Everything was excellent, highly recommended while in Puerto Vallarta!
We went for NYE and there was a set menu which was perfect, it was not windy or too cold but I did see they offered blankets to the ladies. The food was delicious and was also beautifully displayed. Service was top notch, we had a wonderful experience!
Great food. Great service Great ambiance
Amazing dinner with friends! The food, service and ambiance was incredible! The lobster fish I had was some of the best I have ever had! Everything was perfect!
There were nine of us and we came at sunset. The restaurant was not crowded and very peaceful. Light music was playing in the background . there had just been a wedding out on the grass and then we got to see the sunset.
A few children were playing in the river nearby and the whole ambience was great. Our staff was very attentive and brought some fun drinks for everyone to enjoy.
We have a variety of eaters so we tried everything from the soups , tortilla, mushroom, Cream of asparagus. The vegetable plate was delicious for a light eating, two of us had steak with truffle mashed potatoes that were wonderful. One of us had a tomahawk pork chop it was two meals worth and great baked potatoes. One had a really great seafood pasta and for our younger either they made a cheese quesadilla with chicken rice and guacamole on the side. Everybody was satiated and the prices were very reasonable.
It was my second time there but my first time for dinner I will be back.
Entre was average (referred to egg noodles as fettecini), tamale appetizer was really very good. They make great custom cocktails at your table. Cornbread dessert was delicious but my wife's creme brulais had a strange flavor.
Our experience at Oscar's was a little strange, and we really wanted to like it, because it has had favorable reviews. The restaurant is in a very nice location; you can see the sunset at dinner from their patio, and the location is near the ocean/river, where walking is very scenic. The restaurant itself is quite lovely. What was strange was this: it was a Saturday night, and there was no one in the restaurant. I think that there may have been 2 other tables, and the restaurant is large. We could not understand this, based on reviews, location, and the upscale fare that is offered. There is a very nice and varied selection on the menu, which will cater to anyone's taste. Our food was well-prepared, and the cocktails were well-made. Two of us had mahi mahi, and 2 of us had steak. The portions were generous, and our meals were tasty. Our waiter, however, was humourless, and wasn't the usual enthusiastic, warm, friendly kind of personality that we have experienced at other restaurants. He seemed grim, and we are a very friendly group! At the end of the meal, as we were proceeding to pay, he informed us that "our tip should be in pesos." Fair enough, but it was said as if it was an order--not very diplomatic! The guy just didn't seem like he was very happy. Perhaps he takes his job very seriously? We'd recommend this restaurant for the high quality of the meal, and the restaurant is very visually appealing, but our experience just could have been a little lifted by a waiter with a different personality. As well, we're still puzzled as to why the restaurant was so empty on a Saturday night.
They surprised my wife with a delicious birthday dessert! Wonderful service, and romantic atmosphere right on the ocean. Candlelit tables and piano music.
Wonderful setting with great service. The mixologist was terrific. The food was well presented and prepared but the portions were small for the cost.
Was recommended to us by a friend. Very happy that he did. Views are scenery is amazing. Very well put together restaurant. Food was great, margaritas were amazing and the house distilled tequila sampler at the end of dinner was very informative and tasted great! Waiter told us a few times how "amazing" and the "best" this restaurant was, the drinks were, the food was. Got a little annoying after the 2nd time but it's ok. I do recommend checking out when you're in town with a significant other, you will enjoy
I can’t understand why this place isn’t booked solid, I can’t say enough about how great the overall experience was. My wife and I have dined worldwide and have been out to dinner hundreds of times over the last 6 years we have spent winters in PV. This place has become one of our favorites.
We had the tomahawk pork chop which was a little dry and the filet mignon was over cooked and not very tender. The lobster bisque soup was average as was the caprese salad.
We last visited this establishment two years ago and had a wonderful meal at the time.
We could never figure out why it was never busy when we crossed the bridge going to old town. This beautiful restaurant sits on the river and can be seen from the pedestrian bridge along the melacon extension and old town.
There was less than 10 people in the restaurant at the time we visited. The service was excellent and he made a good wine suggestion.
Puerto Vallarta restaurant scene is very competitive and with so many excellent options this may fall short.
Beautiful setting. Food was nicely presented and very tasty. Lobster soup was delicious. Mushroom soup was good, but not as tasty as the lobster soup. Salmon and chicken were both yummy with delicious sauces. Steak was cooked just right and very tender. Seafood pasta was enjoyed by all who ordered it. Service was mediocre — a bit disappointing, given that this is one of the higher-priced restaurants in PV, and it was not that busy.
Just perfect.
Los camarones estan magnifico. Soy Canadiense. No puedo escribar mas.
Simply a great dining experience. The service was first rate, and the waiters brought us a free desert for our anniversary. First rate food and it was quite inexpensive.
This place is absolutely beautiful. The food was superb and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed our experience so much we not only have lunch we went back for a romantic dinner.
Service and food is always outstanding. The asparagus soup is some of the best I have ever had.
Todo muy bien
The restaurant setting is beautiful. The piano player added ambience to the sounds of the ocean waves. Our waiters were perfectly attentive without being bothersome. Our beet salad was delicious. But my husbands pork chop was over cooked and tasteless. My “fish of the day” also had no flavor.
Beautiful place but food needs go be improved and prices lowered.
Good fish. Beautiful setting. Good service
There was us and a wedding party otherwise restaurant was empty. We seated far enough away (nice table by the river ) so we never heard the large group 😃. Food was very good but portions were a little small. A big presentation for bananas flambé which was nice to watch. Frozen margaritas were very good but the Mexican coffee after dinner was flambéd like the bananas and all the alcohol (Kaluha and tequila was burned off ! Good value as prices were a little less than competitors.
It was an inauspicious beginning when we entered a large dining area that was virtually empty on Christmas Eve. The waiter assured us it would be filled shortly. It never filled! It seemed like everyone else in Puerto Vallarta knew that this restaurant serves poor food except us. Stay away from the fish chicharrones. All bread no fish. The ribeye steak was 3/4 of an inch thick, about half the width of what we were expecting. The red mole sauce was OK and the lobster bisque soup had no trace of lobster in it. It still was our most expensive dinning experience in Puerto Vallarta!
Amazing! Had the Lobster Special and some awesome mezcal cocktails. We are definitely going back!
