The set lunch menu is an amazing way to taste this incredible food for about 1/3 of the price! High end Indian done really well and a very nice decor as well.
Brilliant ambience, gentle staff, outstanding food and cocktails.
Amazing food and our waiter was knowledgable helpful and very charming!! Beautifully presented and authentic Indian cuisine. Will be returning with many friends!
Everything was great, just we were waiting too long for appetizers . Approx. 20 minutes. And were not offered any nibbles etc..
Otherwise really great good and service!
We came for Sunday lunch and tried the 3 course tasting menu with was wonderful. The service was great. Felix was absolutely amazing and even made time to entertain our 15-month old daughter who was highly amused :) . Thank you everyone at Tamarind Kitchen for a lovely dining experience.
Food and service was excellent. I would recommend it. My own preference was that the restaurant didn't have enough lighting.
Great service and ambiance but the food didn’t quite live up to that standard. Fish slightly over-cooked and some sauces (not all) were a little bland. Don’t want to bee too critical but the standard of this type of food in central London is very high.
The food was lovely and the service was really good!
The meal we had was very special, the restaurant had subtle lighting, was comfortable and the staff were welcoming and friendly. We had tandoori chicken to start, yum, lamb biryani and tarka dahl for main even more yum. Delicious subtle herbs and spices, not too hot, just delicious. We will definitely return. Thanks.
Great food and service . Would recommend to friend
Fantastic food, rather casual relaxing atmosphere (somehow feels nicer in the evening than it did during the previous visit during the day), great service - loved it again. However, Menu is rather narrow and stable - would not come back before they update it to not just eat the same
Came for my birthday and got the set menu. Staff were not very friendly. My husband asked if there was anywhere for his jacket and the manager just said no. They didn’t want to give us a decent table and portions were tiny so no value for money. The dessert was ridiculously tiny but it was tasty food. Won’t come back.
The waiter spoiled the evening as he was constantly trying to up sell!
Felt a bit ripped off at the end.
The food and cocktails were great, as was the ambience. The only thing to let it down was slow service with little communication as to why it was taking longer than the surrounding tables.
Food was really good, the decor of the restaurant is really nice, staff are lovely, great service.
Disappointing - food was just so underwhelming. Was expecting amazing flavours and just left feeling like we’d had over priced, salty food. The spinach and paneer was so over cooked and the black garlic in the chicken was too strong. Compare it to other similar restaurants like Gymkhana or even Zumbura in Clapham, or Darjeeling Express, and it just falls far short on their standards and quality. Wouldn’t go back.
Good main course from very limited vegetarian options. Staff could have been bit warmer, requested for a photo on our phone and was taken as dark in one click and handed back. The way the table was arranged, it was difficult to squeeze in for 6 ft guy like me. Very limited starter options in vegetarian which disappointed my wife on our Anniversary evening
Really enjoyed our meal here. The service was a little slow to start with, but once we had ordered, everything came out in good timing and was really tasty.
Overall it was quite good value for money, but the wines were all pricey and the scallop appetiser was overpriced considering you only get 2 scallops!
Would definitely come back though, and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. Thanks for a nice birthday meal Taramind Kitchen!
Excellent food and top-notch service. Very friendly and attentive staff, cool vibe/atmosphere. My wife and I (foodies) and our middle schooler daughters loved it.
The waiter was incredibly friendly, funny and helpful in choosing dishes and really made the dining experience special for us. It was my mum's birthday and she was treated to a complementary dessert and also a glass of champagne. The food is very tasty; not spicy but still flavourful.
Best Indian I’ve ever had.
Always a great experience: wonderful food and amazing atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.
Excellent meal on Valentine’s Day. The dishes were high quality and creative. We had the lamb, tandoori chicken and some vegetables. Dessert was the chai brûlée and chocolate bomb.
I took my girlfriend here for valentines day! It was fantastic, the food was brill. A great choice of drinks too. The curry was not greasy, it was full of flavour and I really enjoyed the experience. It is great for all occasions and in the middle of Soho - Perfect location too!
The staff was super polite and service minded. The first table we got was very close to the door and we could feel the cold wind all the time. We got moved to another table and this was better, but still very cold. (And I'm usually a very warm person). My date needed to put on a jacket to not freeze. The food was good but nothing extra. The drink I got was good though :-)
Food was below average. Lack of choice and really bland.
It was a lovely place. Amazing food and friendly staff.
Lovely evening. We were early so exceptional service. Wine very pricey though. Great food.
Excellent food, good value for money, attentive stuff
It’s always good to be here. Lovely food great ambiance and good service with a smile. Totally recommended 😊👍
Atmosphere is fantastic.
The food contained some great flavours and was enjoyable, however, you're paying for the location and name from a value perspective.
Overall, definitely worth visiting and would be glad to return.
Great food and atmosphere everything we got was amazing!
Food was very good. Service spot on. Value was very good.
Only downside is that we were near the door and every time it opened there was a cold gust. This could be easily fixed if there was another door just inside the restaurant, or even a curtain. Next time I’ll ask to be seated away from the door.
Fantastic experience and service and food/drinks speaking volumes in quality and taste. Perfect three course meal each and attention to detail and customer service is incredible. First visit here and cannot wait to return.
Great restaurant for any occasion! I greatly enjoyed eating there. Food was very delicious and so was service. Please keep it up.
The dining experience was excellent. Service was attentive and the food was fantastic.
We opted for the special offer '3 courses for £29' menu and booked a table for 6.30pm, however be aware you have to be there and order BEFORE 6.30pm if you are going to have the special offer. I reached the restaurant a little while before my friend but was still a few mins past, the restaurant kindly let me still have the special offer, otherwise they do stop sharp at 6.30pm for that.
The food itself was wonderful, the chicken and lamb in the starters were juicy and tender, the sweetcorn suitably spicy, and for the mains there was so many dishes, a huge amount of food that we couldn't eat it all in the end. Great value for money.
Service and staff were lovely, very accommodating and friendly.
Service excellent; starter very good level of spice, but there was too much sauce, which was rather sweet. Main course okay but was much improved by a spicy sauce which I added to the rather bland sauce. The chicken had not been marinated and had not absorbed any flavours. It was also thigh meat, which is not my favourite.
I don't really like going to Indian Restaurants as i feel that the food lets me down, however on this occasion i thought that all of what i ordered was very good. I felt that the service was OK as i have received better in other establishments.
My husband was not really happy with his chair as he was positioned to low for the table. The waiter were so busy that they failed to notice this and in the time we were there my husband tried various chairs that he moved himself.
