Welcoming greeting from manager to an outstanding server. Birthday celebration was met with complementary champagne, ordered Sunset drinks and appetizers and then to delightful oysters and seafood for dinner and finished with complementary birthday dessert. Staff met every dining need without asking for ANYTHING...Menu has really expanded since our last visit which is wonderful and looking forward to our next visit!

It’s a serene setting. It was quite smoky from the large indoor grill & took awhile for the intensity of the smoke to ease up. Our server was friendly. She seemed to be stretched for time & service. Unfortunately, the Ceasar salad had quite a bit of grit in it, which I’m guessing was from sand in the lettuce. There were a couple mishaps with regards to wine ordering. A Sauv Blanc was served instead of a Chardonnay & the 2nd glass didn’t arrive until after I was done eating. But, she did end up comping the 2nd glass due to its late arrival, which was appreciated. Nice atmosphere, noise level is not overwhelming.

Busy night. Servers definitely had their tables and hands full. Our table of four: had to remind waiter of bread order. Once arrived the bread was devoured because it's delicious! We had one dinner come out 20min before others, so by the time he was done eating we were just getting started. Side dishes arrive 15mins before mains and didnt keep their heat. Beef fat potatoes were not crispy at all and tasted gritty, home microwaved at best. Returned. Corriander carrots were an excellent replacement. Staff was nice and accommodating.

I booked a reservation for my wife's birthday. We had come to this location many years ago when it was a different restaurant and we were very pleasantly surprised when we walked in. We were immediately greeted and welcomed in. The hostess brought up my reservation and knew it was for my wife's birthday. The restaurant is light and spacious and you can get a very faint whiff of wood smoke which is warm and inviting. Our server Key was absolutely superb. She made our dining experience really nice. Her recommendations and knowledge of drinks and food were excellent. The oysters were cleanly shucked and delicious. The Gilroy garlic clams were amazing (my wife is not particularly a fan of clams and she thought they were delicious). For our entrees, my wife had the duck and I had the ribeye and our sides were the cassoulet and wild mushrooms and potatoes. Everything was cooked perfectly and fabulous. For dessert, Key brought out a special ice cream with a chocolate "happy birthday" and candle. It was just a fantastic experience from start to finish and we will definitely return.

Amazing amazing restaurant. Me and my girlfriend never go out to restaurants usually but tonight we wanted something special. I opened up maps and looked around for restaurants near the beach (we live in gilroy) I landed in Marina and the first restaurant I saw was salt wood. I checked reviews, it all checked the box’s. We absolutely loved the dry aged prime rib. We also loved the lobster pasta, it was so delicious. The waiter was sooo cool and made us feel confident in what we were ordering. Ambiance 10/10. Just over all a amazing little spot. Definitely check it out !!

On point! Went for my sister's birthday, and from the hostess to the waitress just perfect. The drinks were well balanced and the food well balanced.
