The music could be better but great food and drinks
This establishement is overrated. Getting a waiter to take our orders took forever and we were barely paid any attention to.
All depends on the waiter you Get. Our waiter we continuously had to get his attention.
The Lobsters was fantastic!!! The bottle service was Excellent also!
Fun party dinner for our last night in Tulum. DJ was fun and played a great variety.

Great lunch! Loud party of young girls celebrating at the next table. After lunch we asked to move to a swing 10 feet away. The waiter said yes and shortly after we sat down a manager or someone told us we had to pay $103 ea to sit on the swing or stay. Not worth it

Best party on the beach. Hella expensive. There’s a huge minimum $1500 USD / $30000 MX per table. You can only use $900 USD / $18000 MX towards your bill. We did it anyway and had the most incredible time.
Love the atmosphere. Manager junior ensured my birthday dinner was an enjoyable experience.

Taboo Tulum was definitely an experience. The music was good and the food and drinks were good. It was birthday and the waiter was aware but forgot about the special birthday cake. Otherwise the service was good. The staff definitely made the guest fell welcome. Not many people wore mask while dinning. If you’re visiting Tulum it is definitely a tourist hot spot.
Its important for black people to feel welcomes in luxury spaces and Taboo delivers everytime. The staff is so hospitable and entertaining. I love coming here!
Food never arrived; missed half of the order. Drinks arrived half way after dinner. Our waiter disappeared. Had to flag someone down to order and then flag 3 times again to get our meals and drinks. Waiter told me a 20% tip was mandatory. Finally spoke to a manager who helped. Stay away from here.

I’m from Baltimore and had my birthday dinner. Here and it was amazing. A lot of energy and fun. They showed a lot of Birthday luv. I appreciate it. Bravo taboo.

Waited an hour to finally get drinks ordered appetizers and ate them and the drinks still had not come. Left and didn't order the meal because service was so poor. There also was no evidence that they followed any COVID protocols. Had to ask to switch tables when they basically put someone on almost right on top of us.
The wine list has nothing to do with what they actually have. After you choose the wine, they offer you another kind, obviously more expensive. Which is not even represented in the menu! The second choice is also not available. Traveling around the world, when this happens, you feel yourself kind of fooled...
Also, at some point 3 servers are taking care of your table, and then nobody would stop by in an hour to check on you...
Otherwise, food is awesome and ambiance is good!
Paying $500 USD for 2 people, we expect more honest and consistent service!
It was a very disorganized place when we enter it. The reservation was not ready and the instructions for what to do next were not clear at all.
We needed to pay upfront a fee of 2000 MXN pesos per person, and it was not clear what it covered if food, drinks, or just a fee as a cover to enter the place. We needed to ask several times for clarification, and we speak Spanish. I cannot imagine a non-native speaker.
I expected a better way of treating customers and a much-organized place.
When we finally came to the table, the waiter was not wearing a proper mask and just a plastic shield, btw not well adjusted.
The only good thing was the food. But I know you can find the same quality without all the discomfort of the entrance and not following the covid precautions.
Food was below average and overpriced. Cocktails weren’t nice.
It was busy so service is very slow, we had to chase a few times for our hookah.
The place is lively if you are looking for a supper club or Vegas/Miami hot spot however it’s not worth the price point.
Downside is we also parked at the valet parking at the restaurant, after our dinner the Valet had lost our car keys along with another guest. We waited 2 hours without our rental car keys and then the solution was to take a taxi home and hopefully the next day they will contact us with our keys or a locksmith with cut new keys. Still waiting!!
Overall wouldn’t recommend this place for dinner.
Food is absolutely terrible and the service took us 1 1/2 hrs to get our food. The lamb chops werent even cooked meduim well like we asked it was completely rare. The pasta wasnt even cooked in our rigatoni a la vodka. The Only good part was the violinist but if you have plans after definitely skip this place. Also theres absolutely Zero corona restrictions at this place and completely 100% packed at capacity.
Amazing place to enjoy, good food, good place to people watch, good staff, had a wonderful time with my date and definitely will be back.
Taboo tiene un muy buen ambiente, su comida no es tan buena como otros restaurantes de la cadena, y el costo de acceso es excesivo y la atención es deficiente y muy lenta, aún cuánto ya pagaste la mesa tardan eternidades para atenderte y dejarte pasar, a mi parecer tienen muy mala organización.
En general la visita fue regular

We spent New Year’s Day at Taboo! We had a blast. Great energy, service and value. Definitely the best beach club we went to during our trip!
Our waiter Andres was amazing! Such an amazing service and amazing food! I recommend the fish ceviche!!!
If you have a day that you want to have fun then taboo is a must!
