A perfect dining experience. Easy reservation, Great location, easy parking, good table great menu. Not cheap but rather value for money. No pressure to leave once finished. I’ll be back!!
Thanks guys for a memorable breakfast. The Matcha Panacotta was exquisite and always love the ambiance and the decor. Thanks again!
It was a very instagram-worthy cafe. The food/venue looked really pretty but the taste/quality of the food/drinks which we ordered werent very impressive. Especially when we traveled down to this place purposefully to try the food after the raves.
Service was not great as well, only a young lady who served us enthusiastically was worth mentioning. There was a server there with her bun kept at the top of her head who treated us like we were nothing. Straight face with not so good attitude, not going back.
There was one waitress who was dark and tall who was FOB looking who was disgustingly rude and I will never set foot back into the social hideout parramatta if she is still employed there. So think wisely
If I must be completely honest the social hideout is for photoes and coffee. The atmosphere is great but the food isn’t I ordered for my 2 girls the somehow popular tub drinks with the ice cream and fresh cream with fairy floss on top and they cudnt have more than 2 sips and they love their sweets and drinks so for them to not want it was a shock! I also ordered the smashed avo with poached eggs I paid $19 wasn’t happy about the price for the what I received it was only 1 thin medium piece of sourdough let’s just say I had a very upset tummy afterwards it was drenched with lemon I would have preferred to squeeze my own lemon as a option which was funny they actually had a lemon wedge on the plate so why add extra lemon? The coffee was good so if I return will be for a coffee and photoes only .
Got there at 10:10 was told we had the table until 11:40. They took 20 mins to take our order. Our coffees arrived slowly one by one. Each person finishes theirs before the other got theirs. Took 45 mins until 11:15 to get out food. My avocado on toast was soggy and eggs undercooked. Asked for a refund.
Very slow and horrible food overall.
Very disappointed
We all really enjoyed our brunch at Social Hideout. The taste and presentation of the food was outstanding. We only wish there was one in the Sutherland Shire.
Staff were rude and unwelcoming. Even though we had a reservation for 3 pax. We were placed on a table for 2 and told we had a limited dining time. We were on the end of a group table and on the edge. I showed our booking and they said only let people sit inside if they have bookings... yes, we did have a booking. After this, we had to order 3 times as the forgot out order and kept coming over to confirm the order. And then orders were mixed up. We asked for water, they said get it yourself. Unfortunrelty, we felt unwelcomed and like we were an inconnivenance. Will not be back and will not recommend
Been here once before and had a good experience. Came here for my birthday with my family. The tables and walls were very worn out and tattered, not nearly as nice as it is made to look on Instagram. We had to stare down servers to get there attention. The food was average and the mojito my sister ordered, “tasted like cordial.” The food came out really staggered and no one even bothered to say happy birthday. What’s the point of asking what the occasion is if you don’t at least do that? Probably won’t be coming back a third time.
Such a gorgeous looking cafe with great ambiance, and the area that it is in is secluded to everything else which I love. The food is delicious and amazing and also quick service. Only thing is that they ran out of tea pots due to how busy they were.
Awesome Cafe, we have been going here for the last 6 years and still always succeed in great service and amazing food. Christina your are absolutely lovely and your service is just great. Keep it up SH
Booked three weeks in advance only to be told that no table was reserved. Was directed to seating for a group that cancelled in front of us then later told that the table was meant for us. When booking, no indication stating that you had to note that you wanted to be sat inside. Didn't accomodate for freezing weather (no cover for outside). However, food looks exactly how it was advertised.
Came here for my birthday with 2 friends. Service was good, food was not bad, however we all had to send back the hot drinks as when we got them they were cold. 2nd time round was better.
Very busy and pretty place. glad we booked. We were seated enough for 2 people , and they only had enough cutlery for 2 of us , and only 1 napkin to share .
Might try it again
Very friendly staff. They would happily take your photos. Food was good.
We were drawn to the Parramatta cafe due to its beautiful Instagram photos however we were overall quite disappointed. The cafe has beautiful decorations but the overall look of the cafe is let down greatly by the lack of uniform of the staff. The two female wait staff were simply wearing gym tights and hoodies with no cafe logo or anything to indicate that they were even staff (e.g. no aprons). They were quite distant and I don't recall seeing any of them smile which made the service seem cold. You'd think that if the company was putting so much effort into making their cafe's pretty they'd put some effort into completing the look by giving their staff awesome uniforms (or just any uniforms to begin with). Now, the food.. the food is "pretty" but pretty does not equal tasty food. My friend got the green french toast and every item on the plate had the same soft squishy texture. No contrast in flavour or textures - just sweet sludge. I got a burger which was standard and my other friend got the barramundi. The prices are good and that's about the only positive. You can get some nice photos against the floral walls but you'd be better off going to the Grounds of Alexandria if you're just after photos for the 'gram.
Fabulous venue, food was sensational. Great place to visit.
Delicious food that looks insta worthy. Overall, service is alright. Despite making a reservation they had initially sat us at a really weird seating arrangement but they found us an alternative after a little fuss. Other than that, food was amazing and can’t really fault it.
Great food but my opentable reservation did not go through to their system so when we showed up they did not have a table for us and we had to wait. When we sat down we were not given any menus and continually had to get up to ask the staff to serve us.
Social Hideout is a extremely nice and aesthetic restaurant serving delightful foods. However, my only concern is the price, I believe that Social Hideout might not be worth the amount of money being paid for meals. When considering the burgers they taste quite decent but I understand the proportion served is quite big. Despite this, the price could be cheaper and more affordable as twenty dollars for a burger or salad definitely isn't worth the money especially, considering the amount of fast food restaurants wiling to serve the same but of less quality for five dollars.
Wonderful food and super fun atmosphere. Well worth the hype
The food was really average. My hot cakes were stale and hard!
Food and flowerwall are nicely presented but breakfast here is nothing special. Unfortunately. At all.
Coffee was terrible. (I’m not even picky)
Flavours and ingredients are plain and basic and (below) average. Dukkah was 90% sesame seeds - no spice flavour. Smashed avo was brown, melted and indistinguishable as avocado.
Sad to say this brunch spot is unbelievably overrated.
