Great food and service.
Amazing service and experience!! I loved every second of it! Thank you Guillermo and Mario!!
The PROS: The place is amazing, location , atmosphere, music, decor, etc. The food is very good a little bit cold but tasty.
The CONS: SERVICE, have to say that service is terrible! Starting with the maître as soon as you sit down he start pushing with expensive drinks and food appetizers. When check arrived had some extras that we didn't order we ask the waiter to fix it and the bad attitude started he got extremely angry arguing that he never makes mistakes with bills. He said that we should talk to the manager. Manager came 20 minutes after that with the new check in a terrible attitude he didn't talk to us not even apologize for the mistake. Collected the bill and left. Dissappointing with such a huge investment having that people running the business.
Excellent food and service.
Excelente precio!
We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Rosa Negra on a Saturday evening.
Our overall experience was fantastic. We were welcomed and given a choice of indoor or outdoor seating. We chose an indoor table, but would recommend taking a look at an outside dining option. Either would be lovely.
Our main server was Miguel. Miguel is so friendly, informed and genuinely sweet-natured. It was like he was welcoming us into his home that hid a treasure trove of secret goodies.
The food choices are vast, and our family includes a non-meat eater, so any food preference is easily addressed. The food was hands-down spectacular. All our orders were well prepared and delicious. And the presentation is artful and simple at the same time.
Following dinner, we shared a couple of incredible desserts, including a chocolate ball-enclosed ice cream treat that has to be seen to be believed.
By this time, Miguel excitedly invited us to stay a little longer for (what we understand to be) a Saturday night tradition of the whole restaurant holding sparklers, singing “Sweet Caroline” en masse, followed by fireworks over the bay.
A truly memorable experience for anyone who is in Cancun. Thanks to Miguel and the whole staff at Rosa Negra!
Increíble experiencia de principio a fin , deliciosa comida , buena atención, hermoso restaurante...
Gracias por tan bonita sorpresa de aniversario ❤️💑
This was our favorite amongst all of the Cancun restaurants in the group that owns it.. (Others include Harry’s which has amazing therateical showmanship and Tora, an inventive Asian inspired venue.
They are all across from the Marriott hotels so they are very conveniently located.
They are all facing the bay or inlet waterway, perfect for sunset. Equally they back up on piers to give maximum ambience. Dining outdoors, especIally recommend that you request tables that are open air make the ambience unbeatable. Combined with Dj’s spinning great music that creates a pulse, the food makes it a total experience. Lastly all of these restaurants are loaded with management walking around, making observations, and letting customers know that they are there for any assistance, and they mean it!
So why is Rosa Negra our favorite? The menu was inventive and has multiple salads that are plentiful. The ami course portion of the menu was diverse and very interesting.
On the Saturday night that we dined they had fireworks! We were told early on that this would be at 10:00 and had no problem enjoying an extra half hour of music and drinks until the nice touch was added!
Great experience once again. Great view, wonderful service & fantastic food!
This place was our favorite restaurant of the entire trip. Coming from Seattle and Portland, we have high expectations for food, and Rosa Negra exceeded them! Cancun seemed hard to find a place that wowed our palate but Rosa Negra pulled out all of the stops and blew our taste buds away!
Try the risotto filet and the pisco negra cocktail, you won’t be disappointed!
Great food, great atmosphere, great music and fabulous service!
Food was fresh and flavors were amazing. The staff and our waiter Jacob was fun, informative, and his recomendations were spot on. Cocktails were unique and refreshing
Great restaurant for the hotel zone. Funky vibe modern decor awesome music. We dined on the terrace. (recommended). Our waiter Guillermo and his assistant was very attentive. Although sometimes felt busy with so many staff around.
Cocktails were inventive. Recommend the spicy cucumber cocktail. Food was not traditional Mexican. Lots of options of meat seafood and veg. Check out menu online. Had the Nigerian shrimp which was almost the size of the plays. Tasty and filling. Partner had the rib eye. Wagu and Kobe beef also available.
Dinner was a birthday celebration. So dessert came a roman candle. It was gratis so not sure why they asked if wanted dessert before the birthday dessert.
Definitely a repeat upon return to beautiful Cancun.
Just a big tourist trap with lots of glitz and mediocre food. Prices are over the top for the quality of the cooking.
Delicious food. Energetic ambiance. Awesome staff. Loved it all.
First time visiting. Hoping to sit on terrace but it seems you need to get there early like 6 or 7pm in order for that to happen. Service was all over the place. Drinks came fairly quickly, though it took almost 40 minutes to get their bread. Finally ordered and food was high quality and tasty. Lobster was delicious as was the giant shrimp. The server was amazing. The waiter seemed stressed.
I could dine here every night. Rosa Negra has become one of our Cancún favorites! The setting, the service, the food, the cocktails & wine were beyond expectations
it was awesome!!! ... loved the food!!.. great service, great place!!
Very good food, awesome service and ambience. Highly recommend
Everything was perfect for my 60th birthday. 5 stars all the way.
Fabulous on every level!
The level of noise it’s unbearable, we arrived late and they have cancelled the reservation without contacting me.
We asked a table with low level of noise and after waiting 30 minutes they apologized but seated us near a DJ and percussionists. Unbearable, I said then we were leaving because the noise and they did not charge us the drinks at the bar table.
Great food and music
The food, music and service was amazing. The staff were very accommodating of our children and made them feel very special. Definitely recommend it and would go back.
Love this restaurant
It impressed. Overpriced food, not the best service. Drinks were very sweet. Restaurant advice: do not recommend bringing “fresh” meat and seafood to the table to showcase your menu. It was not a good idea seeing the manager touching all the meats like it was a meat market...
Food was unique and delicious. Each dish was a work of art. However, the service was not attentive even though there were so many service people. We will not return because this wasn’t “our scene”. The music/DJ was intolerably loud and the atmosphere catered to a much younger trendy crowd... not us retirees on vacation.
Our favorite restaurant In Cancún! Service was outstanding. We went two nights in a row.
My Birthday party. We found out about your restaurant last year and it was one of the highlights were looking to return back this trip to enjoy.
The food and atmosphere were OUTSTANDING! We especially like the decor, background music and mixologist (great cocktails). Each dish was beautifully presented. We started with two salads (HUGE) and grilled calamari. My husband had the black pasta which came with a variety of fresh seafood. My daughter had the "Don Ricardo fish" which was a whole fish, fried and beautifully presented (if not intimidating). I had the Peruvian Seafood rice dish which was also loaded with seafood, although my mussels were overcooked. My husband and daughter had coconut ice cream while I indulged in the churros. The service was attentive (though their English was limited) and friendly. All in all, excellent dining experience rivaling anything you would get in the US. This was among the best of our Cancun experiences.
A fantastic experience! A special thanks to Fabiola, Roberto and Odell for their kind, and excellent service. We had fun and really enjoyed the gin cart.
Both food and service were excellent! Enjoyed the cool vibe and sleek decor. Highly recommend the Salmon Coconut Ceviche and the Peruvian Ceviche.
This is now our family’s favorite restaurant in Cancun.
The ages went from 64-9. There was seven of us. From the time we walked into the front door until the time we left we were in awe. The service was top notch. Everyone’s meals were outstanding. Then we topped it off with two desserts. My only regret is that I wished we would have come during the week with
the children and not on a Friday night. The crowd on Friday night is younger and rather obnoxious. The smoking of cigarettes at the tables was unappetizing.
