Service and server were incredible !! We had a great time and thank you for allowing us to change our location of the table
Wonderful service, delicious food and beautiful ambiance
Our service in the dining area was superb!! Couldn’t have asked for better service. One dish had to be reheated but delicious. Steak was very good as well. Caesar salad was way overdressed and soggy.. Service was terrible when we joined another couple at the bar for drinks after dinner. Very unpleasant bartender. Desert took over 20 minutes to arrive. Our evening was cut short when a very intoxicated patron swiped her full drink off the bar and onto my lap and the the
Glass shattered everywhere under my feet. No reaction from bartender or staff until someone came to see if she was cut by any glass. None of us were but I completely drenched and had to drive home in soaked clothing. Accidents happen but staff never even acknowledged our quick departure.
Food was amazing but it took about 2 hours for entrees to come out... a bit ridiculous. Gorgeous restaurant and kind staff.
Great food and service overall! Loved it
Tagliata’s daily live music in the lounge is a great draw and the food is always tasty. The food here is also solid with service that has typically underwhelmed us.
Food was spectacular. Beautiful restaurant. Great menu.
Little slow initially with service (though not unexpected in today’s world). Food was great, recommendations on point. A little pricey, but not horrible given Baltimore inner harbor. Sat outside which was wonderful, though the noise from inside still permeated the patio (inside was much louder)
Beautiful space and the food and service was amazing!
Ambiance and Noise Level do not bring to mind what someone expects for a Chop House. Service was excellent but this not a place to go for a "dining" experience - too rushed, too loud. Food was good, Charcuterie was excellent and very Fresh but cheese portions did not equal meat portions and were quite small. Wine selection varied and good choices and reasonably priced. Not sure I would return but would tell anyone that asked that tastes differ and thus worth a try.
We went for our anniversary on a Monday, and it was absolutely wonderful! We let them know it was our anniversary when we booked, and once we sat they brought us each a glass of champagne to celebrate. The service and the food was amazing. They really made us feel at home. Will definitely book again!
The dishes I feel like were overpriced
Menu had fewer options from when we dined there is 2019… our server had no interest at all in our table. The supervisor actually cleaned off the table and a kind server from a different table wrapped our food to go. She never stopped back once to our table to ask how the meals were. Most likely would not revisit
I went to Tagliata pre-pandemic and was very excited to return with my husband recently, however was underwhelmed by the meal. The cocktails were lovely, and the service was friendly, but notably understaffed. The chilled corn soup was lovely, but the caesar salad was disappointing - the dressing was missing that anchovy bite. Our pasta course had obviously been sitting under heating lamps for some time, and quite frankly, was not worth the price. I could have easily made the same (or better) at home. The staff did try to be accommodating, and provided sparkling wine at the end gratis. I do hope the restaurant is able to return to what I remember. I know the industry as a whole is struggling after the last year +
Parking and valet service is poor. Charges are exorbitant!
Jenny was a wonderful server
The food was fine, nothing outstanding and the menu was super standard for an Italian restaurant. Nothing special.
The service at lunch on a Saturday was very poor. We probably would have received better service at a fast food restaurant. Our server didn't bother letting us know they were out of things until 20 minutes later and every time she came by she seemed annoyed. Definitely not hospitable.
We came up from DC looking for a place for lunch, but we'll never go back.
The staff were amazing and made celebrating our anniversary an outstanding experience!
The food was really not good but service was amazing
Excellent service and exceptional food and drink.
The salad was amazing, Salmon was not good at all, Lobster had shells and bones in the dish. Beer was great.
Has it all. Will be back.
Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with recommendations. Food was delicious as always, however, my dish was not very hot and portions are very small for the price. I had the chicken Marsala which was one chicken cutlet.. no side for $27.00. Think that’s a little ridiculous.
The ambiance was perfect for my husband and I! Great food, nice place to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
Food was excellent and service was good. There were items that were listed on the menu that were not available. Food did take some time to get to us.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing place, this is probably not for you. Room was very loud.
An amazing first experience. Live pianist/singer was a surprise.
The staff made sure to recognize that we were there for a birthday which was a nice touch.
Food is delicious and creative. Servers are attentive. And the ambiance is phenomenal.
More an observation than a negative… The music and chatter inside might make talking to everyone of a large group challenging~~ it’s a lively atmosphere.
Overall not good. Maybe bc I had high expectations but I was very disappointed. Food was bland and cold. We were sat at 7:00 and didn’t get our entree until 9:45. The server did her best but overall was not an enjoyable experience. Would absolutely not go back or recommend. Way better options out there for the money.
This was my first time eating here and it did NOT disappoint. The waitresses and food was excellent. You can tell they truly care about how they prepare the food. The only issue I had while dining outside was the table of 6 that sat diagonal from my date and I. They were collectively so loud I couldn’t hear myself think. The wonderful music faded and I could feel a slight pain behind my left eye starting to form. It quickly turned from a lovely lunch outing to “I can’t wait to GTFO here”.
Otherwise than that, I would definitely dine here again. Cheers!
Fantastic food, atmosphere and amazing and talented staff! Highly recommend and would go again if lived closer!
Excellent service. Delicious food. Hands down best homemade pasta anywhere. Chef Julian and team know what they’re doing!
Great food, excellent service and beautiful restaurant. Would absolutely recommend for any special occasion!
Absolutely the best dining experience in Baltimore. It is a perfect spot for a date or a special occasion. We come here to celebrate everything, and we’ve never had a bad meal! The service is excellent, and the menu offers seasonal items which are super fresh and unique.
This Italian restaurant is the best in Baltimore! Outstanding!! Grazie Mille!!
Great food and great service as always!
Great meal! Food was delicious. Charming outdoor dining area. Everything we ordered did not disappoint. Will be back.
This is a "mixed" review and our first visit to Tagliata. Food quality overall was very good but choices were relatively limited. Meatball appetizer was decent; mixed green salads were OK but unspectacular. Main course: Wife had the Chicken Parm which was outstanding and would cause us to return. Mine was a half portion size of lobster and pasta in red sauce (a tad too spicy) but the pasta itself and the chunks of lobster were in the "special" category. For wife's birthday, Tagliata gave her a piece of Tiramisu (with candle). Very excellent! and we ordered a portion of gelato (3 flavors, all good) with the chocolate being very special if you like chocolate.
The dinner was on a Tuesday evening, but the place was quite busy and the meal took quite a while. That wasn't a "bad" thing, as we sought a leisurely dinner, but we sensed that the wait staff and the kitchen were somewhat overwhelmed. Of course the corona virus has had an adverse effect on many restaurants.
Lastly, the excessive noise level for most of the two and a half hour dinner detracted from the dining experience. Perhaps at fast food and every day dining establishments, extremely loud conversations and yelling are acceptable, but at upper level dining establishments it shouldn't be. Don't know what Tagliata can do to insure a quiet dining experience.
Upon arrival, there was no greeting when we entered the courtyard and we peeked into the door on the right to find the host stand which was unattended for several minutes. The host did not return and a server ended up seating us. After that, everything was great! Our server was very bubbly and engaging and knew the menu well. Our meal was fantastic and the cocktails were perfect. I will definitely be back!
Valet signs up but no valet available.
My main comment is that if you are at one of the many hotels in the Baltimore back bay area and want dinner late, choices get limited. This is definitely a good choice for the late diner who wants to avoid bad food or squadrons of the inebriated. It is very busy on a warm summer night but the food is good, the service is definitely attentive and helpful and the prices are not outrageous. I had the risotto and while not true fine Italian dining was definitely well-prepared, nice mushrooms, good flavor; my beet salad was excellent, fresh, and beautifully presented. My dinner companion enjoyed the chicken Parm very much and that was a generous serving and looked great. As said, if you search in Baltimore you may find better, I would not know, but landing in an airplane and wanting a decent dinner when most were no longer serving or "soon to close," this was indeed a very good choice and recommended.
