Une expérience culinaire extraordinaire.
Une excellent prix pour la quantité et la qualité de la nourriture.
Je le recommande à n'importe tous
Very expensive and luxurious experience. Outstanding service. A once in a lifetime meal!
This place is expensive, but if you crave truly authentic Japanese service with amazingly fresh and tasty sushi---don't miss it!
Fantastic on every metric. Looking forward to a second visit.
A little disappointed. The lunch omakase felt really rushed. The sushi chef got our order wrong. 3 of us ordered the 15 piece omakase and 2 ordered the 13. He switched it up. We got 2 rounds of the bonito. However, the extra o-toro was nice.
Brilliant first time experience of omakase for the uninitiated. Service was exceptional and the staff was very friendly and forthcoming with conversations and not very "snooty" like in typical Michelin restaurants.
Absolutely the best sushi in NYC. And I’ve tried them all.
The best sushi experience in New York City. Everything was excellent, from the moment we entered the restaurant we were welcomed and greeted by the hostess with respect. She took our coats and showed us to our sears. The meal experience was also amazing as the sushi chefs were cooking right in front of view and as every separate course out of 20 that came out the waitress showed us a picture of the fish ok an iPad. The sushi 🍣 was presented and tasted very good and the whole experience was amazing. The sake choices were also excellent and everyone treated us with respect. They even put a candle on the desert for my wife’s birthday and have us Champaign to celebrate. As we left the chef and other members greeted us and siD goodbye. Overall perfect experience
Perfect. Except for those who confirm reservations in the concierge. She's very rough. But the quality of the food and the chef makes me forget everything.
As always, the food, service, and attention to detail were exquisite.
Visited at Lunch. Perfect technic and service.
Very professional and traditional.
Felt like I was in Japan.
Great service and one of the beat omakase
I had so far.
Great quality fish. Amazing time.
Everything excellent aside of the fact that nigiri need to be improved.
You have a certain level of expectation when a lunch costs more than $100. The service was top notch. The food was excellent. For a restaurant known for high end authentic Japanese cuisine with the name Ginza and with a Michelin star, I was actually disappointed when our Omakase sushi chef was Chinese who didn’t speak Japanese. I have nothing against non-Japanese sushi chef. I’m sure he is well trained and approved by the owner but we’re talking about commitment to authenticity. This is not all-you-can eat sushi deal from Groupon. There is a reason we go to Sushi Ginza Onodera and spend such amount of money. It’s about honoring the spirit and delicacy of authentic sushi experience. It’s the same reason that I go to a Mexican restaurant to buy tacos and buy a $800 leather shoes made in Italy. This sounds worse than the actual experience but I felt my expectation was slightly betrayed.
The food was so good!!!! It was so fresh and so delicious. The lunch menu definitely worths trying. The sushi was the same quality when you go for the dinner. Best omakase ever.
Chef Kazu was amazing and very attentive. The attention to details was amazing and the quality of sushi was delicious. Highly recommended if coming back.
The quality of the product is outstanding and the service is discreet but efficient. The care in handling the product by the chefs show deep knowledge and passion
Amazing upto par with Masa. The service was amazing. The sake and Japanese whiskies also phenomenal
Me and my wife had a great time on our visit to Ginza Onodera, the service was top notch and so was the food. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and it is very probably that it might be our goto spot for all her birthdays moving forward. The best part was our chef (forgot to ask his name) knew Cantonese, so he could tell my wife what fish it was so she could know what she was eating and it made the experience so much better for her.
Chef was a nice man but could not communicate with us. We had no idea what we were eating on most of the courses. Overall the food was not what I expected from other sushi establishment of that caliber
Sushi Ginza Onodera was absolutely from form start to finish. Every minute detail of food preparation is wonderfully carried out in front of our eyes and the end result is fabulous sushi! I can’t say enough great things about Sushi Ginza Onodera and we look forward to our next dinner!
Overpriced but elegant and beautiiful.
The experience was top notch. The service was very attentive. Every drop you make onto the table, a staff will come and attend to it. The course was delicious. When I made a special request for a specific ingredient, they incorporated into the omakase, even though it's supposed to be the chef's choice. At this restaurant, the appetizers in the omakase are where the course shines; for the nigiri, I have had better elsewhere. The red vinegar used for the rice makes it very loose so the nigiri falls apart very easily. The staff is very friendly and made our experience very enjoyable. It was fun interacting with the head chef; he even posed with his long blade in our pictures. You will definitely splurge a bit here but definitely would recommend to try the Edomae style sushi this restaurant offers.
Good food，price is a little bit high
The best quality/value sushi omakase in the city!
However, fourth time back and some things were different this time around:
-Hostess was very abrupt and unfriendly. This was fine but add the fact that she provided no instruction as to what was happening at any given time (we’re going to put you at this table to wait while your other seats are being prepared, follow me, etc) it was a bizarre experience
-A few misses on some of the nigiri, with hard to chew tendons, rice falling apart, uneven cuts, etc
-Ocha is $5 per cup — no refills
Still enjoyed my experience overall, but have had better at Sushi Ginza Onodera!
Coming from Cali and doing multiple omakase seatings around the globe - this meal didn’t stand out - and neither did the price tag of $700+ for two. Would not return
Went back again for business and each time it gets better> best sushi in NYC
Service is great
Everything was wonderful
Nice and calming ambiance really set the mood to enjoy an relaxing meal at Ginza Onodera.
Service was great and attentive, the chef was very informative on all the pieces he prepared.
However, for a Two Michelin stars establishment, the skills and techniques not up to par! One basic thing and that shouldn't have happened was the rice of the sushi fell apart in my hand on quite a FEW times!
As a sushi lover and I have been to many omakase, I found the quality was just okay not great.
Don't get me wrong, it was still pretty good omakase with all the fishes they serve flown in from Japan.
It is expensive, but the non tipping policy is a delightful surprise when we get the bill. Another nice touch was the chefs came out to the door to greet and thank you when you exit the restaurant.
Amazing, best Omakase in nyc
Winch a wonderful place ! I have been to several Michelin 3 stars but none of the restaurant makes me feel like this. Bravo !!!
Attentive staff. Skillful sushi chefs. Top ingredients. These combine to offer an unforgettable dining experience. The only equivalent sushi experience in NYC today is Masa. The lunch omakase is a bargain for what you get.
Great service & exceptional sushi !!
One o the best omakase in NYC
Amazing restaurant that is worth it for a special occasion.
Its a good sushi restaurant but far off from the one in Japan. If you have anything allergic, they do mot give you any replacement, you will simply have one less dish to eat which is unlike the shop in Japan. While the seafood is fresh but its not top-notch. For NY, i think its acceptable but compared to other countries, its “ok” only. Service from the chefs are great but not from the server who will reach over you to pour your water and will bump into your seat.
Spectacular on every level. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Everything is prepared with deftness and finesse. The attention to detail is exceptional. Was equally impressed by the unique glassware and porcelain accents. More than superior. Sublime.
