We had the hamburger and the omelet. The omelet was covered in cheese sauce. The staff was accommodating and when I sent it back, it was remade with sauce on the side. Bland tasting over all. The hamburger was difficult to eat because it was two patties and very thick. Tasted good The corn muffins were simply delicious and it was delightful sitting out on the patio on such a lovely day. The waiter was attentive...kudos to him.

Every time we go, we are thrilled to try something new on the menu. The dishes are prepared so well. It is a delight to taste a familiar dish and then discover the extra complexity of flavors. If you get a chance to sit in the kitchen, it is worth it to see how these delicious dishes come to life. Cocktails are very good. The service is very attentive but not overbearing. It is a great location as well.

We were disappointed with our experience. We felt underwhelmed by the quality of the food that was decidedly overpriced. When we arrived, the very nicely dressed maitre d' was not impolite but not overly friendly either. In general, the staff seemed anxious and apprehensive as if they were being supervised by a less experienced or toxic manager. You may want to look into that. There weren't any smiles, usually a sign that the management motto is, "Firings will continue until morale improves. The waiter was the exception but, although not overly attentive, he seemed preoccupied while we were there. when I asked for salt and pepper, he brought a bowl of salt with a small spoon and brought over a pepper mill to administer the pepper. I was surprised to see there was only one pepper mill in the entire dining room. That seemed cheap to me. This impression was supported by the lack of salad dressing on our field green salads. After trying to mine the dressing from the bottom of the bowl, I gave up. It conjured up an image of the waiter in the kitchen doling out a predetermined inadequate amount of dressing in order to save money. Likewise, when we ordered wine, I don't think the waiter poured each of us three ounces of wine per glass! He seemed very concerned with holding down the portion, which, at $15.00 per glass, should have been more generous. Mr wife's chicken dish was not bad but my pot roast consisted mainly of fat and gristle with very little meat. I was left with the uncomfortable task of extracting that greasy inedible portion from my mouth. Eighty napkins or, perhaps, a tablet side spitoon would have been more appropriate for this task. The highlight of the meals was dessert. I had the ice cream sandwich, a halved brownie with a slab of vanilla ice cream in the middle. At $6.00, it was also the best value of the night. My wife had a piece of cheesecake and felt it was very nice. Overall, we felt the price was too high for the quality of the meal. Don't go!

Server Kahla was amazing, very attentive and personable. Every dish we had was fantastic. Would recommend over and over again.

Former Volt and Thatcher and Rye location. Much more approachable menu but still very high quality food and cocktails. This is a great addition to downtown!

Second visit. Again, a beautiful salad presentation with dressing on the bottom to provide a good visual. Had the fried chicken dinner, and the chicken was cooked perfectly with a delicious, light fried coating that complimented rather than overpowered the bird. Came with 2 jalapeño small muffins. Very good pairing.

Our experience was fantastic. The food, while appearing “simple”, is perfectly executed and delicious. The staff was very kind and educated on the menu- our server recommended a pairing of pineapple sorbet with a glass of sparkle and this ended up being a highlight of the meal. The chef was being interviewed while we were there - his backstory is one of hard work, perseverance, and just being authentic. It was an added gift hearing more about the roots forming the menu. I’d say one of the best meals we’ve had in a long time and an 11 out of ten.

The food and service outstanding. Our server was very enthusiastic and helpful. The fried chicken and pot roast were delicious as was the pepperoni roll as a starter.
