This was our second dinner at St. Germain's. This time we had too many issues and so cannot recommend the restaurant to others. We ordered French onion soup as a starter. One of our soups had a five inch long piece of string or something in it, which the server said was a LONG woody stem from some herb like thyme. Without asking, the kitchen sent a replacement bowl of the same soup but without the distressing inclusion. By then of course, our enthusiasm for the soup was nearly zero and when the waiter and the maitre d both separately came to our table to make a joke out of the soup problem, we started to feel upset. The rib-eye steaks were cooked properly. However, we had ordered garlic mash and fries instead of the baked potato that comes standard. We were charged extra for these choices - (first time ever that fries cost extra) - and the server forgot to mention the extra charges. The fries were not thoroughly cooked (hard in the centre), but by now we did not want to say anything. The peppercorn sauce had no peppercorn flavour and seemed to instead be a jus with a few peppercorns added before serving. Importantly, we also ordered the Buffalo cauliflower house specialty that the server strongly recommended as his favourite side dish. It was a real disappointment. The cauliflower is heavily breaded, coated with hot sauce, then deep fried and covered in blue cheese chunks. Sounds great. But we discovered that the smell and flavour of the dish completely overwhelmed the steaks and thereby detracted from the meal. Neither of us ate a second bite of the cauliflower and we placed it as far away from us as was possible on the table. In the end, the meal for two cost over $200 with the tip and without any drinks or taxes. We won't be back, as we had high expectations for a romantic meal and this one wasn't good enough.

Our server was amazing and the night was wonderful, we adored our booth! The only thing was that the fat wasn’t rendered from the prime rib, so the texture was unpleasant. Although this was disappointing our steak was cooked perfectly. Overall the food was delicious.

Server Kevin was excellent. Prime Rib tonight was not so great. Tons of fat and not fall apart like usual. I'll order it again as I always have it but tonight wasn't great. Other diners at our table had the Burgers and they were phenomenal. Rave for the burgers. Steak ordered at table was good as well. Just the Prime Rib was sad tonight.

My lobster arrived at my table not cooked Had to wait 20 minutes for a new meal. My spouse ate while I waited for my meal and my husband waited while I ate. Not a positive experience this time

I love dining at St Germans. I have been staying at the resort for 6 nights and have been dining there every night. Service is fantastic. Food is delicious. Price is great and quality is amazing. I recommend it to everyone.

We arrived early and were accommodated efficiently. This was not our first visit, and as before enjoyed the experience. St. Germaine’s acknowledged that it was my wife’s birthday which added o our dining experience. This one of our favorite restaurants and highly recommend it.
