The staff is amazing. Our waitress walked us through the menu and gave great suggestions. Food and drinks were great. The atmosphere was awesome, not too crowded. We will be returning
Yulia was very attentive. Good was great. Had a fun time.
Absolutely great time
Thoroughly enjoyed the food. To be honest I was quite surprised by its quality! I think everything I had was my favorite. My date and I decided that this will be our new spot! Our waiter also let us take to go boxes while most places who serve all you can eat brunches in DC do not, that was greatly appreciated!
Valentine’s Day brunch event was a vibe. I enjoyed myself and the food.
Food was great, enjoyed the variety! All Staff was very friendly and responsive!
Loved the location, staff was friendly, food was great. Definitely would come back.
It was a great time
Simply amazing they even play music for my birthday made sure the drinks was coming to my table on time I absolutely love it
Service was amazing - the staff did a terrific job taking care of us and making us feel safe. Unfortunately, it can be a rough area at night. Two drunk girls caused a disturbance trying to get into the restaurant after too many drinks and were screaming at security outside of our igloo - that kind of ruined the end of the evening for us and made us leave quickly. It definitely wasn’t the fault of the restaurant, but that is the area this place is in. I would still recommend it for an every day meal, maybe lunch would be better, the food was pretty good and again excellent service, super nice employees.
Thank you for your review. Apologies for the incident with the girls that were being loud and rude. They rushed into the restaurant carrying to go drinks from another establishment and we had to ask them to leave as they were too intoxicated. I can assure you that Connecticut Ave is one of the safest neighborhoods in DC and not rough at all!
Their chicken wings are fire a must have!🔥🔥💪🏾💪🏾
The food was amazing and the staff was great as well
We went for the igloo fixed menu dining experience. It was cute and cozy! Loved the innovation in how to safely dine and social distance in the winter. The tent was warm. We enjoyed our meal. The food was good. Appreciated that there were a variety of thoughtful options for vegetarians and omnivores. Small thing - I ordered the chicken and waffles - would have preferred chicken and not the (chicken) tenders.
Went and had dinner with friends in a,”bubble “ due to covid 19.
Food was very good, as was the service.
When we are back in town again we will definitely stop by for a visit.
New Year’s Eve
My boyfriends birthday
Love it!!! great being outside in our igloo
Seriously, this place is a hidden gem. When you want casual dining, at a reasonable price, in a safe location in DC, the Rewind Diner is a great choice.
The order of a breakfast burger, chicken and waffles and a coke came up to less than $45. Parking was super easy, and again, the location on Connecticut Avenue is a relative safe place in the city.
Very friendly, helpful and pleasant people there.
Food was delicious-m and so “tastefully“ presented.
That French toast is a winner no matter what time of day it is!👏🏾
A special Open Table promotion enticed us to try Rewind which is far off our beaten path for weekend restaurants. Rewind appears to be newly opened. The crowd was sparse even for a Sunday evening in downtown DC. Thus, we were greeted immediately and given a choice of seats. I ordered the chicken and waffle that was served in good time but was a bit overdone. We might try Rewind again if we are in walking distance in the area or visiting the adjacent Decades night club. Nearby parking garages are closed Sunday evening making parking a real hassle. That was the only real downer for the evening. We should have taken Metro. The Farragut North station is a short walk away.
Casual and fun! Always a hit
Awesome place very low key and the food is awesome. Definitely will be back
Hard to give a review as we never went inside. Outside there were crowds partying in the streets and loud music coming from the restaurant. Women were dressed like they were going clubbing. The smell of marijuana was in the air and we think someone was puking on the sidewalk. With all that, we did not go inside to eat with our three kids under 12.
Wine was extremely expensive! House red $12! Had lunch two doors up and house wine was $7 & it was a much better pour!
My experience here was terrible. The service was the worst part. I don’t believe there were enough waiters, so the manager was trying to do everything. We paid for bottomless mimosas, which weren’t constantly filled. Not to mention, there’s only one pitcher per table, which is going to go fast with a table of 3 or more. We spent so much time waiting for assistance. By the time I got my food, it was cold. They need better organization and help!
We are a family of 5, on vacation. This diner is not family friendly, very very loud music. We stayed anyway because the kids were hungry and the menu sounded great. But they were then out of many of the items we wanted to order. Very kind and friendly staff, but do not go there with young kids or if you want specific things from their menu.
Located next to a club, this is the perfect place to stop by after drinking for a good breakfast. The food was good. But there aren't real tables here; mostly couches around coffee tables like you find in a club. If you want a regular, eat-around-a-table brunch place, which is what we were looking for, I'd suggest going somewhere else. If you want an interesting, brunch-on-your-lap casual experience, this place is good.
The food was tasty enough.
We were there early evening and could tell by the DJ presence and livelier by the minute music that things were going to get quite cranked up for a pleasant club scene vibe.
The seating was just a little too low for my taste but they did have high chairs also.
Still, a perfect spot for a drink and some musical entertainment.
“Classic” and “premium” are not words I’d use to describe this place. Food was mediocre. Service was worse. Wouldn’t recommend, not with so many better options around Connecticut ave and DuPont Circle.
Really good food and fast service.
We had a great time at Rewind Diner! The staff were super-friendly and accommodating for our large party, and the food was great. Will definitely return!
I took my out-of-towner relatives there for brunch and really wish I hadn't. They were out of 90 percent of the things we tried to order, and they didn't tell us they were out until the food started coming -- for example, my mother originally ordered a waffle with SoCo covered peaches; she received two plain, dry pancakes. They even told us they didn't have hot water for tea. (The server actually said to us, "We don't usually have this on hand." ... you don't have WATER on hand?!) The server was unapologetic and ignored our table most of the time. When the food did arrive, it was mediocre at best. Easily the worst dining experience I've had in D.C. in years. Stay far, far away.
Lettuce in side salad was wilted and sour tasting. Asked for no cheese on the veggie burger. It had been put on and instead of changing the bun, they simply removed the cheese (could see the remnant on the bun). Was sick the next day and while can’t be certain it was from the food, will not chance it again
I used a groupon here, and though the food was good, the setting was more like a lounge than restaurant. The only seating was at the bar or on lounges with low tables. The server was very attentive.
Ordered the hot dog and took over 30 minutes to arrive
We appeared to be one of the first ones in for the day. The food was good and quick.,the service was great as well.
This is a very good vibes restaurant where the staff and food is always very good. I always have a great time here.
They were out of so many items to include meals on the menu and chilled wine that is supposed to be served cold. The ladies restroom had a horrible smell and once the wine was chilled the bartender didn’t even pour a full glass. I wouldn’t recommend this place for dining. We were the only patrons there at the time and service was still bad.
Very inattentive staff. Dead there and no wonder they are offering a groupon too.
The service was horrible and waitress was nowhere to be seen. The resturant was part of a nightclub and we were ID in order to enter and people just constantly walked through on their way to the club. It was very loud. I would only recommend going if they were giving bonus points.
