La comida fue muy rica. Habían dos Mederos ayudándonos. Nuestro mesero Juan fue increíble pero el otro pasable. La única cosa es que tiene que pagar mucho para la comida Y tiene también tiene que pagar una tarifa de servicio. A mi, una tarifa de servicio significa que algunos no van a trabajar fuerte por van a recibir lo mismo. Eso fue el caso para nosotros. Juan trabajó muy fuerte y es un hombre de integridad. El otro (el nombre no voy a decir) no trabajaba bien. Otra vez, es porque la tarifa de servicio es un poco socialista. Para mi, un restaurante para ser un 5, hay que tener buena comida Y buen servicio.

As with every restaurant and activity here, the service is impeccable. We dined late so the place was empty. It was also taco night, which we did not want, and I didn’t realize the only other items offered were a small special menu. Tortilla soup was tasty but not served warm enough. I had the grilled octopus which was cooked perfectly and served on a bed of pumpkin mole. Really good! Two others had salads which were very good.

We were sat and had reservations at 6:45pm. At 7:05pm, we had still not been greeted so I went and informed the hostess (who was great). We finally were greeted and had our orders taken. Took about 20+ mins for our drinks, which at that point, we had already finished our tacos. Our server didn’t come back for quite a while… so wet couldn’t even order more tacos when we were paying for unlimited. All other tables were at least given chips and salsa to hold them over, but we never did. I asked for chips with the fundido we ordered, but again, never received. So the hostess had to get them for us. The food was delicious, we just seemed to have been a table that got lost in the mix.

Horrible experience. It is not clear from the website that it is a buffet. Beyond that, the food is mediocre at best and absurdly expensive for what it is. I would not recommend even trying this place.

A HUGE disappointment. We were not planning on a buffet. Perhaps it was our fault for not knowing it was Mexican Night but we saw nothing to let us know. As it was a Saturday evening during Spring Break, we felt we had little option but to stay. The price of $67/person was ridiculous. We have been staying at this resort for 20 years and have always found the food quality at El Meson/Talavera to be very good. This DID NOT meet our expectations. The Tortilla Soup was basically Tomato Soup. The fish was way overcooked. The Chicken Mole was completely tasteless. When the bill came, there was a 17% service charge added to it. Again, a surprise. We truly love the Hilton Los Cabos but this was not up to their usual standards.

We’ve been here 2 years ago and it was casual and nice. But this visit the service took for ever! We stay at this hotel and love the breakfast at thus restaurant, but the dinner service this time was not great at all. Bummer

Severely understaffed. We stayed at the resort for 1 week. All the other restaurants were fully staffed, even somewhat over staffed. Could not get our server to bring drinks, menus or the check without asking multiple times. Extremely limited menu for vegetarians, despite asking before dining. Not a good experience in any way.

They were very accommodating to modifications and our server provided great recommendations! The food was pricy, but to be expected at a hotel like this (think $18 cocktails and $22 guacamole) and they do not skimp on portions. Overall recommend, very yummy!

Great view and location. Much of the menu is overpriced by a lot for what us offered. But it’s a Hilton resort so pretty much expected. Fish was very good, enchiladas in mole not so much. Service is very good.

This was a Taco Tuesday rip off. I paid $45 to eat 3 tacos. They do say it is All you can eat, but how many tacos can a person really eats? beverages and desert are not included. Big scam!!!!
