The Jackdaw, Conwy

Jackdaw or Jac-do in Welsh, is the nickname given to a person born within the castle walls of Conwy town.
The name is taken from the bird which can be found nesting in the walls of the town and castle.

Within the walls of Conwy Castle lies The Jackdaw, a restaurant by Nick Rudge.
Providing a unique Welsh Tasting Menu on Tuesday to Saturday evenings and 'The Nest', a reduced 4 course lunch Tasting Menu on Friday and Saturdays.

The Nest is a 4 course lunch menu priced at £35 per person in The Jackdaw, Conwy. We would love to welcome you on Friday and Saturday lunches between 12pm and 3pm. With delicious food and lots of wonderful wines by the glass, our menu changes very regularly, similarly to The Jackdaw's ethos the menu will change with the seasons around us! Beautiful hidden restaurant on Conwy High Street serving amazing locally produced food. We had the Spring tasting menu for dinner and it didn’t disappoint. I would definitely recommend to anyone in the area!

Excellent experience at Jackdaw! The restaurant is small and intimate and the staff are friendly and attentive. The tasting menu was fabulous and stand out course were the bread and the brown butter cod. Deserves a star ⭐️

Fantastic tasting menu. We love tasting menus and this is definitely one of our favourites. Yet again a really good balance of dishes that went together so well. Great service as usual and a lovely friendly atmosphere,

Always a phenomenal experience with great attention to detail from start to finish. I doubt we will ever tire of visiting. Thank you to Gareth for expertly guiding us through our evening once again!

It was our first time dining at the restaurant, such an amazing experience! Never tasted food like it before and customer service was impeccable.

We were recommended The Jackdaw. Fabulous restaurant. Full the evening we went with lots of chatter. Food was gorgeous each plate delicious. Manager was very knowledgeable about wines and helped me choose my wine selection. My husband had the wine pairing which he said was a great compliment to each course. We will definitely go back.
