Nos hicieron esperar cerca de 20 minutos y nadie nos atendia. Demorado el servicio. La ensalada no muy buena pero la pasta y postre si.

Fuimos por nuestro aniversario y nos encantó el lugar, fuimos a la hora del brunch los cócteles estaban deliciosos y la comida también, el ambiente muy acogedor

Se come en la calle o en una sala semiabierta a la calle. Las mesas no estan limpias. La comida y el servicio aceptables. La relación calidad-precio bastante pobre.

I made a reservation here due to the reviews of other diners. I was not bowled over at all. The service was sketchy at best and the food was good but not worth the money in my opinion. The ambiance was very cool but thats not important to me. I rather have very good food and a server who didn’t seem harried. The wine was good. About a 5 or 6 out of ten for me.

Saltine in Norfolk was far from what we had hoped for. While the restaurant projects an air of sophistication, the food does not measure up. I ordered the fried whole Snapper, which lacked any freshness or flavor. It was bland and soggy, certainly not what you’d expect from a seafood dish. My wife’s Blackened Rockfish was so heavily salted it was nearly impossible to enjoy. My daughter’s fillet mignon was overdone and lacking the tenderness you'd expect for the price. The entire meal, from the tasteless She-crab soup to the stale bread, was a letdown. Given the steep prices, we anticipated something far better. On a positive note, the service was attentive, and the staff were friendly. However, no amount of good service can make up for food that simply misses the mark. If you’re looking for quality dining in Norfolk, I suggest looking elsewhere. Saltine tries to impress, but the execution leaves much to be desired.

My wife and I have dined here several times and have enjoyed it. This past Sunday our experience was below our expectations. My wife ordered the she crab soup and found very little crab in it. We mentioned it to the supervisor who offered to change it to New England clam chowder chowder (which my wife doesn’t like); so she just said “sorry “ and didn’t remove it. I ordered a glass of wine and while drinking it, my wife noticed that the glass had a big crack in it. I mentioned it to our server, Lindsey, who poured the wine (with possible glass chards in it) into another glass and gave it back to me! I ordered the 5 oysters Rockerfeller’s an appetizer and was served one regularly sized oyster , three very small oysters and one minuscule oyster. I had the red snapper and my wife the short ribs as entrees which we enjoyed.

One of the worst experience’s I’ve ever had at Saltine. Appetizers came out fast and then waited over 1.5 hrs for main course while others sat down and served and left before we got our food. Server mixed up orders, gave wrong drink and then handed me someone else’s card at end. On top of that charged extra $10 for parking due to waiting over 1 and a half hours for food.

I started with oysters on the half shell. Delicious! Then I had the crabcakes with a side salad. Although tasty, the crabcakes had a bit more filling than I like. The waitress was friendly, professional and attentive. Loved the atmophere. Will definitely return.
