   The immediate impression was one of a beautiful and cozy ambiance in the restaurant. The staff were courteous, attentive, kind, and accommodating to my dietary preferences and restrictions, and provided in-depth details about the tasting menu items and drinks. The chef prepared a selection of vegetarian and pescatarian-friendly options as a modification to the chef's tasting menu, which was amazing and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Birmingham as a place for a tasty meal, beautiful ambience, and great staff.

   I have always liked tasting concept, let the Chef’s cook their best food. It requires some trust. It’s a culinary experience! I highly recommend it!

   Our waiter, went by the name Smooth, made our evening most enjoyable. He was knowledgeable and explained every dish as it was presented. We were pleased with the quality of every course. Afterwards we were introduced to the pastry chef, Kate. She was a delightful person with a beautiful personality. We were grateful for this dining experience.

   My kids loved the food. I had to designate that I’m vegan before hand. So if you don’t do so, don’t expect any option.

   We were excited to have a fine dining experience in Birmingham, and to try Reve. We arrived and were seated at table for two. As a party of three this was a bit uncomfortable, especially as there were many empty tables available (which were never filled). We ordered the 6 course tasting menu, and began the night with featured cocktails: French 75 and the Romance Is Not Dead. These were fun and unique and got us off to a good start. Our first course was a “Massachusetts oyster with fermented strawberry foam” and steak tartar. The oyster was interesting and the tartar tasty. Sadly, things went downhill from there. The spring vegetable course was underwhelming and the fish course inedible. Unfortunately, the service staff did not take note of our uneaten plates. The duck was good, but not spectacular. The palate cleanser of “nearly burnt cream with honey ice” was probably the best course. Unfortunately, Reve does not deliver the elevated flavors and fine dining experience we were expecting at this price point.

After reviewing with our team, no concerns were raised during your visit—we always welcome the chance to make real-time adjustments. It also seems there may have been a misunderstanding: the Bavarois beneath the hamachi is a mousse of fresh herbs (dill, tarragon, parsley), not puréed fish. The peas in our spring vegetable dish are sourced locally and cooked to retain their natural texture. We appreciate your feedback and hope you’ll give us another opportunity in the future.

   We were orettt underwhelmed by the dinner overall. The potato rosti was very heavy as a first course and very greasy. The sauce from the steak au poivre was extremely peppery. The monk fish texture was not appealing. The service was good and wine was good as well.

   Delicious tasting menu and wine pairing that compares to other major cities and ranked restaurants. We did the 6 course tasting with wine pairings and am planning a return for the 10 course

   Heads up foodies! Put this one on your list. Outstanding cuisine and service. The 6-course tasting menu was perfectly executed and imaginative. Chapeau!

   It's a new restaurant and they're getting their feet under them, but the food and service are worth any wait you might have. The wait staff are some of the best I've ever had and the food was exciting, bold, and in perfect portions.

    We spoke of a pork allergy twice, yet were still served pork. Overall, each course was very bland. We’ve visited tasting tbl multiple times, so this was a bit of a disappointment. We will not be returning.
