The Butcher, The Baker, The Cappuccino Maker calificaciones y reseñas
Horrible service on weekends. Food was overcooked, the waiter didn't check on us, and we had to wait for 20 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation. They didn't even offer us a coffee or anything else for the matter as compensation for the terrible experience. They just don't care.
For what it was, the food was expensive and the Open Table menu, not current.
The service was friendly but not efficient ie we had to get up and retrieve our drinks from the bar - neither the bar server or waiter through to bring them to the table!
The grilled salmon was fine, but did not come with sides and this was not conveyed at the time of ordering. The seafood risotto Nero was lacking in flavor and seafood! The highly rated Tres Leches was extremely sweet and unpalatable.
The dining room is unbearably noisy.
We sat at an outside table facing the street to do a little people watching and see the surrounding street scene. The server checked on us regularly, the food was delightful and high quality, and the fresh roasted coffee was a nice cap to the evening.
Overall the food and atmosphere of the restaurant was very good. My only complaint is the service - I made a reservation for a party of two for 11:30am and they did not seat us until a little after 12pm. Then once inside our waiter was a bit slow checking in on the tables, which leads me to believe the wait staff may have been the cause of the significant back up at the hostess stand.
The calamari was all breading and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. The salad was over dressed and if it wasn’t for the crispy parmesan had no taste. The chicken in the salad was all salt. The steak was cooked well, tasted ok but the mashed potatoes were frozen cold. The only thing from dinner that was good was the butternut squash soup.
I'm a repeat customer and love going to your restaurant. The food is always good, prompt, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. This last Saturday we had the best waitress we've had. Grace was courteous, made us feel welcome, was funny, and her service was exemplary. Great job, Grace.
Nice cafe - clean, bright, open with street parking. Food was quite tasty including the fresh calamari & garlic shrimp. Short rib was on point too. Our server seemed to be tasked with helping every table while other employees just opened bottles of water or wine - this slowed the service process and seemed inefficient. Overall, it's a great little spot for dinner on Sunset. Will go back to experience a brunch and try some of their amazing coffees.
I'm vacationing in LA for the first time and staying in WeHo. I've seen this cafe all over social media so I had to go. This was my first time dining by myself as I wanted a quick bite before work. I went right when they opened at about 8 am and was greeted by my server, Courtney. SHE WAS SUCH A GEM. She was so sweet and made my first experience dining in LA so amazing. Thank you for the unreal service and good vibes! You made my day :)
Good brunch food, eggs benedict was very tasty and the seafood omelette was full of seafood. Maple/bacon scones were good but a bit heavy on the bacon. Very friendly server and attentive staff. Easy parking behind so we will definitely be back.
The service and the waiter were great. The place could do some tweaking regarding the lights (inside), heaters (outside), music (inexistent) and the wine list (rather limited). The food was very good and served copiously. Overall, the cost/dinner ratio was excellent.
A friend and I made a reservation for a Friday evening dinner. The location of the restaurant is great, the ambiance and the decor is simple yet classy and overall the place looked promising. We did the Dine LA menu and picked out our dishes for the 4 course meal. Service started off great: The 1st and 2nd course came out quickly. However we ended up finishing our 2nd course and waited 30+ minutes before flagging down our waitress to check on our order. She said the kitchen just got super busy with all the people coming in for dinner and they are working on it. After an additional 10 minutes or so, we flagged down the waitress again who said the manager is on it. Our food arrived, somewhat cold. If this came straight from the kitchen and if the manager was taking care of this, shouldn’t the course be hot? I ordered The roasted cauliflower which was a huge disappointment. The vegetable wasn’t cooked through. It was just slightly burnt on top. Also there was no seasoning whatsoever. I asked for seasoning on the side or some kind of sauce to eat the uncooked cauliflower with. The staff said they had none (this is not true. Try: verde salsa, seasoning from the crispy potatoes, burrata). Dessert was a hit/miss. The tiramisu is dry like it’s been sitting in the fridge for the week. I DO recommend the shake! The strawberry shake is amazing and well worth the time. Overall, I would not recommend this place for dinner. But their brunch menu looks promising! The manager was super sweet through the whole thing and incredibly helpful.
With 2 different buildings for indoor seating, and two open air areas (patio and sidewalk), you have plenty of choices. It's right on Sunset, part of Sunset Plaza, just west of Crescent Heights.
I've been there for lunch and for dinner, and enjoyed both meals immensely. Interesting and unusual - and very tasty - combinations of food. Check-in with the hostess at the curb between the two buildings. Free parking in the rear for the whole Plaza block. Go and enjoy!
