I made a reservation for a friend’s birthday. The service and food was amazing, as per usual (I’ve gone here a few times because it’s so good). I noted it was my friend’s bday on the reservation and an employee (possibly the manager) actually brought us out a dessert, which was delicious!!!

Texas Jack’s is one of my favorites and it didn’t disappoint! Went in a Saturday night at 7. We sat on the bar side in one of the booths and there were partitions between each booth. It was a bit noisy, but considering it was a weekend evening, that isn’t unexpected. The food came out quickly (deviled eggs came out after about 3 minutes and dinner was out in about 10) and everything was tasty. Since the sauce isn’t on the tables anymore, it took awhile to get someone’s attention to get spicy sauce, but next time I’ll know to ask for that when I order.

Had brunch with the family sitting outside. The food was pretty good, service was attentive, and the sun was shining. We will be back.

Great flavors and friendly servers

Excellent experience. I love Texas Jack’s for the quality of the food and the service. Outside seating ambience was perfect. Seating was spaced far enough apart that I felt comfortable eating and drinking amongst other guests. Recommend to any one looking for great food and a happy experience.

We visited this restaurant last week and the food was excellent. So we decided to come and celebrate my sister’s birthday and it was a total disappointment. Food was room temperature. They took it back and reheated it, but it didn’t taste like a freshly cooked meal.

All of the meat (ribs, wings, and chicken) was very tough and bland. The burger and fries were good.

Great! Restaurant is following appropriate covid measures.

I absolutely love it here. I went here during happy hour with my mother once & now I bring everyone here for happy hour. Great food, great prices & great customer service.

Short rib is spectacular, brisket was a bit tough, wings were great

The beef short rib was one of the best bites of BBQ I have had in a long time. That was the highlight of the meal. The brisket was one of the worst bites of BBQ I have had in a while. It was super dry, flavorless, and you needed water just to be able to swallow it. I went Friday night at 730 pm and it was clearly not fresh and it tasted like it was sitting in a heater for the whole day. The macaroni and cheese was cold. The chicken was flavorless and I wouldn't eat it if it was given to me for free.

How can they mess up a brisket if they claim to be Texas style? Price point doesn't match as well because the quality and taste of the food is sub-par. Oh well, I guess I can cross this off as a one and done restaurant.

Texas Jack’s is our official go-to when we need BBQ in northern Virginia. I especially love the brisket nachos but all their BBQ is fabulous. Their creative cocktails are likewise delicious. The staff is always welcoming, engaging, and efficient.

The food was really good and the servings for the price. It was nice and bright and the server was very attentive. Definitely can’t wait to return.

The food is absolutely delicious! So flavorful and well prepared. My friend and I did the Monday half-price special on the meat sampler, and it was well worth it. Got to try all of their smoked meats at once with homemade accompaniments like pickled onions and homemade pickles. We enjoyed the sides, too, but I’d like to suggest that maybe there are more options, like if you order a particular platter you get a side or two with it. Just the same, I cannot wait to go back. This is a good place for pandemic dining as it’s spacious and the tables are set well apart. There are hands-free menu and payment options. Dinner for two with two beers each and tip was about $75. That’s is really good! The services was prompt and attentive. Great place!

Was disappointed as the restaurant was out of the first two items we ordered, ribs and chicken. Not great that a BBQ place should run out during a holiday weekend!
Fall backs of flank steak (overcooked and dry) and brisket (dry and bland) were poor.
Overall, will not be going back.

Service was impeccable. The BBQ is good - borderline great. The sides really set this place apart. Brussel sprouts are worth the price of admission. Cornbread and chili are both absolutely amazing, as well. Presentation is also an A+. Love the different pickled veggies that came with the tray of meat.

Everything is priced steep. Probably has to do with the location.

So why not 5 stars across the board?? The meat - let's talk about it. This place carries a lot of weight with supposed food experts. They're not entirely wrong in singing TJs praises. However... If you are semi-successful on your own pit at home, you'll probably be only moderately pleased with the offerings here. I've been backyard q'ing for 12+ years. I wasn't blown away by any one meat on the sampler tray - but that being said nothing was outright bad or wrong. It was actually quite good. And let's face it, most Q in this area is garbage. So yeah. Whaddya gonna do?

TL;DR - the place is great; sides are amazing; bbq is tasty. But it all comes with a pricetag.

Texas Jack’s is one of our favorite restaurants in Arlington. I especially enjoy the brisket and Jalapeño Margaritas!

On our last visit we went for brunch. The Brisket Hash was excellent, as were the Mangosas (Mango Mimosas).

I went with a friend of mine and they have a great Covid-19 safe outdoor eating area with heaters to help with the cold. The food and service was amazing! Definitely would recommend :)

Was a quick meal that hit the spot

A go to BBQ restaurant. Service was superb. Food was excellent. Fun atmosphere. Kid friendly. Clean, safe, tables far enough apart. Would recommend for a good Saturday night family dinner.

Went at end of night and the meats were a bit dry. Overall flavor good and good sized portions.

Both the brisket and chicken were on the drier side. Many items served a la carte - a bit pricy.

Brisket done right. Great sides. Always great service.
