Service and food were good and as we were going to the Amadillo it was in a great location. Would definately go back
fantastic food, excellent staff very helpful and served fast, will defo be back
Raw rice served on chilli con carne, was offered no compensation, ruined the meal and my partner ended up with my daughters dessert for her main.
Good for a pre theatre meal but not the kind if place for your main night out. Food was nice but nothing special.
Good food (large potions) at reasonable prices , good friendly service, easy access to car park and good parking system. All in all a good dining experience.
Portion sizes were massive (including the kids menu) so much so none of us finished but food was delicious.
Service not the fastest so if pre-theatre leave plenty of time
Long que and only one person attending to them, 3rd in que and it took us 20 minutes to be seated and my dad who is nearly 90 had to stand and wait, had reservation and I really don't think that mattered as they seated ones without reservations before us, food was good but disappointed with service
Food was good - time waiting to eat it after ordering was far, far, far too long. I eventually asked for my starter and main course to be brought together because we were going to The Hydro and we're running out of time. Staff were lovely, attentive but the experience failed for me because of the time waiting for the food to be served.
Reasonable food and prices - venue nice enough - let down badly by poor service
Great location next to the ssec good food and polite service good value for money
Good value Pre theatre menu and free parking for the gig at the Hydro as well.
Food and service were good. Music a bit too loud for conversation...
Would recommend and visit again...
I booked a table for a party on 5 (2 adults and 3 children) We arrived and were told, have you not just arrived? We sat you over there (pointing to a table with 5 diners) I said clearly not as I was standing in front of the server. We there then ushered to a table which was dirty, in the corner and noisy as there was a few Christmas party nights on, unsuitable for our 2 youngest diners who were 4 and 6. We opted for the 2 course pre theatre menu that was limited in its choice. I had the Mozzarella sticks, which were cold. My son and husband had the haggis and black pudding balls, again cold in the centre. The children's chicken gougons were well done, well, burnt, and served the chips and no side dish such as peas or salad. I had the Chilli which was mediocre. The Bill totalled £90, I should have saved myself the trip and made dinner in the house. We were going to complain but they wouldn't have been able to hear us as it was so noisy and the service, apart from one friendly member of staff, was abysmal. Will not return and would not recommend.
was impressed with overall food and service as this was our first visit
Awful food prdered chilli beef nachos and came without guacamole and sour cream said to waiter who said non left then returned with whipped cream and blended lettuce🤢 would not recommend
Excellent service from all staff from the moment we arrived especially as it was a busy Saturday night they were all very attentive and made sure we were all happy with everything will definitely be back
When we arrived the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food wasn’t great I only ate half my burger as it was drowning in a huge pile of lettuce...the wine list is poor for a Glasgow restaurant it only had 2 options of white wine and no Prosecco or cava by the glass?? I guess for the set menu the value for money was fine and the service was good, we asked to turn the music down slightly as it suddenly got pumped it and it did.
Unfortunately I will not be back.
Fast efficient service, average food, floor very dirty
The foid was average at best. Unimaginative but edible.
Nice food but service shocking. Waited 25 mins and finally had to ask someone to come and take our order. This was done with an apology and things seemed to look up - Starters were served promptly followed by our mains. Both were good. However nobody checked at any point how things were. Once plates were cleared we expected someone to offer coffee/desserts. Another 25 min wait by which time we asked for the manager. He was very apologetic and offered complimentary drinks/desserts but by this time we were fed up and felt like we were invisible as we were only a table of two. We received a discount which was fair but would have much rather paid full price and had an enjoyable experience. Sadly we won't be back.
Lovely food. Team were helpful. Booked table wasn’t free when we arrived but they seated us at a temporary table and mr us were provided do we could decide whilst waiting. Reasonable price and Conedy club is great.
Provoked for pre_theatre meal @ 1800. At 1820 they took both drinks and food order. At 1835 they brought our starters. At 1920 and after chasing our order twice, we finally got our mains. The food was poor & so was the service. Definitely will not go back or recommend it to anyone. Needless to say we complained & got a discount on our bill, which was the only decent thing we got from them all night.
Shockingly bad service and average food.
Won't be back
Went here before the show, staff were all very friendly, it was busy but the quality of food was excellent. Highly recommend
Prompt service and food was good. 3 course meal for just under £20,you can't complain at that. Great place for pre concert meal. We will definitely be back.
Wish we had discovered this before!! Great value food, and right across from the Secc, Armadilo and Hydro.
Very slow service with a lengthy wait between starters and mains. 1 hour 40 minutes in total for a 2 course meal. Not ideal for pre-theatre. Food ok when it did arrive but on basis of this visit, I would not recommend or rush back.
Everything was fine, good food.
Only comment would be was we didn't know who our server was as we had about six different people coming over to us taking our order, drinks orders and asking how our meal was etc.
Great food at a good price. Second time here, first time the staff were very attentive, second time still good but despite plenty staff being on I had to go to the bar to ask for another drink and took time to get someone’s attention to get the bill.
We got put in a dark booth where lights were not working, had to use my torch on my mobile to see menu and when I notified the staff they laughed and said it was good I had a torch. This was highly embarrassing as my eyesight can be poor. Please refer your-staff to discrimination rights. Food was very basic
First visit on Friday and will definitely be back. Food was excellent, cocktails were fab and service great.
My children strips were a little overdone as was the burger I got,
Although we booked, the table was very small and the chairs were like school plastic ones and very uncomfortable. The only choice was the pre-concert menu with two or three courses to choose from. We only wanted one course and we’re told that was fine. We had chilli nachos each and a drink. Thought it was a bit expensive at £42.
nice food always use before a concert .It's great that they have car parking available
Food was god apart from the starter which was Luke warm in the middle
Our 3rd visit Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Lovely food. Great staff. Excellent value for pre theatre meal but didn’t feel rushed. Will definitely go again
Booked this at the last minute before a show at the Hydro and what a find!! Unique building in a great location which has been fitted out well. Good menu with lightning, excellent service by friendly staff.
Downsides are: toilets on top floor need refurbed and also the cheap plastic chairs I last sat on at school which were in the restaurant don't work and take away from the dining experience
We visited Mezze as they had gluten free options on their menu. The food was just above average (friends said it was the beat battered calamari they’d ever had). Our servers were friendly, however we noticed towards the end of our meal we had to wait quite a long time to be noticed. House red wine was okay, nothing special.
I pre booked a table for six online which was very easy, however, the food took a long time to come out of the kitchen and two of the party didn’t even receive their starters before we received our main course.
The Resturant was very noisy and we found conversation difficult.
One waiter was very sympathetic to our situation and gave us complimentary drinks as an apology.
Would I return to the pre theatre Bar Diner? Probably not.
Booked a table for dinner, pre-theatre menu appeared good value. Starters were disappointing - mozzarella and cherry tomato salad came with one small shred of mozzarella and no tomato. Sent back and came back with chopped tomatoes thrown on top.
Mains were both burgers. Shop bought coleslaw and tasteless burgers. Very disappointing experience.
Nice cosy surroundings, good food and excellent service.
