Established in 1992 by Mike Connor with the help of family and friends, The Chop House® has become one of the premier casual restaurant concepts in the Southeast, with 12 locations spread across 4 states.

    Very very low quality steak. The last 3 times I’ve eaten here, I’ve ordered New York Strip and it has always been tough. This time, they had a “special” “better” cut of New York Strip on their special menu. It was horrible - so tough that it took strength in my arms to cut it with a steak knife. I ordered it medium … it came medium-well. I didn’t complain. But the point I am making is that it was not tough because it was well done. Even at medium-well, a “premium” cut of New York Strip should never be so tough that it can’t be cut. This place is using very cheap meat. I will never go back. 3 times of getting extremely tough steak is enough for me to know that this is their norm. The first 2 times were not just an “off” night for them as I had originally thought. Horrible. Our server was awesome. He should go work at a better place.

    It looks like they have remodeled, so it looks nicer. However, it was so loud in there that we had a hard time hearing each other. They needed some sort of sound dampening with the remodel. Unfortunately, the food portion of the experience left much to be desired. We waited approximately 90 minutes for our food (our reservation was at 6:30 but we didn't walk out until 9 due to food issues). When it arrived, my order was both overcooked and cold. Another person's rice pilaf was...not good (the rice was overcooked and full of big chunks of overcooked peppers). The steakburger was ok, and the salmon was very good. I had to wait for a second meal, and while that meal came out fine, I did have to wait until 2/3 of the other people at the table were done eating. They did give us complimentary coffee and a few apologies, but after all that, it just wasn't worth it. The manager mentioned a large party arriving late, but people seated after us received their food before us. Maybe it was just an off day, but it wasn't the greatest experience.

    It's always good food,good service, reasonable prices, and a great place to go for lunch or dinner. We go frequently, and we love it, my senior women's groups and church women's groups!

    Steak was over cooked and cold. Second steak had a bad taste. Tasted freezer old. Manager acted put out and didn’t come back to table for second steak. Prime rib was extremely cold like right out of refrigerator. Salad was very good.

    Very nice, quiet place to have dinner. It's a little on the bright side, but it fits the vibe. Clean, the food is delicious, and the service was excellent and friendly.

    24th Anniversary / Family dinner, enjoying time with kids home from college for the weekend. Prompt and friendly service, not overly gratuitous with little banter which suits us just fine. Food was good; prime rib, ribs and ribeye… surprisingly the ribs seemed to be the most enjoyed. Spinach dip and burgundy mushrooms were highlights. Restaurant does need a refresh, it’s dated and not reflective of the menu or prices. We like this restaurant and visit about two or three times a year.
