I was surprised by some of the reviews here. We've eaten there twice. Both times the food was great, the service excellent, and lovely ambiance inside and out. Lots of attention to detail that made the experience special.
Food is ok
Nothing outstanding but good.
Service is good
We have eaten here many times and have always had outstanding food and service. We were very disappointed this evening as we went for our anniversary and things were not as nice as usual. It took forever to get our drinks and the waiter never offered us water until I asked another waiter for it. The tuna rolls appetizers were literally inedible. The wrapping was poorly done and there were huge hunks of unseasoned raw tuna inside. I am positive the actual chef would never have sent out that mess. I suppose he was not in the restaurant on this night. We will go back again because we like the restaurant and are hoping it was just an off night when the chef was away and the rest of the staff got lazy.
New Year’s Eve dinner was ridiculously expensive, service was terrible and food was mediocre. Cannot recommend.
At a friend's recommendation, my small group booked Cedron for New Year's Eve - fixed price of roughly $100pp plus tips, beverages, taxes. We were hounded by the admin department to prepay and they would not accept a cc over the phone. We made an out-of-the-way trip to prepay on our first day in CDMX.
We were greeted enthusiastically on the evening and that is where the joy stopped. Service was ok for the first 20 minutes and then fell off the cliff. Wine brought - no taste offered - no pours offered. Strictly self-serve. The food was mediocre at best which was a real disappointment.
We had grand expectations. The coup de gras occurred when we asked for the bill. The bill did not show that we had prepaid after all of that fuss. One of the many servers and one we had not seen all evening was not going to process our payment for the drinks because she did not like the fact that we were not going to tip 15% on the total amount. It was ugly. She finally processed with a much lower tip - one that reflected the total evening. Such a shame.
Unfortunately the hostess was so rude that we were unable to make our reservation. We called several times and were hung up on. This wasn’t the level of service we were expecting and we were disappointed.
It was nice, good food and service. I will return soon.
Outdoor dining in this neighborhood made me think of a courtyard with heaters and Christmas lights. We get there and are shuttled through a marvelous dining room with a welcoming, festive atmosphere to some stairs where we are taken upstairs to a sparsely furnished, dismal floor with all the other Americans. We are handed fixed price “holiday” menus and a holiday cocktail list. The holiday cocktails were premixed so when I ordered something not on it the waitress rolled her eyes at me. The food was fine, as in “meh”. Too salty. The minute you paused in your consumption of a dish, it was scurried away. The primary objective seemed to be to turn over the table. The waitress was openly rude. Gratuity was included, after all. Not the place to go on a holiday.
Christmas dinner. Spacious, not too loud, friendly staff, set menu was delicious.
They don’t honor the reservation, the host told me reservation doesn’t guarantee a table and if they are busy we will have to wait for an hour (in our case that’s what they asked us to do)
Awesome place! Great French cuisine in Mexico City. Very good wine selection. Authentic French dishes. A new must in CDMX for me.
La comida es deliciosa. Para grupos pequeños. Cierran temprano
Attentive Wait Service. Diverse menu, food was well-presented and tasty. My friend had the kidney dish and said it was tender and delicious.
Muy buena opción para desayunar. El pan, café, huevos ahogados, excelentes!! Muesli, no tanto. Aunque fue cortesía. Bastante recomendable!
Excelente comida, lugar y experiencia
Good food, nice place, nice chef. A very good moment
Gran lugar, comida excelente, servicio impecable!!
Food was incredible. Friendly and impeccable staff. Specially Mario. Worth the experience.
It was a quiet night at the restaurant considering it was a Friday. But it was also Independence Day weekend. They had one lower priced chardonnay wine option which was delicious -- 200 pesos per glass (about $10 U.S.). Had the filet mignon with morel mushroom sauce and a potato puree. Delicious!! Servers were very attentive and pleasant.
good food, regular coffee, nice place and ambience, expensive!
Excelentes platillos y decoración
It was wonderful. The chef watched every move and personally thanked us for coming as we left. We will go back next time.
