The place is packed for a reason, food is delicious and service is really good. Was my first time, but won’t be the last one.
Such a pleasant surprise in South Arlington.
Spectacular food. Unique. Loud, but it’s not a fine dining joint.
We had a very attentive, knowledgeable waiter. We enjoyed our food and spent quite a bit of time chatting after dinner, but never felt pressured to leave despite the place being quite busy. We’ll definitely be back.
Enjoyed our dinner at Ruthie's All-Day. Corn bread was fab. Noise level is loud.
Absolutely our favorite restaurant in Arlington! Had a friend visiting and went as a group of 5. The food is always delicious. Service is wonderful.
Ordered the brisket, greebs and mac and cheese. Brisket was moist and tender. Excellent and a lot if it. Greens were flavorful, nit mushy. Mac and cheese excellent. Prices very reasonable. My new favorite restaurant.
Outstanding food. My only complaint is that I would prefer some additional options for the sides. I would strongly recommend and will be returning.
This is our one of our favorite, family-friendly neighborhood spots.
1st experience at Ruthie's. Will be back for more brisket sandwiches & quinoa salads.
This is our second visit and we are sure to go back soon. The food is excellent, we’ll-priced and portions are huge. Also they have an extensive gluten-free menu. Definitely a winner.
Absolutely delicious meal!! I had the salmon, Brussels and Mac/cheese which were phenomenal! We came for the bourbon peach cobbler which we learned is only seasonal so we got the apple cobbler instead….did not disappoint!! Service was great, also. We sat at the bar and had a wonderful evening. Would definitely come again next time we’re in town!
Thank you so much for the wonderful service!
Ruthie's All Day is a very lush and bright spot in the south Arlington dining landscape.
The brisket is some of the BEST I've ever had, and Chef Matt's menu is a terrific upscale spin on classic southern BBQ. And Todd runs a very efficient and friendly front of the house.
The Brisket Bennie is an innovative BBQ twist on a brunch classic. My Bloody Mary had plenty of "punch" and just enough zing.
Trust... it's a foodie's delight!
Ruthie's never disappoints. Can't decide on savory or sweet brunch entre? Get a savory one and order the donuts with your meal! Perfect solution.
Brunch menu served on Columbus/Indigenous Day so we had devilled eggs, brisket hash and fried chicken on a biscuit. This is the 3rd/4th time I've had Ruthie's food and it never disappoints. This was my first time eating inside (vs outside or carryout). Nice and open and good social distancing. Service and food pacing was good...eggs came first, then the hash and chicken biscuit. Hash had LOTS of moist and tender smoked brisket cubes with cubes of potato, butternut squash, brussels sprouts and onions. Fried chicken has always been perfectly cooked...moist breast, honey mustard on the most tender biscuit I've ever had. Everything was delicious and reheated well at home (we had leftovers) and tasted just as good the next day.
I would say reservations are required on weekends (couldn't get in once so got carry out). Didn't need reservation for Monday brunch but dining rooms and patio were about 80% full.
We have been habitual diners at Ruthie’s since they opened & WAAAAAY before the non-stop accolades started coming…
It is all about the food those collards with smoked tomatoes are worthy of buying by the gallon; the meats are sublimely smoked & buttery.
Let’s talk Butterscotch Pudding! And the Smoked Chocolate Cookies! And their Apple Cobbler playing with saltiness, natural sweetness of the apples loving the spices.
Also, look at the wine list!!!!!!
I’m pretty sure our waiter forgot to put our order in. We waited well over an hour for our food. We had ordered several sides and a salad so nothing complicated. The tables around us changed over multiple times while we were there. There seemed to be ample staff so don’t believe it was a staffing issue.
Though the food was good once we received it.
I’ll consider this an off-shoot and give it another chance.
Great place with down home food (with a twist) to get together with friends and family.
The food is amazing. Everything is fresh and such a great value.
Sat up at the bar and it was perfect!
Another amazing night at Ruthie’s—the special bone-in beef short rib with horseradish creme fraiche was to die for. The place was hopping on a Saturday night be we were seated promptly and the service was excellent. We were inside and it is quite loud—I know they are awaiting a carpet for the concrete floor, and I hope it comes soon! But it’s not keeping us away, that’s for sure.
We sat outside and it was very nice! The food is delicious.
First time dining outdoors very comfortable and attentive waiters. Food is always outstanding.
This was my second try for Ruthie’s and all I have to say is I still believe it’s overrated. Very crowded. Very noisy. Our waiter was great. The food was fine (bacon and eggs) but nothing special. I previously had the apple pie pancakes- awful, doughy pile of pancakes with what tasted like canned apple pie filling dumped on top. The biscuits? Dense and huge. Not nice and flaky. The best thing was the apple donuts (like ebelskivvers) with the homemade raspberry jam but apparently those are only available on weekends now. I may order some of those to go in the future. Otherwise no reason to go out of my way to eat here, especially if you’re seated inside.
Great food and service. Always.
Went for an anniversary dinner with my wife off of a recommendation from a friend. Was very happy with our experience and will definitely go back.
Very good and fast service with truly delicious servings.
Eating outside at Ruthies is great. Highly recommend the food and eating outdoors. However I don’t eat inside because noise level much too high.
The waiter was very rude!, We did not include the tip in the receipt because we were going to give it cash and he spoke badly to us as if the tip was mandatory, because he did not see the money that was on the table lol
Great food, friendly service, and an inviting ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!
Good service, good drinks, good apps, nice patio scene. My only issue was that the smoked pork was dry. For a restaurant where the smoked meats are front and center (literally on the menu), this is a problem.
We had the grilled octopus, which was excellent! So many tastes and textures! We also had the Farmer’s salad - delicious. We had the Wood fired Branzino with grits and slaw. It was superb, crispy skin, pretty spicy, but we like spicy food. We also had the Wood fired Duck. It was also very good. The sides with it were dirty rice and the smoky greens, both delicious. We split the butterscotch pudding, which was sweeeet and yummy.
