The food we had was solid but not exceptional. Service fragmented and disjointed with server not aware of which dishes were out of stock before we ordered. Waiting staff need to cooperate with kitchen more effectively

We arrived before our reservation and before food service started at 5PM. We were seated outside, as requested, and ordered drinks while we reviewed the menu and waited for 5PM to order. I was impressed with the menu - lots of items that appealed to me, and I had a hard time choosing. The food and service were very good. As tourists to Portland, we found this neighborhood restaurant to be a pleasant change of pace from downtown Portland.

We were delighted with our entire experience! Jerry, our server, took very good care of us and our entrees were both delicious. The neighborhood vibe was perfect for a Sunday Labor Day dinner and even the playlist hand picked by the hostess was on point! Why can’t we have a perfect total experience like this in our Portland?! Definitely coming back when the opportunity to visit ME comes around again. 5 stars!!

I had the pleasure of dining at The Front Room in Portland, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was truly outstanding – each dish was carefully prepared and perfectly balanced in flavor. I especially want to highlight the Crème Brûlée, which was absolutely delicious with a perfectly crisp caramelized top. Before that we had the salmon and the cod fish. Both were very tasty and delicious. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the evening even more enjoyable. Sitting outside was cozy and allowed us to relax and soak in the lovely atmosphere. Overall, a great restaurant that I highly recommend. You’ll feel welcomed and treated to a wonderful culinary experience in a nice location.

Delicious meal with attentive server. This is our go to-to neighborhood restaurant and have noticed that portions are smaller, no complimentary bread and prices have increased substantially. Happy hour $4 glass of wine is a crowd pleaser. We missed Ryan tending bar as he makes a superb cocktail. Looking forward to our next visit.

Love this restaurant for brunch but not so much for dinner. Service is good and love the vibe but food just isn’t as impressive. We had Cesar salad which was overdressed and came with a large frico like disc of cheese that was difficult to break up because it was rubbery and not crispy. The Schnitzel was very large and overall had good flavor but the was too thick and not a thin crispy cutlet. It was also smothered in way too much sauce which meant only a little crispy end piece and the rest was soggy. The crab pasta was probably the best thing albeit a little too sweet for me. I will be back but just for brunch and not dinner.
