Good food, quick service, and a cute little place in near Mound, MN. Mound has no place that one can find good food, so Lake Room is a blessing.

The service was very good and both meals were literally perfectly prepared(fish and steak). First time at the Lake house so we were very pleasantly surprised- even though other ratings have been very good. Congrats to the staff at The Lake House !!

Our server was awesome. We made a mistake and showed up an hour early. The people we were meeting were coming at the correct time. Our Server said “no problem”. Whoo hoo! Thank you. Our food was excellent. I had the burger and fries. Best burger ever. My husband had the chicken pot pie. He said it was really good. My sister had the shrimp pasta. She said it was awesome. I remember going to the Narrows to listen to music. I was very happy to see they have a fine dining restaurant. We will go on a weekend for dinner next time and check out the music later.

Pretty exceptional food. Zero buyers remorse when you get the bill. The vibe is good, not too loud friendly staff. We’ll be back.

Enjoyed my birthday dinner with my family on the patio. Cozy and it wasn't busy. Started with the Baguette/oil/ricotta app. Crazy good flavor and perfect for 2 of us. I had the steak sandwich (medium). Perfection. The baguette, horseradish sauce, arugula...delicious sandwich. My wife had the black truffle sacchetti. WOW. Very rich in flavor as she only ate half but the flavor profile was money. Definitely coming back and tellers others about it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

As a indian family, it seemed a bit unwelcoming. The greeting at the checkin stand felt judgmental. Other patrons were judgmental as well. I wore jeans but as a younger person, I understand how to dress jeans up. I was definitely not wearing casual clothing. Further, the restaurant is not at a level i deemed upscale enough to wear more fancy clothing. Other patrons were wearing clothing that I would deem much more casual than mine. Trucker hats galore. Shorts everywhere. If I wore anything more fancy, I would be deemed overdressed. One patron stated something about my jeans being casual as I walked past him. Since everyone else was wearing trucker hats and shorts, I couldn’t understand why he had a problem with my jeans. He didn’t even have the decency to say anything until I was out of earshot. Oh well, the older generation of course while always be audacious. I understand that is not the fault of the restaurant but it can be combatted by a warm greeting and showing respect by the host creating the understanding that each guest is to be treated equally. The food was made very well and so I wish that I could say more positive things about the restaurant. But when my family feels on edge and uncomfortable the entire duration, it can be hard to enjoy the food. It is not the first time we’ve been in a white-dominated restaurant. It’s something we notice each time we enter into a public space. But it was unfortunate that we could not enjoy the experience. Luckily some other patrons were more friendly towards the end of the dinner when the dessert came out for my parents birthday. Anyways, some people will have a good experience here, some might not.
