El Sage Room at Harvey's ha sido un lugar de interés Tahoe desde su apertura en 1947. El The Sage Room es un asador con una decoración inspirada en las películas del oeste.                     La carne es malísima, nada que ver con un steakhouse y esta carísimo pera lo que es. Lugar pretencioso.

                    Pedi in Ribeye steak, y me trajeron cualquier otro corte de carne ( no estaba malo) pero no era Ribeye. No tenía “eye” y tampoco Spinalis! Era un pedazo de carne de otro lugar del animal!! Si vas a cobrar 60 dólares por un corte de carne hay que entregar el producto correcto!! Se avisó al mesero al respecto de nuestra disconformidad pero hizo caso omiso!

                    The Sage Room used to be one of our favorite restaurants. We have been coming to the Sage Room for over three decades. Every since the Top of the Wheel was closed. We unfortunately don’t live as close as we used to, so our last visit was two years ago. We saw that Harvey’s was doing a lot of renovations to their casino/resort. We also found that a lot of changes to the Sage Room’s menu. Old favorites like “Spinach Salad for two”, my wife’s favorites “Steak Diane”, and the dessert of flambé berries over ice cream are gone. My wife even asked the server if there was a “secret menu “. The server said that the menu was changed about ten months ago. They also said the menu was going to become more seasonal. I had the filet and my wife had the scallops with risotto. For dessert we had the banana fosters. The food was delicious. The view was amazing as it has been since the Sage Room moved from the casino floor to the top floor. We hope that the manager, or other leadership staff, in charge of the Sage Room don’t kill the Sage Room for another “celebrity chef” restaurant and the view that the Sage Room has.

                    Told the staff that we were celebrating a birthday. Had to tell them again at the end of the meal. Waitress did not come back to the table after the check was dropped off. I had to give the payment to Bill.

                    My wife and I dined at The Sage Room for the first time. We felt like we went back in time, to a place of incredible service, perfect food and maybe one of the best dinner views on Planet Earth. We appreciated Jeremy for his knowledge of the menu and timing our courses perfectly. Armando was attentive with water and drink refills and extremely courteous in his actions. My wife had a perfectly cooked Prime Rib with a sweet carrot and I had Pan seared Sea Bass with beautiful Brussel Sprouts, and we shared gnocchi mac and cheese. The Prisoner Red Zin was a generous pour and our dining experience was topped off with a Chocolate banana dessert that was amazing.

                    Great service, and food with a view spectacular. Unfortunately, a medical emergency arose with a patron at table next to us. I immediately attempted the situation. Management alerted hotel security that alerted EMT. The episode blocked access to women’s restroom as EMT attended the emergency. I ended up tending to direct use of female patrons to use of men’s restroom asking men to allow its use. Restaurants Management no where in site. I stayed to make sure emergency was successfully handled. Asked manager about the lack of response by management. Her response was the restaurant policy was to remain as hands off as possible. Grateful the situation was positive for the ill patron. My family’s departure was delayed which was not a major issue, but not even a thank you from management until I brought it to her attention. I think management needs some policy adjustment and sensitivity training.

                    Slow service, server was nice just seemed understaffed in general. French onion soup was good. Ceaser salad was wilted and not good, sent back. Steak was good, “shareable” size very small portions.
