially the desserts
Really tasty food, and good choice. We loved their pork bellow and lamb shank, both of which were prepared superbly. Presentation of the food was truly sumptuous and it was mouth-watering to look at.
Lovely friendly people too.
