Todo exquisitamente preparado. Las carnes son tan tiernas que se deshacen en la boca. Muy recomendable. Voy a regresar.
This is an absolute Jewel of a gourmet restaurant! Any foodie would be thrilled to find this level of service and food execution in San Francisco or any major city.
It's a small restaurant with an elegant atmosphere. from the moment you enter you are warmly greeted. The service is attentive friendly and professional without being overbearing.
We started with the beet salad and the zucchini tostada. My husband was so impressed with the flavor of the beets that we had to ask our waiter which spice was used. Our server checked with the kitchen and reported it was Chinese five-spice. So unusual yet delicious. The zucchini tostada was so delicious I didn't want to add any of the olive oil that came with it. I was encouraged to do so and wasn't disappointed.
We ordered the octopus, the chicken, and the roasted cauliflower. All were wonderfully executed and artfully arranged on the plate. the chicken was very tender and cooked to perfection. The chopped vegetables it was served on top of were so flavorful I could have made a whole meal of that.
The wine list contains wine exclusively from Mexico which we really appreciated. For dessert we had the chocolate lava cake and dove in so fast that I was unable to get a photo. Absolutely we will be back every year that we visit! We have family who lives in PV and they had not tried the restaurant. We took them out a second night and they were equally impressed.
El lugar tiene buena ambientacion. La carta de vinos es buena y la comida esta muy bien realizada. Las porciones son suficientes.
Great little restaurant in Puerto Vallarta, by far the best modern mexican cusine restaurant in town. Highly recomendable. Service is great as well!!!

This was a Restaurant Week option and wanted to try a new place. We were surprised and pleased with the service and food. Will definitely return.
Great experience as always. We live nearby and have been many times. Service is great and truly one of the most inventive menus in PV - this is not your abuelas Mexican food. Their cocktails, especially the left side of the menu vs the classics on the right side, are an adventure in the art of mixology. See you again on Saturday for our friends’ 1st night in PV.

Dining at Icu was a wonderful experience. We were celebrating our engagement and they made us feel welcome and special. I had booked a few months in advance on open table when the restaurant used to be open on Sundays. Recently Icu changed their hours to be closed on Sundays. However they didn’t want to cancel so they opened the restaurant especially for us and were so gracious ! The food was outstanding. We enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu. Each dish was visually stunning, and perfectly balanced. We can’t wait to go back next time we are in Puerto Vallarta. Arnold , our server was wonderful! Thanks for the unforgettable private dining experience!
This little place continues to wow. The staff is outstanding and attentive without being overbearing. The food is wonderful and creative. The zucchini tostada and the red snapper tacos were amazing. The duck was a little misstep to my palate, the flavors did not quite meld. Otherwise, it is 5 stars and 2 thumbs up!

Quiet, intimate, soft lighting. This is one of the best restaurants in Vallarta. The tasting menus offer creative and exciting riffs on classic Mexican dishes. Also, the bartender knows how to make a good drink.
Decidimos celebrar nuestro aniversario en este fresco y diferente concepto. La atmósfera es muy actual y la comida es sorprendente. Elegí el menú 5 tiempos y los 5 fueron deliciosos, pero lo más exquisito fue el cierre con el mouse de maracuya y plátano.

As with many other reviews, we agree this place is wonderful. We spent a lot of time searching for interesting food of good quality, and this restaurant really does fit the bill for one of the best in town. The small tasting menu was quite adequate. The steak dish was so tender that you almost hated using a knife on it. Please go there and support this wonderful restaurant. By the way, the Uber driver could not find the restaurant to pick us up, so I simply gave my phone to the staff who directed him to its location. When we first arrived, I couldn’t find the front door myself, but it turned out that the wood paneling on the outside was the door.

Two of us are Vegan, and I assumed because our friends had said that this was an excellent restaurant with skilled chefs, that they would be able to make a fantastic vegan meal. Yes they made a great plate presentation with the veggies, but it was non-edible.I was greatly disappointed. Our waiter did apologize profusely. His service was perfect and he had a great sense of humor.
But our guest that eats meat says his filet was excellent, and his chocolate fondant was to die for. Plate presentation was excellent.

Con respecto a que el chef solo trata con extranjeros, no es así, somos dos chefs en el restaurante que buscamos siempre atender personalmente a todos nuestros clientes, sin importar de donde son, lo cual nos ha distinguido desde que abrimos.
This is a fine dining restaurant for foodies. The food, ingredients and presentation is excellent. The chef is actively engaged. We have gone 2 times and will be back!
It's an amazing experience. It's all about the food, they are passionate about what they do and it shows. The 5 course tasting menu is imaginative and expertly paired with alcoholic beverages that compliment the dish. Even though the 5 course menu is pre-set and fixed price, they are more than happy to adjust the options for you. We had guests who don't eat red meat and each of them ordered something different. My only suggestion is to request a table on the side. We were placed in the centre of the room and found it difficult to hear one another. ( I think the overhead fans in the exposed kitchen also contribute to the the cacophony of sound.)
We love Icu. This was our 3rd visit and was just as outstanding as previous visits. Try it, you will love it!

We would not have known about Icu without a local recommending it to us. We were so glad she did! The tamale was otherworldly, but there were so many delicious dishes we tried. We loved sitting near the open kitchen, seeing the chefs at work. We also were introduced to so many Mexican wines we never would have known about. Overall a highlight of our dining in PV.
We chose the five course tasting menu and it was amazing. I highly recommend ICU to foodies and people who like slow food. This is food at its finest.
