The food was phenomenal! The chef came out twice to check on us. Wait staff was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend the short ribs, buffalo flatbread, and chicken and waffles.

We went before a concert. The food was delicious. Top picks are the Jalapeno poppers, Pork belly skewers, and the Truffle fries. The only downside was that the server we had did not seem interested in doing his job that day. Every request we had seemed to be above what he was willing to do. Mind you, we only asked for the table to be wiped off where he, himself made a mess with one of the drinks and for the empty glasses and plates to be removed from the table. The manager seemed to agree with us and offered to remove some of the charges, but when it was time to close the check, he was nowhere to be found. I would return for the food, but the service needs work.

My wife and REALLY LOVED coming to Taffer’s! This was our second visit to Taffer’s in DC it is in a perfect location next to Capital One Arena where we are delighted to say we are going to Taffer’s for now on when we go to concerts and Wizards games at Capital One Arena. This is a beautiful restaurant with plenty of tvs, fresh beers on tap, and beautifully crafted drinks and food. We love the location and where it is located. There are several parking garages nearby for parking and it is in an easy to walk to area as well. My wife and I have our favorite meals now of days with truffle fries, I love the Taffer’s Burger and my wife and son love the chicken and waffles! The food was absolutely perfect and full of flavor, they are super fast on bringing out the food so you’re not sitting around hungry or in a rush to get to your concert of game. This place is a must go to in DC! My wife and I have already booked our next data at Taffer’s next week for our anniversary dinner date before the Usher concert at Capital One Arena!

We had reservations at 9:30pm. We arrived it was literally no one in the restaurant. There was a reason why; but hold on, I will get to that. We were greeted, and sat in good time. We ordered the $22 drink samples, which were horrible!!!! After we ordered the salmon cakes (which were store bought) they stated they were homemade, they weren’t. Ordered PB&J dessert, which was a complete waste of money. Needless to say this summarized why the restaurant was empty. Customer service was top tier BUT thats about it. More then likely will never go back again.

My first time at Taffer and I'll definitely come again. Some of the best service I've had at a restaurant in a while. I went there right before the Missy Elliot concert so it was packed and they were play are her hits along with songs from 90s and 00s. My server was great, the drinks were so creative and good. I got the spinach artichoke dip and it was delicious just a tad bit salty. I went to the restroom and my friend said the manager stopped at the table to check on us and see how our experienced was. If you every thought about coming here, don't hesitate.

Everything was great. From our starter to desert was so scrumptious! The portions were perfect and the presentation a work of art. Jessica, our server, was amazing! Always smiling and we never had to remind Jessica anything about our order and drinks - she was amazing!!! The Chef came by our table 2x and took the time to talk about the food and our experience. We recommend Taffer’s Tavern 200%. It will become your new favorite spot, it is for us 🤗

I enjoyed the meal at Taffers, but my only complaint was there were numerous gnats and flies flying around our table. We were continuous swatting them away from our drinks and food. This did not make for the most pleasant experience. But it was bad either. We would revisit again and hope the insect problem is not as bad.

It was an ok experience. The restaurant was bizarrely empty. Service was slow and peculiar. Food was ok though my salad had way too much dressing on it. Maybe it was an off night. Not bad but not great.
